MacBook Air features fifth-generation Intel Core processors with stunning graphics, all-day battery life*, ultrafast flash storage, and great built-in apps. It's thin, light and durable enough to take everywhere you go — and powerful enough to do everything once you get there.
I bought this solely to use as a secondary computer. I have an iMac at home, but a lousy internet connection, so I occasionally need to go to the local library to get work done, and this laptop will fit the bill. I bought it because it's Apple's cheapest laptop, and I got a great deal on it on sale. Can I ever imagine using this as my main computer? No. What I like about it is that it's small, lightweight, easy to carry around, and it's a Mac. The tradeoff is a small screen size, but for occasional use it's okay. I don't particular like the trackpad--I have to use a mouse because using the trackpad kills my wrist. The worst part of the Macbook Air is definitely the screen quality. I know it's not a "Retina" screen, but even so, Apple could have put a better regular screen in it. The viewing angles are so embarrassingly bad that there isn't even a single sweet spot. Even when you're staring straight at it, dead center, you can notice the color shifts around the right and left edges of the screen.

Good but Troublesome

Everything went smoothly as far as programming for my Sony TV and DVD player, and my Motorola cable box. But when I tried to program my Harmon Kardon receiver and CD player I hit a snag that almost made me return this remote to the store. The Harmon Kardon codes just didn't work, so I tried to program the remote using the learning feature. However, the remote just wouldn't learn the codes from my HK remotes correctly. For example, I got it to turn on my HK receiver, but it wouldn't shut it off. It would raise the volume, but not lower it. Finally, I tried programming it not from the HK receiver remotes themselves but from my old Sony Universal Remote (the one I was replacing) that had already been programmed successfully for my HK equipment. At that point, the remote finally learned all of the codes. So overall I'm happy with it, even though it was more trouble to program than it should have been.
What's great about it: Learning, Lots of Buttons
What's not so great: A little too big and awkward in the hand
Arguably the best 9/11 movie to date. Reign Over Me takes a very personal and close-up look at how 9/11 affects just one individual, a man who lost his entire family in the attacks. Great acting, as usual, by Don Cheadle, but Adam Sandler was a huge surprise. I usually avoid his comedies, but this time around, in a dramatic role, he really impressed. Plus, he looked so much like Bob Dylan in this movie that he just has to do a movie about Bob Dylan soon!
What's great about it: Captivating storyline, great acting

From the local business owners to the communities and everyone else affected by Wal-Mart's unprecedented grasp on the consumer marketplace, this documentary offers a little-seen perspective on the store that sent "mom and pop" packing.

A Definite Must See!!

Whether you're a Wal-Mart shopper or not, you must see this movie. The movie tells it like it is and clearly explains the economic impact Wal-Mart has made on American life, from issues like health insurance, employee wages, and the "Made in China" label. Of course, it is only one side of the story, and I believe Wal-Mart has made a rebuttal movie of some sort. Still, it's definitely worth seeing!
The acting is outstanding. Set design is minimal--most of the movie takes place in a prison cell. Steel Toes follows the story of a skinhead arrested for the murder of an Indian restaurant worker. The movie concentrates on how his court-appointed attorney, a Jewish man, has to break through his own hatred for the skinhead in order to reach him and represent him effectively. While I liked the movie, I nonetheless had the sense throughout that it would work much better as a play. In fact, because of the minimal set design and the superb script, it felt more like a filmed play than a movie. Recommended.
This multimedia monster features a SuperDrive DVD burner, a huge 250GB hard drive and ATI RADEON X1600 graphics, providing the power and space you need for digital imaging, gaming and more.

Excellent Computer--The Best iMac EVER

I bought one of the few remaining white iMacs after seeing the glaring and highly reflective screen on the new aluminum iMac, which gave me a bad case of eye strain every time I spent more than 30 minutes on it in the store. I'm a photographer, so I need to be able to see my photos clearly when I'm editing them, and on this screen I can, without having to fight with a reflection of myself getting in the way. The screen on this computer is actually a higher end IPS screen with a 170 degree viewing angle, compared to a lower end TN screen (the kind found in laptops) with only a 160 degree viewing angle on the aluminum 20" iMac. Colors remain consistent despite shifting positions from one side to the other, from the top to the bottom. A lot of people can gather around this computer to check out the screen, and they can all see it clearly. The clear view is not limited to just one person sitting straight in front of it. Plus, there's no annoying glare or reflections! Everything else about the computer is great too--set up was a breeze. It's lightning fast. And it's just plain fun. If the aluminum iMac isn't for you, search for one of these before they're all gone. It's more expensive, but it's worth every penny.
