If you get into no-holds-barred guitar work, you will love this concert DVD. Steve Vai pushes himself as well as his band to take rock and roll to an ultra-high level. Some may be fatigued by the extensive guitar solos (often at the end of the songs), but you can't help but be blown away by the band's commitment to musical excellence.
The filming gives a great "live" feel. Very energetic. Close-ups are done with great timing. Interviews on Disc 2 are insightful and really funny at times. And, of course, there is Steve and his multi-faceted personality.
This concert is for the serious rock fan who can also enjoy the near limitless possibilities that rock and roll offers - classical, jazz, R & B, Soul, you name it - Vai and his band can do it.
What's great about it: Ann Marie Calhoun - You WILL fall in love with her
What's not so great: Can be "too" overwhelming at times. It's not for the faint of heart!
Make the most of your sound with this A/V receiver, which features 19 DSP soundfields and multiple surround sound encoders for an intense soundscape.

I got this unit for only $449.00!! I returned the STR-DG520 with no regrets. OUTSTANDING power and sound. When my neighbors are gone, I'm going to find out just how loud this thing gets!! The GUI feature is awesome. FOUR HDMI inputs make this unit a great value. Yamaha's comparable unit has only TWO. Linear PCM, Dolby True HD, DTS-Master Audio are great features. However, you MUST take your time with the instructions and learning how to use the unit. Once you master the programming, you will love it. The REMOTE is much more user friendly than Denon's and Pioneer's. It seems that Sony is discontinuing this model. Perhaps it was too good for the price they were asking.....
What's great about it: Power, HDMI Inputs, GUI, Remote Control, the SOUND
