Quiet, powerful purifier

While both my wife and I suffer from allergies, my wife generally has a tougher time. This purifier will definitely help, it has already made an improvement in the air quality of our bedroom. The companion app is a great tool for not only monitoring the current air quality, but you can easily see what has been corrected by looking at the statistics from previous days. The added ability to create a constant stream of purified air is a major plus. At it's highest speed, it pushed a very large amount of air, but really the only noise that you hear is from the movement of the air itself. The noise the purifier makes itself is very minimal. And, if you're concerned with the noise produced, scheduling the purifier to change to a night mode (which limits its speed) keeps it whisper quiet, even when oscillating. Speaking of scheduling, which can all be controlled through the app, or included remote, setting the purifier to "Auto" removes the guess work out of when to run. This is a very easy to use purifier. My only concern is the potential maintenance cost of replacing the filters, though the seem like they'll last for a while.
If you're in the market for an air purifier, you can't go wrong with this one.

Great phone with powerful camera

The camera on this phone stands out first and foremost, especially with the super slow motion and the ability to record video at 4k with HDR. Very impressive in such a small package. The phone's performance is also very impressive. It has easily lasted all day. The screen is very nice, vibrant and crisp. I do wish that the phone had wireless charging, but the look, feel and features of this phone are easily worth a look if you're in the market for a smaller sized device. I was also pleasantly surprised by the weight of the phone. It's not heavy, but it has a nice weight that adds to the feel, giving a bit more of a premium feel.
Pros: Crisp, clear screen, great camera and battery life, very responsive and fast
Cons: No wireless charging. Plastic back doesn't feel quite as premium as other devices.

While this mouse pad is the perfect companion to a wirelessly charging mouse (like the Corsair Dark Core RGB SE), it would be great for anyone with a QI-capable device. A mouse pad with wireless charging is a great idea, but Corsair have some additional features that make this very cool. They include a USB 3 pass through port on the top of the pad. But, a great addition that some may overlook is the additional wireless charging adapter. You can plug this into your non-wireless charging device and set it on the mousepad. Very cool stuff.
Pros: great traction for mouse, wireless charging area, included adapters, USB 3 port pass through
Cons: the pad is fairly large, it requires two USB ports (though this is remedied with the inlufed pass through port)

This is probably the most customizable mouse I've ever used. The multiple assignable buttons, LED lighting and interchangeable thumb rest all add up to one of the best mice I've used. Pairing this with the MM1000 wireless charging mouse pad make a great combination. If I had any complaint, I wouldn't mind some added weight to the mouse.
You can customize this mouse down to the button and color of the LEDs. This may seem overwhelming at first, but for gamers, this is probably one of, if not the best mouse you can buy.
Pros: Extremely customizable buttons, LEDs, and quick switches between profiles

Easy to use

This brush is very easy to use and leaves my mouth feeling clean. It also had the ability to help you brush more efficiently. It will beep when you should switch to a new section of your teeth. It's not a loud annoying beep either, very subtle. My dentist also recommended I switch to a modern electric toothbrush, since I tend to press really hard when I brush. This helps me with that as well. It will pulse when I'm applying too much pressure. It is also much quieter than other electric toothbrushes I've heard in the past.
Pros: easy to use, quiet, pressure warning, audible sound when to switch teeth, nice charging stand
Cons: I wish it had come with some of the other brushes to try

This TV is very impressive, especially considering it's price point. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better value for this size with 4k. The TV is very easy to use, and has most of the features you'd expect from a modern smart TV. The only thing I do wish the TV had would be HDR. Though, at this price, it's hard to complain at the lack of HDR. The picture is nice, but there are times, namely when a person is in the shadows, their skin tones can seem a bit off. The built in apps work well, and it's convenient to have dedicated buttons for Netflix, Amazon, Vudu and YouTube.

Cons: No HDR, color seems off at times

A nice alternative

While you're not going to be able to do any hardcore gaming on this machine, it offers great features, though some things could still use refinement. If you're unfamiliar, the Chromebook runs Google's Chrome OS. While it's very lightweight, and performs very well, you may find yourself lacking a few things. Though, many of the productivity software you use can be used through the web, including Microsoft Office (provided you have a subscription). Battery life and speed are both pretty great. The hardware itself looks nice as well. The biggest con is the screen. It can be tough to find the right angle, and it isn't the highest resolution either. I wouldn't expect a top-of-the-line display for a laptop this, but the one it does have is fairly low quality.
Pros: speed, build quality, decent speakers, battery life
Cons: the screen viewing angle/resolution, no backlit keys

An Easy Way to Get Started with Home Automation

If you're new to the home automation market, this is an easy way to get yourself going. This kit includes all you need to automate some lighting tasks. Do simple things, like have your lights come on automatically at sunset, or shut them off at a specific time every night. You can even tie them into other devices like Google Home, or Alexa. Then, use your voice to control them. You assign lights to a "room" and can easily control groups of lights at a time. I like to create "scenes" for movies or games, that way it really enhances the mood of the movie. You can also use services like IFTTT (If this then that) to create cool tasks, for instance, being an Oklahoma City Thunder fan, I have a lighting scene set up for them. I set an IFTTT applet that sets my lights to that theme whenever a game starts. There are limitless possibilities with these lights.

I’m pretty impressed with this speaker. Looks and feels nice. It’s exterior has a nice soft-touch coating, with large volume up/down buttons. The audio quality is really impressive, and sounds good – even at high volumes. The Alexa voice controls are also very responsive, and seems to be able to pick up your voice very well. It’s also very easy to set up. The app walks you through the setup process, which is very quick and easy. I got a kick out of the funny phrases it had when it was updating. Add waterproof to the list, and you have a great Bluetooth speaker.

Cons: I do wish there was more support for other apps (like Spotify), though they mentioned it will be available shortly.

Listen to your playlist in peace with these Sony headphones. They have a 40mm dome driver to deliver the full depth of audio, and the noise cancelling feature minimizes outside disturbances for a better listening experience. These Sony headphones have a battery life of up to 30 hours for extended jam sessions.
Do these headphones have the same cracking problem that the last version had! I am planning to buy them soon and I want them to last for the price. Thank you.
I have yet to have any cracking problems with these. But, I have the previous model as well (the original 1000x) and haven't had any problems with them either. I use them daily and travel with them as well. I do keep them in the case when I'm not using them, could something have possibly happened to yours to cause them to crack? If you haven't already, it may be worth contacting Sony. These are a premium set of headphones, and they have lived up to that with me.

This would be an excellent laptop for traveling with it's light weight and thin profile. It would easily handle Netflix and other office-like activities, including Photoshop and mid-level video editing. As far as the gaming goes, it depends on which games you intend to play. It probably will be hit and miss with newer titles, but less-demanding games should work. As an example: I was able to get Killer Instinct to run with playable performance. To do so, I had to drop the resolution and other effects to their minimum. Not bad at all. As a tip, if you do get this laptop and are pushing it's limits for gaming, you may want to make sure and set it's power options to "Maximum Performance". That way it won't throttle it's performance to extend battery life, and instead let it perform at it's maximum. :)

can you access hbogo from this device?
There isn't a standalone app in the Windows store for HBO GO yet. However, you can run it from within the desktop version of Internet Explorer. I've done this several times while using the HDMI adapter to view on my TV.

Can you right click?
I use web based software for my HVAC controls and need a simple way to right click. I would prefer to not connect an external mouse. does the surface work this way?
The included stylus with the Surface Pro does allow for a right-click. You can either use the button on the pen, or do a long-press with the pen tip. I believe this will also work with your finger, but if you're using a desktop application, you may need the precision of the stylus.
