More then enough power
on February 28, 2013

Saw this PSU on the shelf for $99.95 an was like a 850W for that much especially TT i gotta get it. Well it rung up for $124.95 so had a PC sales guy dbl check with me an low an behold the sales sticker was wrong, for a different item but the PC sales Supervisor told him to give it to me for the $99. This PSU is all il ever need for a long time, and it even made my windows index score for CPU & RAM go up both by .5 each i was using a CM 450W PSU.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Alpine SPS-610
on October 7, 2011
Posted by: Dragolith
I listened to 9 different brands and even Kicker, and when i listened to these Alpine's even with a nasty tear in the cone from someone trying to move the tweeter it sounded great.
What's great about it: Brand and Quality cannot be beat
What's not so great: Nothing
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Sub For Money If Set Up Correctly
By Anonymous from Kalamazoo, MI
So many people are saying and have told me this sub sucks and is constantly blowing. This sub is one that NEEDS to be warmed up and not immediately put on full blast. I have 2 Polk Audio DXI 124 DVC hooked up to a Hifonics BRX1100.1D which cost me about $200 after the warranty was added. It gives each sub the proper amount of power and doesnt over-work them. Last year i had a single Polk Audio DXI 124 DVC and blew it in a few months because i had it hooked to a random amp and didn't break it in. This is an amazing sub when broken in and properly equipped so for only $100 you're getting an amazing sub.

Warm up?
July 27, 2013
How long did you let the sub warm up for? I bought one today to replace a 1/2 working Alpine Type R 12in and ive heard let the subs warm up but never have done it really so im gonna try since im running it at 2 ohms with 450w aka a Alpine MRV-M450 into it!

What amp would you suggest for one 12in alpine type s

TBH if you can get rid of the TypeS and get a TypeR! I had to return 2 TypeS because they kept going bad, the TypeR might be a lil more but if you go to Amaazon and have BB price match it you wont spend more then $150 or so on the sub!

What amp would be best for a single 10 inch alpine type R

Which amp would you suggest for a single 10 inch alpine type R 600 watt RMS?
I was told the alpine MRV-M500 would be just fine but i am not sure. Any suggestions
The MRV-M500 will do the job without a prob especially since you are using a SWR-10D4 im assuming and if ya run it into 2ohms you will pound that sucka np!

Do most 4 car channel amps have a preamp sub out?

If I mount the 4 channel amp in the trunk, using it to power the 4 in car speakers, is there a sub out that I can just run to the sub which will also be in the trunk?
Most 4 channel amps have a pre-out but unless it has a crossover with it, then it is full range, but if you are going to use a sub amp to run off the pre-outs then you should be fine since the amp will only utilize the sub frequencies, but not giving the amp name and model also makes it a lil hard to say yes or no.

what wires do i need to install

2'10in pioneer subwoofers and a capacitor and 1000 watt amp
You would need speaker wire go with 12g for the speakers, and a 1,500 watt amp wiring kit which you can get at most shops and some rings for the capacitor unless it already has a set with it.

What type of amp shoud i get to push this Kicker 40VCWS124 Subwoofer Enclosure.

I would get a Kicker DX2501 it is 250W RMS and will power the sub really well, i was gonna say the Alpine MRV-M250 cause i love Alpine but Best Buy does not carry this model anymore.

Recommended 5 channel amp??

I have (4) 6.5 pioneer 60 watts max rms @4 ohms and (2) JL Audio 10w6 dvc subs 6 ohm 300 watts rms. What amp or amps do you recommend?
Alpine has a nice amp that is 5 Channel it's the PDX-V9 Per channel into 4 Ohms: 100W RMS x 4 + 500W RMS (4-ohm, 14.4V <1%THD+N) & Per channel into 2 Ohms: 100W RMS x 4 + 500W RMS (2-ohm, 14.4V <1%THD+N), but you can turn the gains down to not over power the fronts and it will supply enough power to make the subs BOOM. But the amp is also $700 at Best Buy

how can i get most sound from my stock radio

Well if you do not want to upgrade the factory speakers at all and also use a aftermarket amp to power them there is not much you can do to get the stock stuff to sound better.

do they make amps for radios rather than subwoofers

Yes they make amps for radios rather then Subwoofers, most amps today have line level inputs which means you can run the radio power straight into the amp and then power the speakers you need to.

the right fit??

Amp and Sub? A kicker CVT 61/2 4ohms 150 rms 300 max with an Infinity 311a mono block 1-channel amp. ( If i understand correct if speaker is 4 ohms - amp should run on 2ohms watts??) Which in this case would be 312 watts x 1 channel. Or would the amp ALSO be on 4ohms wattage???
Problem is Kicker does not make a 6 1/2 CVT sub, but if you mean the 12in CVT at 4ohm the amp would only put out 116W RMS x1 @ 4 Ohms, and 312W RMS x 1 @ 2 Ohms, so you would need 2 of these subs to get the 2ohm rating, but then you would still be under powering the sub by a big amount, so if you can get a 2ohm and return the 4ohm if you have not gotten it yet.
