Older Is Better

The build quality of the speaker is very solid and the looks are pleasant but the sound is disappointing.
These were to replace an old set of Cerwin Vega AT-8 speakers from about 1995 in my den. The Vega's are 5 times a better sounding speaker than the Klipsch, period. Back to the store they went and now I am listening to my Vega's again.

Quiet, works well, easy to use

It is refreshing to purchase something that works as it should. Now a days that simple task is hard to accomplish.
The dehumidifier is very quiet, dehumidifies well, the controls are simple to use and the bucket is easy to remove and empty. Half of the things I buy I would not buy again. This is not the case here. I would definitely buy this item again.

Sits unused. Complete Junk

Below is the letter I sent to GE about my recent purchase. This is in no way Best Buys fault.
I am an industrial mechanic with an extensive mechanical background. My old Maytag washer started having problems after about 18 years of service. I enjoy rebuilding things as a hobby. I have completely disassembled and rebuilt the entire machine one piece at a time. While I was doing this I bought a new GE washer to use as a primary machine and to tide me over while I rebuilt my old one. After using the new GE machine for about 5 months now, my wife and I realize that the machine is terribly engineered and cheaply built. My wife refuses to even use the machine and uses exclusively our old 18 year old machine downstairs. I agree with her. The new GE spins way to fast making balancing a load impossible about 85 percent of the time. 4, 5, even 6 times we have to stop and redistribute the load so it doesn't shake violently. The high speed spin also causes clothes to compress to the side of the drum so tightly that the dryer can not get out the wrinkles. This is using the cycle that spins slower than the 700 R.P.M. top speed spin. There are other issues but these are the ones that have caused us to completely abandon using the machine. Times are tough for us and spending $529.64 at Best Buy to buy this unusable machine makes me discouraged and angry. I feel that this machine is completely useless to us and I would appreciate GE making arrangements to have the machine picked up and our money returned. Please pass this letter along to your engineering, research and development, and quality control departments.

Our television arrived Sunday and it went into service immediately. Less than one hour of watching and the colors were not stable. Colors were flashing from one color to another. Less than one hour of watching and the television was being put back in its box for return to Best Buy. It is scheduled for pick up Saturday. I would NOT buy or recommend this television.
