The SU-4010 Dual Mist Humidifier is great for homes that like to choose and change their surroundings. The SU-4010 can convert from ultrasonic to steaming humidifier easily, with the switch of a button. There is a dual nozzle so that you can cover more space, up to 500 square feet of space to be exact. The SU-4010 is energy efficient and only uses the power of two light bulbs! The longer power cord allows you to put the humidity where you want it, as do the adjustable nozzles. The SU-4010 features an ION exchanger and will demineralize our water to remove calcium and magnesium from your hard water, preventing white dust particles from depositing in your air.

I purchased this humidifier so my parrots would have humidity while I was on vacation. I began using it a week before my vacation. Just a couple hours before my flight and the unit told me to add water. It was full. I tried everything to get it work, but it didn't. My birds had to go without their much needed humidity, which was the purpose I bought this for. I was sent a second base unit, but it also tells me to add water and does not work. They want to do a third exchange and after telling me other customers have had this problem, I'm not sure I want to pay nearly $100 for a unit that doesn't last long. I can purchase one from Walmart for $20 and it will last for years. It's become too much trouble and will be easy just to return it at this point. The company I purchased it from and the company who makes it have been very nice and helpful, but I think I'm done. It also completely soaks your floor when you have it on high, so if you have wood floors, watch out! The warm mist is barely warm...it's more lukewarm. The idea of this unit was nice, it's too bad it doesn't work like it should!
What's great about it: Good idea
What's not so great: Quits working after 1 week, keeps floor wet
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Won't take it back
March 13, 2012
I notified this company well within the first 30 days that this unit quit working after almost one week of use. It quit just hours before I was to be at the airport for my month long trip. I allowed them to send me a new base unit, which also did not work and I really don't have the time or patience to keep going back and forth for a unit the company itself tells me has this problem on the unit, so I told them I just want to return it at this point and they told me that it's after 30 days, so no refund! So, I allowed them to try to fix the problem, once, and I'm supposed to eat it or go through the hassle of exchanging the unit until I get one that works, that will probably break down on my again, soon? I could go to Walmart and buy 3-4 units for what I paid for this one. Don't buy from this company!
