Best Movie Ever
on February 23, 2008
Posted by: Giraffe
I really like this movie a lot. I'm pretty sure that this movie came out in 1980. Sam J Jones was the perfect choice for Flash Gordon, I love the part where he says "Well, I guess I'll be running along now." I pushed the rewind button many times for that part, it's hilarious. The reason why I find that part to be so funny is because when he says that he gets out of the spaceship and very convincingly acts as though he's going to leave the girl with this crazy mad scientist, who plans on going out in to outer space in a spaceship that he made. I really thought that Flash was going to leave her there and then it's funny when he says "You lunatic!" I laughed again, it was just to great. I also liked how that one hawk man said "Who wants to live forever" which is a song by Queen. I really like this movie and so will you, so you should definitely buy it.

Episodes six through nine of Batman
on February 23, 2008

These are some of the early adventures of Batman. In episode six: The Under Dwellers, there is a crazy man who calls himself the Sewer King and he has a bunch of kids stealing stuff for people on the streets for him. He is very mean to the kids and when he's mad at one of them, then he'll lock them in a room where it's very bright and they don't like the light. So it's up to Batman to save them. In episode seven: P.O.V., there are these three Gotham police officers that are being interrogated. Two of them have the same story and the other has a different story, they are being interrogated about what happened at the warehouse, where there was a robbery and Batman was there. In episode eight: The Forgotten, Bruce Wayne hears that there have been some homeless people that live in Gotham, that have lately been disappearing, so he dies his hair white and pretends to a be homeless man. Then when the guys come to abduct him, one of them catches him by surprises and hits him in the back of the head, thus knocking him out and when he wakes up he has lost his memory. In episode nine: Be a Clown, The Joker shows up at the Mayor's son's birthday party, dressed up as a clown with a big red nose, orange hair on the sides of his head and no hair on top, and a funny looking outfit, so that nobody would recognize him as the Joker, he even makes a different voice. He ends up kidnapping the Mayor's son, so it's up to Batman to save him. I really liked these episodes and I strongly recommend this product.

Batman and the Phantom
on February 23, 2008
Posted by: Giraffe
This is a great movie. In this movie you learn some about Bruce Wayne's past, before he was Batman and this information you will only find in this movie. You also get to learn some about the Joker's past, how he use to be a gangster and this was before he was the Joker. Andrea use to be Bruce Wayne's girlfriend. Her father had borrowed some money from some gangsters (one of them being the Joker, but this was before he was the Joker) and they kept adding more and more interest, so that he would never be able to pay it off. So Andrea and her father left the country, but then the gangsters ended up finding them because someone sold them out. Now ten years later, the Phantom is in Gotham and he's after the gangsters that conned Andrea's father. The mischief that the Phantom is doing is being blamed on Batman because people are mistaking him for Batman (I'm guessing because of the cape). So it's up to Batman to unmask this Phantom and make Gotham realize that his record is clean. The conclusion will leave you in a state of shock in this exciting thriller. So you should definitely buy it if you're in the mood for a great suspense movie.

Barbara gets kidnapped
on February 23, 2008
Posted by: Giraffe
Mister Freeze needs a organ transport for his wife and it just so turns out that Barbara Gordon has the same rare blood type as Mister Freeze's wife. Dick Grayson (Robin) tries to stop Mister Freeze and his polar bears from kidnapping Barbara, but he fails. So it's up to him and Batman to find Barbara and save her. This is a really good movie, especially for a cartoon. I strongly recommend it and I hope you like it as much as I do.

First 3 DBZ Movies
on February 19, 2008
Posted by: Giraffe
These three movies are the first three DBZ movies and they have been redone by the Funimation dub. Originally, these three movies were the only ones not done by the Funimation dub; these three movies were the only DBZ movies to be done by the Ocean dub. I like the Funimation voices better for the most part, but Doctor Wheelo's voice in the Funimation dub is just plain horrible, his voice was a thousand times better in the Ocean dub. Other than that, this box set is pretty good, except for the fact that there is a mistake in "The Tree Of Might" which is that Goku says Kaio-Ken times twenty, when in the original Goku said Kaio-Ken times ten. Since it would be extremely unlikely to find these movies in the Ocean dub and since the only one of these movies that Funimation has sold by itself is the "Dead Zone" movie, it would probably be best to buy this product if you want to watch the first three DBZ movies.
What's great about it: 3 Great movies
What's not so great: Doctor Wheelo's voice

The Fusion Gogeta
on February 18, 2008

The movie starts out being an other world tournament, which ends up being Goku and Pikkon in the final round. It only shows the two short fights of the Semi-Finals before Goku and Pikkon's fight, which ends up getting interrupted by a disturbance because of something going wrong in HFIL. Grand Kai tells Goku and Pikkon to go check it out, what they find there is a gigantic monster whose name is Janempa. Because of Janempa's existence the dimensions become open to each other and so the bad guys that the Z Fighters had beaten are now able to get their revenge. What disappointed me was that the strongest bad guy that you see anyone fight was Freeza. Gohan was the only one that you see fight anyone, but it did show Bojack was there too, but there was no fight with him. Videl shows what a rude idiot she is by breaking a lot of Chi-Chi's dishes for no reason. Goku ends up having to go Super Saiyan 3 against Janempa to finish him off, but then Janempa turns into Janemba and that's when the real battle begins. This movie is pretty good for the most part, so you should definitely buy it.
What's great about it: Some Good Fighting Action From Goku
What's not so great: Hercule And Videl are in it

Bojack The Unstoppable
on February 18, 2008
Posted by: Giraffe
This movie is one of the two movies that have Tien, Yamcha and Chaozu in it. It starts out with a tournament that Gohan, Piccolo, Future Trunks, Tien, Yamcha and Krillin all fight in. Goku is at King Kai's planet during this movie. Actually this movie goes right along with the Anime, it takes place not too long after the Cell Games, less than 9 months since Goten isn't born yet and since Chi-Chi doesn't look like she's pregnant, she must be in the early months of pregnancy. Anyways, Bojack has four henchmen and they do a lot of fighting in this movie. What disappointed me the most was that Piccolo, Vegeta and Future Trunks kept going after Bojack, instead of his henchmen. If they would have just taken out his henchmen, then that would have made it easier, but at least Tien and Yamcha were smart enough to go after the henchmen instead of Bojack. Hercule was in this movie too much in my opinion; also what angers me most is that he ends up getting the credit for saving the day at the end of the movie. Well other than the fact that Hercule is in this movie, it's a pretty good movie, so you should definitely buy it.
What's great about it: Good Movie With a Good Big Fight
What's not so great: Hercule is in it

The Legendary Powerhouse

This is a great movie with a great big fight. If I were to put this story anywhere in DBZ, I would say that it would have taken place during the ten days before the Cell Games. Broly fights against Goku, Gohan, Trunks, Piccolo and Vegeta in this movie. Broly's legendary super saiyan form is much like the super saiyan form that Trunks was when he fought Cell in the Perfect Cell Saga. There are some good funny parts in this movie, I really laughed hard when Goku met up with Krillin on New Planet Vegeta. I also really like the part where Piccolo shows up and has a few words with Broly, Broly's response was priceless. This movie is a great one to watch over and over again. I really liked this movie and I'm sure that if you buy it, then after you watch it, you'll be really glad that you bought it because then you can watch it over and over again.

Bad Ending For Broly
on February 16, 2008
Posted by: Giraffe
Well the main characters in this movie are Goten, Kid Trunks, Android 18, Krillin, Hercule and Broly. For the entire time Broly fights, he looks like how he does on the cover of the movie. Now although none of the characters who fought Broly (listed above, but not Hercule) weren't able to beat him using their strength, they were able to beat him a different way, which is a very lame way for Broly to be defeated. Now I'm not a Broly fan boy, but I do think that Broly deserved better than this. I'm not really a fan of Goten and Kid Trunks, (they are the main characters in this movie) so unless you're a fan of theirs then this movie won't be too exciting. Also, I don't like Hercule what so ever, so it makes me kind of mad that he had to be in this movie and make it even worse than it already was. It was a decent movie, but I would seriously doubt that it is anyone's favorite. If it had Piccolo, Vegeta, Future Trunks, Goku or Gohan in it, then it would have been better because at least then Broly would have been defeated by someone worthy of defeating him. Just so you know, this is the last Broly movie, so buy it if you haven't seen it and who knows, you might actually like it a lot.
What's great about it: It's a DBZ movie
What's not so great: Hercule is in it

Good movie, but bad extras
on February 15, 2008
Posted by: Giraffe
Now I think that this was a really good movie, but one of the extras, which was the director commentary, was super boring. I couldn't even watch the whole director commentary because it made me so bored. Now usually I don't care about extras, but because they decided to put the most boring extra that I have ever seen on this movie, I just had to take a point of for that, or in this case a star. I bought this movie in April of 2006, but little did I know that they would later come out with a box set that has this exact same movie in it along with the second and third DBZ movies. I got the box set in December of 2006, but I'm not sure exactly when it came out. Now there are reasons why you should buy this movie instead of the box set because the other two movies in the box set have things about them that I don't like. For "The World's Strongest" movie, I really don't like the voice that the Funimation dub had for Dr. Wheelo, I like the voice that the Ocean dub had for him instead. In the "Tree Of Might" movie, there was a mess up in the dub where Goku says "Kaio-Ken times 20" when it should have been "Kaio-Ken times 10." So I suggest this movie over the first strike box set, since this movie has no mistakes and the first strike box set has things in it that need to be fixed.
What's great about it: First DBZ movie and it was a good one
What's not so great: Boring extras
