Not A Bad Deal

Well, what we have here is a rare cut and dry description. It's the ending to a great series and brings a sense of closure (i.e. no cliffhanger endings)... The only downside's to this set are 1. not enough episodes in the volume. 2. This was made before George Newbern took on the role of Superman and while Timothy Daly does a good job he's just not quite as good as Newbern... But other than that this is all-in-all a good set... disc one even has a behind the scenes interview with the shows creators telling what they think about the final episodes. Plus, as with all the DC animated releases this DVD contain creator commentary on a few episodes... (Which if you're like me. You'll LOVE)... So yes if you're a fan of this series then it's a definite buy!
What's great about it: Good Storylines, Show's a "darker" side of Superman
What's not so great: Really not enough episodes in the set
I would recommend this to a friend!

not the best but still good

Well here we are... the final season of one of the greatest animated series' of all time... I was sad to see it go but on the bright side they did crank out some really good episodes before the series ended...this set includes my second favorite "funny" episode "the great brain robbery" and all-in-all this is a good set the downside though is that it doesn't quite measure up to the previous seasons... in the JLU season one box-set you got a deep involving storyline about government conspiracies, love, and a lot more... But even though it's not the bombshell that the rest of the seasons were it's still a solid set... If you're only going to get one set though I'd recommend one of the others but if you're a collector like me then you'll more-than-likely be very happy with it.
What's great about it: you finally get to see the legion of doom
What's not so great: not enough batman, it's a bit too short, and the final fight is kind of anti-climactic

Package Description: So Many Heroes. So Much Power. Too much power, some think. From their Watchtower in space, the Justice League - Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lanter and J'onn J'onzz - floats above Earth, with countless new members including Green Arrow, Supergirl and Black Canary. Their combined powers are awesome. And although these DC Super Heroes fight crime, eradicate evil and save the world over and over again, a conspiracy against them is growing. Led by the government, funded by Lex Luthor and fueled by a hidden enemy, Cadmus is born. The mission: to take down the Justice League. It's 26 episodes of action, intrigue and excitement in a 4-disc collection that and DC Super Heroes fan should own! Plus, don't miss the shocking Epilogue that reveals the legacy of Batman!

Definitly Worth It

As soon as you put in that first disc and hear the opening theme you'll be psyched!! especially if you're a long-time fan of the series who's been watching it since there were just seven heroes in the mix (like me).but even if you weren't lucky enough to catch it back then you'll still love this box-set. it features commentary on two key episodes plus the special feature "and justice for all" in which the creators talk about the process of revamping the series with new heroes. and on disc four you can listen to some of your favorite JLU audio tracks from the season. And the price tag on this baby is pretty sweet as well. I mean come on! 14.99 for 26 episodes? it's a steal!! plus my personal favorite episode of the season "epilogue" which reveals the legacy of batman from past to present. And you can be sure that anything Bruce Timm is involved in making is going to be quality work. So whether you're a young kid just getting into the series, a teen who still finds the story lines deep and enticing, or an adult who wants something to watch with your kids or even by yourself. you'll find this set to be a worth-wile investment, and a welcome addition to you collection.
What's great about it: Bruce Timm producing, Kevin Conroy as batman, Great storylines and character development, etc.
What's not so great: None that I can think of
