Superior to the 1st, way better 3d

This was in my opinion, better than the first as far as visual, directing and plot. The 3d was immersive, even for a conversion, this was top notch. Lots of great depth and quite a few pop outs. The plot was better, not academy award winning, but good enough for a popcorn movie. The characters played their parts great throughout the movie and the each held there own to carry the movie. The best part was climatic battle scene which left me in awe and should be seen in awesome 3d.

The best kinect game so far, by far.

I don't really purchase too many games, I buy one and I play it till I finish it, I received the Kinect last year as a gift and although it is great system, I felt the games were lacking gameplay, not all but most. Not anymore, Star Wars has paved the way for future gaming. This game just blows me away, my son (3yrs old) can play this too, which amazes me. The game play can be challenging, but the concept is easy, mastering it is another thing. So far I'm in the first Story line and I've already learned how to use the force, swing my lightsaber, ride a speed racer, and manned a gunner and this is only in the first 30 minutes of play. Graphics and sound are great! The music is awesome and it really gets you into the storyline. The only thing that could make this game better would be a real lightsaber made for the game that would vibrate in different variations when you hit something. Pair that up with a glove that vibrates when you use the force and you got an epic franchise Lucas!

Longtime since a movie scared me like this one.

I went to see this in the theater, not sure what to expect. But the reviews were pretty good and I thought I'd take a chance even though I didn't like Paranormal Activity, which was made by the same guys who made Insidious. I didn't think Paranormal Activity was scary at all, in fact, it just planed sucked in my opinion! But this one made up for that loss of money. It truly is scary, but in an old fashioned kind of way. The movie doesn't use computer generated special effects or gore to scare you. It has somewhat of an 80's feel to it, including the music. It goes to show you that sometimes a good plot, prefect scare tactics and timing is all you really need to get a scary movie right. I haven't been scared like this since I was 13. I'm now 35, so it takes a lot to get me scared. This one is a winner and will be part of my blu-ray collection.
What's great about it: Scary music and scenes, plot.

A must own for Sci Fi lovers and great acting!

This movie is one the best Sci Fi's I've seen in years. The story, acting, directing and cinematagraphy is wonderful. The story really builds up and doesn't let go. There's one scene that is shot continuously for at least five minutes during a chase/shooting scene. It really is amazing. Blu-ray really looks good and the sound is nice. A must have.

Clever story and original to some extent

Splice was not a horror/gore fest, at least not for about 75% of the movie. But the story was compelling and you really start to care about the characters. This movie reminded me of the Frankenstein story with a serious twist. The creator and monster part at least. People were also comparing it to Species, though I thought that movie was average. This movie is far superior than Species. The acting is better, the story is better and the dialogue were great. The message behind the movie was also good, i.e. Don't mess with mother nature. Special effects were excellent and the movie looks beautiful on Blu-ray. If you like mysteries/sci-fi, this one is a winner.
What's great about it: Story, acting, special effects, picture quality
What's not so great: Nada
