This edgy animated sitcom proved so popular after cancellation that it was subsequently resurrected and brought back to prime time. Family Guy arrives on DVD with some hilarious extras thanks to 20th Century Fox Home Video. Presented as originally aired in 1.33:1 full-frame, this release offers audio rendered in closed-captioned English Dolby Digital Surround in addition to alternate Spanish Dolby Digital Surround and French Dolby Digital Stereo. Optional English and Spanish subtitles are available as well. For those who can't get enough of the irreverent series, there are also audio commentaries on select episodes, featuring creator Seth MacFarlane, executive producer David Zuckerman, and various writers and cast members. A behind-the-scenes featurette provides a look at the making of Family Guy and internet promo spots show off some web-savvy marketing.

If you're gonna buy this, get ready for non stop laughter.
Adam Shankman's comedy Bringing Down the House comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. An English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, and a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Stereo. There are no subtitles, but the English soundtrack is closed-captioned. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by Shankman and screenwriter Jason Filardi. While short on any real insight into the film, the commentary makes it obvious that the pair had a fabulous time making the film and they do their best to communicate that feeling. A making-of featurette is paint-by-numbers. There is a short and very funny featurette on how Eugene Levy brought his knowledge of hip-hop culture to the film. A music video from Queen Latifah, deleted scenes, and a gag reel round out this strong package from Disney/Buena Vista.

Steve Martin's upscale and quiet lifestyle are interrupted when Queen Latifah brings the 'hood' to his lfe. These two are funny enough, but when Eugene Levy adds his wannabe color to the mix, the result is non stop hilarity.
This was the first CD I bought of Emerson Drive. Radio play of 'Moments' peaked my curiousity and I'm glad it gave it a listen. This is a fantastic addition to any country fan's collection.
