It seems to me the makers of this game just took Gears Of War and mashed it up with Stephen King's Dark Tower series and added a little Japanse animation.
the premise of the movie was flawed from the begining. if people spend their waking hours controlling a robot then how can they even have the muscle strength to get up and walk around when theyre unplugged? and especially how can children of their society develop properly if they never get any real exercise? everyone in the future would be weak, atrophied little retards. i know im probably over-thinking the movie but i know im right and it totally ruined it for me.
if you dont know who stewart mason is, hes the loser that wrote the review on the release notes tab on this site. anyway, this cd is a great technical death metal gem.its they definitely know how to play their stuff. arpeggios gallore. the guitar player sweeps like a janitor. drummer does a great job with the blast beats. the only thing this cd is lacking is song structure. the only reason i say that is because i personally dont care for the break down deathcore parts. theyre just boring to me. but to the bands credit those parts definitely give a break between the super technical blast parts and for that reason im not going to hold it against them. i just wish those parts didnt sounds so tough guy-esque it makes me feel like i should have a giant truck and small di*k.
What's great about it: super technical
What's not so great: some parts get a little hardcore/deathcore
I still dont understand how this movie was so bad. it seemed like it coud be great: Polanski, Depp, an inverted cross on the cover: but it was awful. i could compare this to a good made for tv movie. This seemed like a half hearted and ill-informed look at satanism. And im definetly not a satanist, but im certainly familiar with it, and this movie basically made a mockery of it. I could basically summarize this 3 hour movie as this: Depp walks around, finds a book, someone takes the book, then he gets it back, then someone takes it again, then he goes looking for it, then someone takes it again, but then he finds it again, someone lights themself on fire, then someone else takes the book, then an odd but hot girl comes and helps him find it again, then they find a really cheesy satanic cult, then the movie is over. and throughout all 3 hours of that was the most awful soundtrack. It really reminded me of Desperate Housewives.
What's great about it: i woulndt say the acting was great, but it wasnt bad
What's not so great: the soundtrack was especially bad
This is a great addition to the morbid angel alphabet. i was missing that 'E' album for way too long. It's a little hard to find but its a great one. Theres obviously no new material here since its a live cd. But its all good stuff. It covers material from the first 3 albums. Unfortunaly theres only one track for Domitaion but thats ok.
What's great about it: Very rare, great production for a live cd
What's not so great: too hard to actually get anywhere
Very brutal death metal. not over the top technical, but still quite proficient, if anything the sheer speed of a few of the songs can be considered technical. Another great thing about this album is the bands ability to get some parts of songs to be catchy. I dont mean that they are melodic or anything in that way, there is just something about them that can be catchy and extremely brutal at the same time. Production is top notch as well so dont worry about that. Definetly a must have for real death metal fans. \m/
Its hard not to compare this to Inhuman Rampage, and in some ways this album fails. But this is by no means a bad one and i certaily dont regret buying it, its just not as catchy as Inhuman. Its missing a lot of the hooks that would get stuck in your head like Inhuman did. This album is probably their most technical so far which is why i would recomend this to somone who actually appreciates how talented this band is; and not just because of their cheesy, albeit, funny shenanigans and that blasted guitar hero game. Best track here is Last Journey Home.
The rock rolls harder than ever before in this Cartoon Network series detailing the day-to-day struggles of Dethklok - a notorious heavy metal outfit so powerful they make Cannibal Corpse sound like Raffi.

I was always apprehensive about this show, being a real death metal musician. I was worried they would be making fun of metal and that was about all would be in the show. I was so pleasantly suprised to find the attention to detail in the music, the bands equipment, everything. You can really tell the creators are metal heads too. The music is good, vocals could be deeper, but then you couldnt understand him, and that would defeat the comic purpose. One of my favorite things are the references to actually metal bands, From Dimmu Burger to Fintroll's grocery store, theres a lot of references. My favorite is actuall from season 2 where a hillbilly yells out "im a lunatic of gods creation." This show is a classic and can be apprecicated by anyone but this is really a show by metalheads, for metalheads.
What's great about it: Awsome music, hilarios metal satire, great animation, extreme attention to detail.
What's not so great: Episodes are very short, 11 mins
This is the best album ive ever heard, and when i heard it i was a devout death metal head, this cd instatnly got me hooked on power metal. "And then there was sinlence" is well worth the price of the cd, that song especially shows off not only the bands technical musicianship, but their strong songwriting ablities. Its so easy to lose yourself in this cd, its almost like watching a movie. If you like this, also check out Demons & Wizards, its blind guardians singers other band with jon schaffer of iced earth.
What's great about it: Best album from the best power metal band
What's not so great: there will probably never be anything as good or better than this, except Demons & Wizards
