Wolf Parade has a great sounds that remains fairly unique in the indie world. It sounds like a little bit of everything but not like anything in particular.
It's a great album for those who love indie pop music a little more on the experimental side, but they never sacrifice a good melody for something inventive.
Favorite Tracks: "Language City," "California Dreamer," "Kissing the Beehive"
Fans and critics will be divided on this album, I'm sure. It's too different for some, not different enough for others, etc. I've been a fan of Coldplay in the past, and I think this is their strongest album yet.
The music is well-produced and the melodies are incredible. The variety of instruments used on the album provide a variety of sounds but never distract from the whole. Quite a few people have commented on there being only 10 tracks, but the album is still 46 minutes long, any more might have been excess.
The point is, this album rocks, and everyone should hear it.
Favorite Tracks: "Viva La Vida," "Death and All His Friends," and "Lovers in Japan"
What's great about it: A great mix of old styles and new experiments
What's not so great: None for me, will be hard for some fans to get used to
