I used to own a SWS-12D4 but the MRV-M500 kept causing it to go bad and it was not being over-powered by any means! I have owned this sub before as a SWR-12D2 and only had one Voice Coil wired up because the other was bad when i bought it from a Pawn Shop. But still with 1 VC it shook my truck and made the person infront of me feel the boom! I have owned alot of different Subwoofers in my time and the only one that comes close to this one is a L7-12in! And i listen to Rock & Roll, Rap, Oldies and some new stuff!

The only thing i do not like is the Green wire which others have stated, but now having all Razer products, keyboard, mouse & now headphones i can control them all with Razer Synapses 2.0. And it makes it alot easier then having to connect 2 wires into my PC since this has a USB connection.

Had one issue with the 1st install forgot to enable AHCI before installing Windows OS which is recommended but after i redid the Windows 7 (64) install it worked flawlessly and boots up so dang quick im amazed, the 250GB SSD replaces 1TB 7200RPM HD i had been using for the OS and i am quite happy with it. The What's included forgot to add the installation disk for 2 programs which you can d/l both just as easy.
Been building & using PC's for years and now having a SSD is like going from a Straight 4 some what terrible engine to a V8 that much quicker!
And now my CPU is the slowest thing on my PC but i went from alot of scores of 5.3-7.1's to all 7.3-7.9 (the SSD got the 7.9 score)

I finally got up to replacing my old CDA-7863 head unit and wanted something newer and since it was this years model and the deck had alot of features the one below did not it was the only option and the display and ambient color could be modified big time made it also attractive. One thing i did not like is that Best Buy does not carry atleast 1 or 2 of these in house, i had to wait 5 days for it. I also like the Alpine TuneIt app is able to be used on my cellphone which will make tuning this deck alot easier.

Alpine is a name you can trust, the deck in my truck has lasted 11 years and is Alpine and not once had an issue.
This amp sounds great and for such a small footprint of a install it would fit under almost any seat, but it went under my trucks backseat!
Only one issue i found, the Crutchfield website lists the amp able to handle a 1ohm load where Alpines does not show the spec so i sent a question to Alpine on Facebook to clarify the difference in data between the 2 sites!

I bought this sub to replace a Polk one i had bought last year for $30 and found this one on a site cheaper then BB but since BB matches prices it was easier to get!
I originally had a TypeR but the pawn shop sold me a dual 2ohm VC and one of the VC's were blown and they never told me and the TypeR's are a lil more pricey for the quality!

Parents bought me one for a early X-mas present with the one year sub, and tbh with little games there are out there for this console i do not play it alot, i mainly play BF4 other then that it sits alot unused, but still nice to have!
One thing i wish the PS4 had was a HDMI pass-through so people who still own a PS3 or 360 could use that like the one has, other then that i have had no issues with it what so ever!

I bought this deck to replace a 2003 Alpine which has worked without issues, but as time change so do the decks we use and with technology and Bluetooth making things easier this deck makes it some what easier! Almost my entire system is Alpine but the sub and this deck only using the RCA's even at max volume sound great!

My old phone bit the dust and this was a cheap phone and the clerk saw it for $10 cheaper on the VM site so he gave it to me for that price!
The BlueTooth is nice, but there is a prob a al pine tuneit app does not work with this model, so keep that in mind if you are getting a new head unit!

For $27 total this sub could not be beat i had another sub that was a DVC which i bought used and i had found out that one of the Voice Coils were bad in it so i had to get a new sub, and since the this store did not have any Bass Lines in stock this was my 2nd choice.
I tested this sub out at the store and it was in the box i use all the time a bandpass box so i got to test it in my favorite box, and the amp they had hooked up to it was about the same amount of power i was using and the sub sounded great!
One thing i did not like was the speaker terminals, normally you would find a dual set on each side but this sub only comes with 1 pair on each side making it so you half to do a lil different wiring!

So many people are saying and have told me this sub sucks and is constantly blowing. This sub is one that NEEDS to be warmed up and not immediately put on full blast. I have 2 Polk Audio DXI 124 DVC hooked up to a Hifonics BRX1100.1D which cost me about $200 after the warranty was added. It gives each sub the proper amount of power and doesnt over-work them. Last year i had a single Polk Audio DXI 124 DVC and blew it in a few months because i had it hooked to a random amp and didn't break it in. This is an amazing sub when broken in and properly equipped so for only $100 you're getting an amazing sub.

How long did you let the sub warm up for? I bought one today to replace a 1/2 working Alpine Type R 12in and ive heard let the subs warm up but never have done it really so im gonna try since im running it at 2 ohms with 450w aka a Alpine MRV-M450 into it!

Well not knowing if they are 2 or 4 ohm DVC makes it hard to establish the correct amp!

I would get a Alpine MRV-M500 to power them, i personally have one and use it to power a 500-1500W Alpine TypeS and it does a amazing job and if you wire it to 2ohms which it is stable to, you will get around 500-600W RMS 1200W peak or so and it will power those 2 12's easy!

i have two 12' s cvts
Well you forgot to add the impedance aka ohms because that will make a huge factor on the amp, but if they are both 4 ohm or even 2 ohms id recommend getting a Alpine MRX-M55 it has the power to boom those kickers and is also 1ohm stable if you got the 2ohm kickers!

Which amp should i use for a single 12" polk audio sub?
Well the problem is you forgot to state the model # & if it is SCV or DVC because that makes a HUGE difference in power range!
But i used a Alpine MRP-M450 with a Polk DXi 12in DVC and it sounded great.
