The first unit I took home failed out of the box and it was hard to find a replacement at Best Buy. I was able to chase one down at another Best buy on my own. The second unit has been working great. I am very happy with it. The auto set up paid attention to all speakers being in phase as well as setting level, distance and optimizing the frequency bands to my room. The feature set is rich enough that I know that I don't know everything yet. The manual is in digital form so finding what you want to know is easy. Bottom line it sounds great in my difficult room.

What's great about it: Auto setup excellent, well intrgated with other HDMI controll equipment

What's not so great: The remote labels are hard to read even in good light, Te first unit failed out of the box.

JJ Abrams has found the way to connect young filmakers to the super imagination invovled. Super surprises as things developes.

What's great about it: Future filmakers great hook.

What's not so great: Extras very limited and substandard.

Although there is no reason to throw your older Blu-ray disk away for this one, this edition makes some nice additions to the last DVD version. This disk is as high resolution as the original source material allows.

What's great about it: NIce Bluray features

What's not so great: Mostly the same as the DVD version.

Will the Wii fitness play other games?

The WII console plays a great many games. As far as the balance board that comes with the WII fitness there are several other games that use the balance board. The WII resort is one of them. In addition to the skate boarding and surfing apps, I have a lumber camp app that uses the balance board for actitivites like climbing a pole and log rolling. I seems to me that more and more games are being written to take advantage of the balance board.

What do I need to use the exercise program?

In addition to the resolve to keep exercising, the WII Fit plus and balance board package is very important. The WII Fit software includes actitvities for Strength building and yoga that is very much like going to the gym with a trainer. The aerobic, balance and Plus activities tend to be fun oriented and I find that combining a routine of strength building and Yoga with choosing various actitvities from the balance and Plus menus makes it easy for me to commit to an hour plus a day.

The balance menu has activities like soccer heading, skiing and getting a marble into a hole by shifting your weight which tips a board on the screen.

Aerobics are things like shadow boxing, running and hula hoop twirling.

Plus has advance versions of the balance and aerobic activities plus things like tilt city, biking and Segwaying.

You just have to be ready to combine getting fit with having some fun.

can the wii be safe for little kids

I would say that by the time that the child walks and talks fluently, many of the WII games would be suitable. Very young kids should be supervised to make sure that the keep the wrist strap on (Preventing the WII controller from being thrown). The child is ready to load their own games when you can trust them to load their own DVDs (An activity of similar complexity). The controllers are all low voltage (2 AA batteries). As previously noted, there is a much greater risk of the child accidentally throwing the controller if the wrist strap is not used that there is to the child.

what is the difference between the 149.99 wii and the 199.99 wii besides the extra game

I believe that the $149.99 is refurbished. The 199.99 is a completely new machine that incudes a $50 game and a WII motion plus that allows much more precise tracking of the remote.

Compare between wii refurbished and new black bundle.

I wonder which one I can buy: the refurbished or the new bundle with wii sport resort?

With WII Resort and motion plus included in the new bundle, the refurbished machine is effectively more expensive than a new bundle. Since my first WII burned out in about 9 months, I question whether a machine that has failed before would be as durable as a new machine.

What kind of cables do I need to purchase in order to conect the Wii Console to my Cinego Projector (home theater) unit?

Will the cables that come with the Wii work? Or will I need to purchase either a Composite Adaper or a Component Adaper? The Rocketfish
Component Video/Stereo Audio Gaming Cable for Wii was offered in the Saving Bundle over Christmas 09.
Is this the cable I need? Please include a SKU number if possible.

Because the output from the WII is composite video, it is necessary to have composite support on your video display device. Composite inputs are starting to disappear on video display devices. Many home theater receivers include conversion from composite to S-Video and Component video. This solution gives the the benefit of enjoying the surround sound effects that the WII games provide and is much less expensive than the alternative of getting a dedicated scaller (Minimum $1200).
