Out of Print Vinyl reissued!
on May 7, 2014

Meteora is the second original album from Linkin Park. It feels like a continuation from their first album Hybrid Theory. While Meteroa isn't quite as original as Hybrid Theory, it still holds its own. It is rock/rap but with electronica and harmonies to give it a pop feel. Every track is worth listening to which why this vinyl is a great buy. The album sounds better on vinyl than cd and it is superb enough to play on a turntable without skipping tracks as one may feel inclined to do on cd. The original vinyl went out of print, but Best Buy has it reissued again and for an awesome price! I love it!

Elfman & Burton expanded scores with liner BOOK!
on September 7, 2013

The description Best Buy has is very informative. It has all the CD titles in order and also has the song length as well. The final disc is the DVD which is about an hour long and contains a conversation between Danny Elfman and Tim Burton. If you are a fan of expanded scores then you will love this set. Many of these scores have been released before individually on different labels and some actually had additional music that is not included here. However, many of those scores are sold out, out of production or do not have some of the music found on this sent. There have been multiple releases of the Nightmare Before Christmas but none with the elves singing during "What's This?" which is included here. PeeWee's Big Adventure has never been expanded before and now we have it complete. Beetlejuice is also expanded with many pieces of music from the film we are hearing for the first time on disc. The soundtrack to Big Fish cut much of the score to add songs featured in the film. It is all put back here. The set is not totally complete with every single note of music as heard in the film, but it is as close as it gets. For example, I have the expanded 2 CD Batman Returns soundtrack which as some tracks not included here (the "Super Freak" jazz version which was not composed by Elfman) and some pieces of music which are placed together as one long track ("Birth of the Penguin/Main Title") where as they are separated into two tracks on this set. Music aside, there is also a large book called 'Danse Macabre" which is basically the largest liner notes I have ever seen. It has a history of Elfman and Burton, talks about their life before they met and even films they did without each other. It also has a zeotrope with images of Elfman doing funny things with his head and face and others of some artwork. The box itself has a music chip when pressed plays a music box charm suite of some of the themes from the movies. All the music is put on a USB in the shape of a skull which contains even more bonus music not listed here on the Best Buy description, such as the music box suite heard in the chip on top of the box. It is overall a very large box and looks beautiful on a table or shelf. The box has images of the band from Nightmare Before Christmas all around it sides along with the names of all the films imprinted on the panels. Some argue the price is so expensive and I have to admit it does seem like a luxury item. It will put a major dent in your wallet or purse. The price is cheaper here than other major websites and you get free shipping. I have bought many items and had a total case of "buyer's remorse" but I admit, not with this one. Once I opened it up and displayed it I almost came to tears. It is amazing and I could tell there was so much effort put into this. I am sure you will be overjoyed to own this. Plus, if you are Best Buy rewards member you can get major points value for this. I will love this treasure forever and can't wait for the the next 25 years of music and film from Danny Elfman and Tim Burton.
What's great about it: Music, DVD, liner book, zoetrope, usb, box art, letters, more!
What's not so great: If your a fan, there is nothing bad to say at all.

Best basic TV out there for price.
on January 20, 2013

I have a 50 inch Panasonic plasma TV in my living room (also bought at Best Buy) which I love. But I wanted a smaller TV for my bedroom. I am on a budget and did not want to spend to much money. First of all, I was not looking for a TV with a whole bunch of features. All I wanted was a basic TV that will display my DirecTV and Blu-rays before I go to bed. I love the plasma display but it is near impossible to find a 1080p plasma under 40 inches and then they are around the same price as a 50 inch one. So I went with a cheap lcd display. I know Viore is a weaker brand but I got the TV on sale for $300.00 (and I've seen it go as low as $280.00 on special deals here at Best Buy). This is model LC37VF80 which is just a basic simple TV with no features. That is just what I was looking for. So far it has shown me my football games and Blu-ray movies just fine with no issues or problems. The speaker is front facing which I love. The TV looks beautiful too, not box shaped or dull but a nice shiny black with some curves. Again, it is just a basic TV and if that is what your looking for and at a low cost, then this is a geat deal. Plus, Best Buy will have a low price promise on this TV. All I can say is the truth with my purchase. I bought one Viore TV before ( the out of stock LC37VF60CN only available at one retailer [google it] for the same price) and I returned it. That TV was pretty much a clone of this one but with apps that, according to customer reviews, didn't always work. That's why I went with this model and I am very thrilled I have.

Awesome Score! Fast yet Calm!

This soundtrack completely defines the movie. It can be very severe yet so sad and emotional. Brad Fiedel composed the first Terminator as well, but adds more emphasis with the sequel. This is the second time this has been released on CD, and there are some scores missing from the movie. The scene where the T-1000 is driving the semi-trailer chasing John Connor on the motor bike has some intense music, but has never been released. To bad it wasn't on here. You will still get an awesome soundtrack that comes with an insert that has much detail on the film and composer, where as most soundtracks have nothing but production credits. Very thrilled to have a piece of history. The main titles and the last track are just beautiful works of art!
What's great about it: The Main Title and the last song.
What's not so great: Missing some scenes!

This Blu-Ray contains all three Jurassic Park films PLUS a digital copy of each film! This box set also contains a replica model of the T-Rex bursting through the "Jurassic Park" entrance gate. The films have all original special features plus a new feature with an update with the cast a crew and how the films have impacted everyone so much. It is really awesome and any Jurassic Park fan will be thrilled to have this. I saw this in the theatres when I was 13 years old and it is just as exciting to watch again now! Thank you!

WONDERFUL SCORE! BEAUTIFUL!

Rio is a animated film about a bird that was taken from his home in Brazil and grew up in America, but never learned to fly. It takes place back in Rio as he tries to find his way back home. This is not the soundtrack that has songs by recording artist, but the film SCORE. It is the backround music during the movie. It is very moving and amazing. Not only does it contain sounds that take you to Rio, but offers musical emotions for the characters, the settings, and the drama during the film. Film scores are getting harder to find on CD so I would recommand purchasing this item for it could become a collectors item. They are not in production very long and end up being available as a download only. This is an awesome score and I am so happy to own a copy. I'm sure you will too.
What's great about it: THE PASSION! THE JOY! THE SOUNDS! THE MAGIC!
What's not so great: NOTHING! PERFECT ART! NO NEGATIVE AT ALL!

WONDERFUL SOUNDS OF RIO!
on May 22, 2011

from Santa Rosa, CA
The movie Rio is an amazing animated film about an exotic bird (a macaw) that is taken from his home in Rio and raised in captivity. It is the last of its kind and poachers are trying to steal him while a scientist is trying to breed him with the last female. Most of the setting takes place in Rio and much of the music is from the surrounding culture and people. Artist such as Jaime Foxx and Will.i.Am voice characters in the film while also singing some of the songs. Some of the other songs feature the language of the country and the sounds and beats of Rio, but a bit more modern. Anne Hathaway who voices the lead female character Jewel also shows her singing talents and performs beautifully on a few tracks. Overall, this is an amazing collection of music that helps make the movie become such a wonderful film and gives you the feel of being in Rio.
What's great about it: MAGICAL! EMOTIONAL! BEAUTIFUL! UPLIFTING! AMAZING!
What's not so great: NOTHING NEGATIVE AT ALL!

Just how many hungry dinosaurs on the loose can one person stand? Prepare to find out with this special, limited-edition box set, which combines a digitally remastered edition of Steven Spielberg's sci-fi blockbuster about prehistoric creatures come back to life, Jurassic Park, with a similarly upgraded version of Spielberg's sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park. If that's not enough, viewers get two bonus videos on the production of the films, showing how the remarkably lifelike dinosaurs were created, as well as a special senitype, a deluxe presentation box, and a certificate of authenticity. Sorry, but there's no helpful advice on what to do if a bloodthirsty dinosaur created through cloning technology thinks you look like an hors d'oeuvre.

This collection is so awesome! It gives you both movies part 1 & 2 with both original scores to each film. There are production photos and movie still photos. These are by far the best "monster" flick movies ever made and the music is amazing. Beautiful movie making in every way. A masterpiece and this collection is better than any Jurassic Park box set out there. I remember this was $120.00 at the store and I bought one here for $60.00! A great price from a great store! 100% excitement!!!!
What's great about it: Dinosaurs, DVDs, CDs, Photos, and lots more!

Beautiful, Amazing, Perfect!

I am a huge collector of motion picture scores. Some of my all time favorite classics are Star Wars, The Untouchables, and Conan the Barbarian. Some of my recent favorites are Spider Man, Batman Begins, and Pan's Labyrinth. I have a massive collection of over a 100 scores from Indepenence Day to Baby, to Secret of the Lost Legend. This Transformers score hits my top 10. As soon as I saw the movie during the midnight showing I fell in love with the music. There is no way the movie, which was incredible, could have been as successful without this wonderful piece of art by Steve Jablonsky. He lets us feel what the characters are going through during every scene. One track in particular that gives a tear felt emotion is "Bumblebee Captured". "Arrival to Earth" is a breathtaking track the makes us feel as we are there watching the Autobots land on Earth. You will not be disappointed with this album. I can't wait for fiture projects by Mr. Jablonsky and the sequel to Transformers! Thank you!
What's great about it: Has all the emotions: triumph, loss, passion!
