A colossal failure of writers, directors, cast
on November 25, 2016

I remained skeptically hopeful about the movie until I saw it, despite the public outcry before the movie came out. It was an abysmal failure.
This could have been great, where the team was the daughters of the original team or somehow related or even a pass the torch to the new hires. Instead of ghost busters trapping and storing the ghosts, they shoot them with guns? and that whole gun licking thing... was that supposed to be sexy or show a love of guns, blech.
The most non nonsensical was adding a dance number where the main ghost can for some reason mind control everyone but the four women GBs with no explanation.
And the sexist and reverse sexist and racial stereotype jokes were not funny they were offensive. i.e. "the power of patty compels you" and the exorcist thing was one of the worst and Chris Hemsworth showing the women all he can propose for logos are big boobs was sexist and pathetic.
Paul Feig should get out of the movie business, he's done.
The female cast may work again or it may kill their careers too, they can be funny, but not in these roles.
The worst thing the movie did... was attack its fans and call anyone that disagreed with the movie misogynists and racists when they were just as bad, yet trying to claim they were PC. I have blu-rays of the original 2 movies and will watch them over and over, but never this drivel.

Worst FF movie ever
on January 24, 2016

This movie is plagued with problems. The director wanted to make Chronicle 2. which could have been good. instead he re-imagined the FF and took it down a horrible path, the story takes so long to get started and then ends with such a quick ending you question if it was really over. The director hated the female lead so much that she doens't even get her powers directly by going to the other side, she gets them like an infection. Poor choices in the director and the lame acting of the cast make this the worst FF movie ever, it is not worth watching and definitely not worth owning Fant4stic. the director is so bad he got kicked off the Star Wars film he was going to direct. the last 2 FF movie were way better, they really felt like a family, this quad group feels like a bunch of people forced together, there is no camaraderie and nothing worth salvaging.

Great monitor - considering buying for home PC too
on June 10, 2014

In looking for a new monitor I came across this Dell monitor. I've read some issues with revision A00, which has a known possible yellow tint issue, however I received the A01 which was manufactured in May 2014 so Best Buy has the good version... no yellow tint at all and it is quite bright. (BTW this is written in simple text on the outside of the box, so no need to open if it was A00)
Surprisingly it comes with a VGA cable, an HDMI cable and a USB PC to Hub (since it has that capability) inside the box. Most manufacturers only supply power and VGA, aka the minimum. Supplying all 3 was really top notch.
The Stand is quite a nice design, it snap/locks into place without needing any screws and comes with an easily accessible release button should i need to separate the stand from the monitor to re-box for travel. Speaking of the box, it was a robust box that kept it well protected during shipping with extra space unlike other monitors from other manufacturers that used as little space as possible which left protection lacking, not in this one.
I was able to plug it into my laptop dock and it worked right out of the gate, no complicated setup like I had to do with a Samsung. No drivers to install.
It has multiple modes for coloring... Standard, Multimedia, Movie, Game, Text and then allows changing the color temp and custom coloring. Awesome. It is very easy to change to any option.
As I am using this for code development, being able to go vertical will be a useful option and was easy to get in and out of.
At this point I am now debating whether to buy another one for my home desktop gaming PC, and possibly another for my work laptop, I currently do the extended desktop with the laptop screen but if i had two of these, it just might be too awesome, so much so that I'd hate to go into the office since I wouldn't have these there.

Excellent router with extended range and dual band
on June 2, 2014

I use it in...:Small home
I have used Linksys for years and the new model does not disappoint. My last one was in use for over 6 years, I only decided to replace it because with age comes less security and newer WiFi standards that my laptop, tablet, media and game systems have I was being held back.
The only confusing thing was that you do need to use the on at least one PC to configure it. It explains this in the quick start guide, sort of, it misses the most important step in the software walkthrough. It tells you to hook the router up to the cable modem, plug it in, and then run the software. I was doing this from my desktop, which is not WiFI, it doesn't tell you to plug a cable from the router to the PC. To me this was an obvious oversight, but to a less experienced person, this could make them think it doesn't work and return it.
Once up and running all my other gear had a nice boost in speed, My wife was sure that facebook games loaded faster and ran the true test with a video streaming service as her laptop was able to see a higher quality connection downstairs on the other side of the house and also it was using the 5GHz signal, it was definitely faster, which is another reason to upgrade as she'll be taking some online courses and need high bandwidth video streaming over WiFi.
I'm loving that it says it can be configured to automatically update it's firmware to keep me more secure and the amount of features in the setup pages are very nice to have. I do't think i'll use the USB port to attach a network drive, but i might in the future, it's nice to have.
I also love the aesthetics, flat with curved edges and no visible antennas to be knocked and disrupt my signal. the only thing I miss is I would prefer the connection lights on the front, not the back where the cables go in, but I can deal with this.
I did take the internet forum recommendation and disabled WMM which tries to prioritize media traffic, which could slow it down, but since i'm not really concerned with that prioritization I turned it off.

Bad design, especially the power button.

I thought I found my dream monitor, I was wrong. I am returning it. I have had many Samsung monitors and TV and loved them all until this one.
It was relatively easy to put together the stand and plug in.
But a bad design on the plug inputs... the plugs go straight in perpendicular to the back, instead of being plugged from underneath, as a result if you are against a wall (it has no VESA mounting), but if your desk is tight, it will cause you to not have it as flush as you'd like. But also wires protruding like this and dropping to the outlet and PC on the floor will tend to pull on the cords which will pull on the connectors in the monitor causing stress on the connector and would lead, in my opinion, to weakening of those parts and leading to failure at some point down the road.
First usability, issue is that when i first attached to my desktop PC, the full screen was not being used fully. not only was there a black border around the image, the text was not as clear as it should be. I determined that the ATI catalyst driver needed to have it's default scaling setting adjusted from 15% shrink to 0%. that is possibly the monitor telling the PC to set it this way. Unsure whose fault, but a fully resolvable issue as the border was gone and the text was clearer.
As a side note, 24x7 support at Samsung was nice, opened a live chat at 11:30 on a Friday night :) He was somewhat helpful but I had already tried most of the suggestions. the one thig I didn't try until this session was to plug in the monitor to another PC. I did and it did not have the issue. unfortunately that was a laptop and the HDMI was only on the laptop, not the docking station and I will NOT plug in and unplug an HDMI every day, then i found the setting in the ATI driver myself.
Second usability, attempting to use it, as a result of the above issue I was well versed in the menu system of the monitor, which is were both the game mode and the power on/off is. They tried to be fancy with it but over-complicated it to the extreme.
As a gamer myself, what do I want to do for this game mode. Hit one button, or flip one switch to enter gamer mode and exit it or have an application be game aware the when it detects x or y game launches flip into a game mode. Guess again: The power button, menu control, game mode is all based on a single directional "game-pad-ey" switch on the lower back right corner.
Picture this. I'm sitting back in my chair ready to rock and now I have
1. To sit up
2. Reach forward across the desk doing the gorilla arm thing.
3. Feel for the button thing in the back.
4. Press it in once to click it so that the menu displays on the monitor.
5. Now I have to shift it to the right to move the menu cursor over to the game icon.
6. Click again to select game mode
7. Then let it return to center
8. Click again to get rid of the menu.
Talk about a hassle, and now to get it out of that mode, do the same thing. This is so not gamer friendly, give me a single click easily hit-able button on the side or front to toggle it, or the aforementioned app in windows to do it for me.
Now about turning it off, someone must have gone to the Microsoft 8.0 design school for how to turn it off... the steps are similar to above.
1. To sit up
2. Reach forward across the desk doing the gorilla arm thing.
3. Feel for the button thing in the back.
4. Press it in once to click it so that the menu displays on the monitor.
5. Now I have to shift it to the right to move the menu cursor over to the power icon.
6. Click again to select Power off.
7. Then let it return to center
Some people turn of the computer which will either turn off the monitor if they have a "smart UPS" or "smart power-strip", or put it into power saver mode. But there are others of us that never turn off the computer, my PC is running constantly and I do not want the monitor drawing power while I'm away to work, downstairs for dinner, out with friends or trying to sleep, this is a major production. Trying to sleep while the PC goes into screensaver mode casts a lot of light and makes sleeping impossible, so I want to shut off the monitor at least 3 times a day. Give me a one touch power off like my Samsung Syncmaster 2493hm. or my older 22 inch with a real button.

What's not so great: Quite a few usability design flaws, see below.

You get what you pay for...

Hannspree Monitors look great & are priced to sell. I've owned 2 so far. I do web development so they get alot of use. After about 2 years they both went dark. Screen just goes black. Not much you can do about it unless you have the extended warranty. Of course any monitor priced this cheap is not going to last. I suppose 2 years for $249 is not that bad but I've had Apple monitors that have lasted more than twice as long. Of course, they are twice the price. So if you're low on cash and need a monitor fast, I guess its ok. Just keep your receipt and don't be surprised when the screen goes black.

Is this monitor wall mountable?

It is not wall mountable. It does not have VESA support, no holes for mounting. The only way it's mountable is putting it on a shelf.
