I BOUGHT THESE SPEAKERS FOR MY PORTABLE DVD PLAYER. THE SOUND IS GREAT EVEN WHEN TURNED ALL THE WAY UP. THEY ARE NEARLY AS LOUD AS MY HOME STEREO UNIT. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE AND RECOMMEND THEM TO ANY ONE LOOKING FOR PORTABLE SPEAKERS. ANOTHER GREAT PRODUCT FROM BOSE.

Package Description: Four score and seven years ago... sorry, wrong address. The Water Tower c/o Warner Bros. Studios: That's the address, the place where studio honchos try to contain Yakko, Wakko and Dot. and fortunately cannot. Animaniacs are on the loose, running rampant at the studio (and 'round the globe), taking the Warner tradition of anything-goes animation and going further. Who helps Beethoven, Einstein and Lincoln in their brain-locked hours of need? Who unleashes a steady stream of film sendups, cultural spoofs and gags? Who puts the bop in the bop-shoo-bop? Well, two out of three isn't bad, and making things even better in Season 1 are friends who are fiendish (Pinky and the Brain), feathered (the Good Feathers), furred (Rita and Runt) and frazzled (Slappy the Squirrel). Grab your remotes, maniacs. And Helloooo, Nurse!

Hollywood's Vista Series DVD of Tombstone is a double-disc set packed with special features for fans of this story about Wyatt Earp and his time in the Arizona mining town, including the legendary gunfight at the O.K. Corral. The film stars Kurt Russell as Earp and Val Kilmer as the tubercular Doc Holliday. The DVDs come packaged in an attractive box that resembles an aged piece of parchment. The first disc contains a 2.35:1 widescreen version of the film enhanced for 16 x 9 televisions with a booming DTS 5.1, Dolby Digital Surround, THX certified soundtrack. It also contains an audio commentary by director George P. Cosmatos. Special features on disc two include a making-of documentary; a "Tombstone Timeline" that places events in chronological perspective; a storyboard sequence; a copy of the original front page of the town newspaper, the Tombstone Epitaph, on the day after the gunfight; several DVD-ROM features; theatrical trailers; TV commercials; and a booklet. There's even a collectible paper map of the gunfight as illustrated in Earp's own hand. Hollywood has hit a bullseye with this DVD set.

Directed by Nick Cassavetes, this adaptation of author Nicholas Sparks' bestselling novel revolves around Noah Calhoun's (James Garner) regular visits to a female patron (Gena Rowlands) of an area nursing home. Rather than bore her with the inanities of everyday life, Calhoun reads from an old, faded notebook containing the sweeping account of a young couple (Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams) whose love affair was tragically put to a halt after their separation in the midst of World War II. Seven years later, the couple was reunited, and, despite having taken radically different paths, they found themselves unable to resist the call of a second chance. The Notebook also features Joan Allen, Sam Shepard, and Kevin Connolly.

Disc 2 celebrates animation legend Frank Tashlin, who brought a filmmaker's eye for angles, editing and style to his creations. Disc 3 zips along pronto with fast-acting Speedy Gonzales. And cats may have 9 lives... but they also have 15 cartoons in Disc 4's battle of feline follies. The fur's gonna fly. Go four it, 'toonsters!
