Steven Spielberg's variation on Peter Pan, Hook comes to DVD with a superb widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. Closed-captioned English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround. English subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include theatrical trailers, talent files, and production notes. This disc offers excellent picture and sound quality, making it worth a look, especially considering the reasonable list price.

To the previous reviewer who said that this movie "demolishes a classic Disney movie"; the story of Peter Pan is in no way owned or created by Disney. It is a classic story by J.M. Barrie, and has as little to do with the Disney version as all of the countless other variations of Peter Pan. This movie is not so bad in my opinion. It's not one of his best but can be fun at times.
Disney's amalgamation of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and The Wind in the Willows, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.33:1. English, Spanish, and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo. There are no subtitles, but the English soundtrack is closed-captioned. Supplemental materials include a DVD storybook, a trivia game, a cartoon, and a singalong song. This is a very enjoyable family title from Disney/Buena Vista.

Disney Fun

This is a lesser known Disney Movie but it is still worth seeing if you're a fan of Disney animation. This is a fun movie, and while it's definitly not on the same scale as the other Disney animated features made around the same time; it can still hold its own.
This release of Hercules on DVD contains a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.66:1. English, Spanish, and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, but only the English track is closed-captioned. There are no subtitles on this release. Supplemental materials on this THX-certified disc include a featurette titled "The Making of Hercules." Fans of the film will greatly enjoy this disc, but there is nothing here to draw in the unconverted.

I think this movie was the bginning of the end for Disney animation. It lacks the magic that mostley every Disney movie had up until then. But that's just me, if you're a fan of Disney animation I would recommend watching this so you could decide for yourself, but I don't think this is a good one.
If you're a fan of these two Addams family movies, this is a great DVD to have. It's nice thatt both films are on 1 disc. These are 2 fun, lighthearted movies that everybody should see!
This new Aristocats DVD makes the movie look and sound better than ever. This DVD package is defenintly lacking extras, but It is still worth getting just for the great new transfer. With many of the classic Disney movies, the restoration on DVD makes the film look like somebody painted over the great dark colors with a bright marker. That's definitly not the case with this one, It looks great and any Disney fan or collector should have it!
Paramount's DVD release of Barry Sonnenfeld's The Addams Family Values utilizes the qualities most admired by DVD converts: namely, 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer and remastered Dolby Digital 5.1 Audio. The former is particularly impressive, allowing the image to be conveyed in the sharpest of detail and showcasing the movie's rich palette of colors. The audio track is similarly impeccable, with the film's musical score balanced throughout all channels. Unfortunately, Paramount has failed to provide any features such as biographies, filmographies, or production notes, though two versions of the original theatrical trailer and optional subtitles are included. Given the rich history of the Addams Family, more background in the form of storyboards or references to the original comic strip would have been welcome. That said, Addams Family Values is still a terrific buy for fans as well as newcomers to the story as it contains all the key elements for an entertaining product: good ideas, good performances, and an ironic sense of reality.
