Best features of Mario Kart series in one package
on April 30, 2017
Posted by: GamerBaggins
Even though this initially seems like just a re-release of Mario Kart 8, or at best a game of the year edition since it includes all previously released DLC on Wii U, this is rather much more.
Having played and completed every single Mario Kart released, this one has the best features of all games, and combines them in Mario Kart 8 as a base.
Holding one item and keeping another in item slot is back, and so is Battle Mode. Multiple modes are feature in Battle (8 arena maps), and all addicting and fun to play online or with friends over splitcreen and even with multiple Nintendo Switches together. Racing is as solid as ever, featuring all tracks (48 tracks total for racing), including DLC ones from Mario Kart 8.
Screen resolution is now 1080p in TV mode, with perfect fluid 60 frames per second when playing from 1 to 2 players, and a solid 30 frames when playing 4 in splitcreen.
Game is excellent for hard core fans of the series since it features best item combinations and mechanics, and features optional steering and acceleration assists for those still learning the mechanics.

Safety and peace of mind for new portable device
on April 2, 2017

Given Nintendo Switch is a new and expansive product that can be used on the go, the 50 dollar price for 2 years of accidental coverage seems reasonable.
Guaranteed to cover issues and accidents, I feel safer to use the new portable console as intended.

Biggest exploration game yet
on April 2, 2017
Posted by: GamerBaggins
I have played almost all Legend of Zelda games. Love them all.
Have played No Man's Sky, Final Fantasy (9 and 15) and many other open world free roaming exploration games.
This may not be in scale sizing the largest, but it feels like the largest and most well planned exploration adventure game yet. Every corner of its massive open world Hyrule is filled with puzzles, intelligent enemies, and collectibles. There is always something to do. And the "to dos" don't feel like chores. They are interesting and engaging. Topping it all, the given tools make exploration and puzzle solving intuitive and responsive.
Story is as great as any other Zelda title. But now even more engaging due to voice acting finally implemented to cutscenes. There is still reading to do out of cutscenes though.
Visually more beautiful than ever, both in tv and portable mode. No more framerate issues due to latest update as of March 31st 2017.
This game feels like the culmination not only of Legend of Zelda series, but of its genre. It borrows the best elements of Monster Hunter, Witcher, Minecraft, and even Spliter Cell's stealth, to create what is currently the best video game I have played in 20 years.

Choose this Nintendo Switch console to play favorite games anywhere with one system. It replaces both home and portable components for a seamless experience, docking with your television or standing alone on a tabletop for outdoor action on its 6.2-inch screen. This Nintendo Switch console includes the Joy-Con detachable controller and can link with other units for multiplayer adventures.

Possibly Nintendo's best console yet
on April 2, 2017
Posted by: GamerBaggins
Early to tell as console is out for just a month. Based on what it is now, future of console is very promising. I own a wii u, 3ds, ps4, ps3, ps vita, and xbox one. This console is not a powerful as the competition's latest consoles, but it is powerful. Playing Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild in it in HD both in my tv, and then portable on the go is incredible.
All console functions (so far no actual streaming of media playback, focus only on video games) are fast and snappy.
Battery life has been averaging 3 and half hours with WIFI on.
Controllers and actual console are light and comfortable. Tested and couldn't reproduce the issue many complained of losing joycon signal when far from console. Had same responsiveness as any of my other consoles' controllers.
Recognized my micro sd card instantly and formatted automatically to start using right away.
No hassles in setting up WIFI, fast download speeds, fast to boot up and play. Very interesting contrast to xbox one and ps4 where games take 1 hour to install and then more to update. This one just requires to put in small game cartridge and start playing. If update is required, it is done in less than 5 minutes.
More games and online features testing are pending. So far it is a great start for what may be the best console of this generation.
