My Ear Force X12 sound better. If you turn up the game volume the chat level goes down. I keep hearing static and popping noises. Called Turtle Beach that was a waste of time. I'm taking them back today and buying the adapter to use my X12's. Called Microsoft "we made the game not the headset, call turtle beach"
What's great about it: Sound for music / phone chat
What's not so great: Game sound control
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not The Router

I got the Linksys EA6500 and my speed is 30mbps. I did not take them back someone told me to wait for a update. I wish the game volume was higher. Every time I turn up game volume the chat volume goes down. The headphones sound excellent with music and phone calls.

Outstanding comfort and incredible sound: It's the Turtle Beach Elite Pro gaming headset. The ComfortTech system gives you complete control over how it fits for a virtually custom design that conforms to your head all day long. Experience powerful 50mm speakers, an awesome microphone and a precision audio controller for e-gaming excellence from this Turtle Beach Elite Pro gaming headset.

Not worth the money
By Polo
I'm on my 2nd pair. Straight out the box the sound is terrible. I had to purchase a elite pro tactical audio adapter from Turtle Beach because Best Buy only offered the amp. I was told by several people I should have purchased the Astros A40 or A50. The overall sound is decent but the old Turtle Beach (DX11 &DX12) sound better. I think for $199 the headsets should have came with the elite pro tactical adapter or amp.

3rd and final pair
May 14, 2017
This is my 3rd headset. The orange rings by the ear pads keep breaking. Which makes the the headset too loose. Going to take bake and see if I can exchange for the Astro A40 or A50. Turtle Beach need to redesign these headsets. I trusted the youtube videos and reviews. The headsets are okay but after 3 weeks things start to break and get loose.
