Adam Sandler's Big Daddy comes to DVD with a pair of images. The widescreen transfer preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1 and is preferable to the standard full-frame 1.33:1 image. Closed-captioned English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround. English subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a "making of" featurette that aired originally on HBO, talent files, original theatrical trailers, bonus trailers, and music videos from Garbage and Sheryl Crow. Fans of Sandler will not be disappointed with this disc.

Adam Sandler's first foray into animated moviemaking gets a deluxe presentation for its release on DVD. Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights has been given two transfers for this release -- one letterboxed in its original widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1 (which has also been enhanced for anamorphic playback on 16 x 9 monitors), and another pan-and-scanned at the full-frame ratio of 1.33:1. Viewers have a choice of the film's original English-language soundtrack in Dolby Digital 5.1, or a dubbed French track in Dolby Digital Surround; the disc also features optional subtitles in English and French. This edition features a bevy of bonus features, including a commentary track in which the cast and crew discuss the film; a music video for Sandler's "Chanukah Song, Part 3," a look at a day in the life of Meatball, Sandler's dog; an NBA: Love It Live television spot featuring Sandler; an HBO special on the making of the film; a multi-angle animation presentation; several deleted scenes; character profiles; biographies of the voice cast; a featurette on creating the town of Dukesberry for the film; and the movie's theatrical trailers.

Certainly not the most original film, or one of the better adaptations of Stephen King's work, Dreamcatcher is the type of movie to find more life on home video than it did in the theaters. The DVD, while also far from perfect, will surely help. The 2.35:1 anamorphic transfer (there is a severely cropped pan-and-scan version available separately) is nearly perfect, with great contrast and dense blacks, which comprise the majority of the film. This is a dark film, and the selective use of color stands out. This disc flawlessly captures that balance. The sound, which offers a 5.1 Dolby Digital track, is full of life, all in the correct proportions. Dialogue and sound effects are matched effectively, and the proper use of surrounds adds to the overall experience. The supplements, while not overwhelming, do offer some insight on this production. The main gist of the extras are three featurettes, none of which provide any real depth alone, and which probably should have been used for one single documentary. These three include a brief interview with King, a longer look at the production with interviews from director Lawrence Kasdan, the cast, and a number of crew members, and finally, another all-too-short piece on the visual effects of the film. Finally, along with the theatrical trailer, are three deleted scenes, an outtake, and a decisively anti-climactic alternate ending.

Mike Judge's underrated workplace comedy Office Space comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer that fails to preserve the original theatrical aspect ratio. Closed-captioned English soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround, while a Spanish soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround as well. Subtitles are accessible in both of those languages as well. Supplemental materials include the original theatrical trailer. This is a fine disc for what it is, but the film is available with a widescreen transfer. That version is superior to this one.

The surfing movie Blue Crush comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English, Spanish, and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. There are no subtitles, but the English soundtrack is closed-captioned. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by director John Stockwell, a second commentary track recorded by the three lead actresses (Kate Bosworth, Michelle Rodriguez, and Sanoe Lake), a making-of documentary, deleted scenes, a music video from Lenny Kravitz, a featurette on surfing, footage of spectacular surfing wipeouts, and biographies of the cast and crew. Those with a DVD-ROM drive can access additional extras. This is an excellent release from Universal.

this is the best season of bones that i have seen so far. all of the episodes were amazing, i could watch them over and over and i would never get tired of watching them. the storyline of this season was just awsome, this is probably the best show on tv right now , the best thing about this season is the charecters, Bones played by Emily deschanel! and FBI Special agent Seely Booth played by David Boreanaz! these are some of the best actors on tv, i would highly recomend this to everyone because this is an amazing show !!!!!
What's great about it: great episodes
