The nice thing about Alter Bridge is you know exactly what you getting. Myles Kennedy has benefitted from working the past few years with Slash. The Alter Bridge sound is very recognizable and that is a good thing.

What's great about it: Great Riffs
What's not so great: They're Still Missing That "Thing"
Devils 'N Darlins benefits from the vocal excellence of Ed Roland (of Collective Soul). Those expecting music similar to Collective Soul are going to be pretty disappointed though. This music is definitely not rock oriented.
I bought this because I wanted to hear Nickelback take on "Legs" and what I was treated to was a full album of greatness. "Sharp Dressed Man" sang by Steven Tyler is a gem. Filter performing "Gimme All Your Lovin'" is awesome. Even a reggae version of "Rough Boy" is fun to listen to. Buy this album if you are a fan of ZZ Top and/or good rock & roll.
What's great about it: Harder Versions of ZZ Top Songs
I would not have expected a live album from Slash to be available, mainly because his recent album used guest vocalists on each song. One of those guest vocalists was Alter Bridge frontman Miles Kennedy. Kennedy sings every song on this live album. He excels on some songs, but on a few others it is just too difficult to exceed the original vocalists. This 3-Disc version includes a DVD of a small selection of songs (5 to be exact), so that was kind of disappointing (a tease if you will). It is great to hear Slash play some of the older stuff in his own way now that Guns 'N Roses is no longer together (at least the band featuring Slash).
This is the second album from the hair metal band Steel Panther. The lyrics are just as inappropriate as the first album, but not as strong. I look forward to the next album this band puts out, but I hope they come up with some better riffs.
The first studio album by Foxy Shazam is an excellent one. This is the MUST HAVE album of 2010 (so far). If you are a fan of The Darkness, Queen, or just great grooves then you will love this album. The world needs to know about Foxy Shazam!
As a writer/director, Edward Burns has no equal. When he made "The Brothers McMullen" he put himself in the game, then he made "She's The One" which established himself, and then came "No Looking Back" which put him in the all-star category. If you liked anyone one of his first three films you will love "Purple Violets".
This is the most loaded DVD collection ever. Each movie has the original film and the director's cut(or bonus cut). If you dedicate yourself to watching everything on these discs you will be busy for MONTHS.
And that is not even considering how amazing these films are as stand-alone movies.
If you're looking for a movie with a lot of singing, over-the-top characters, and bright colors...then this is your movie. The DVD has some interesting special features on it, but that doesn't help it from catering to a very niche audience.
