Bought this for school use - both the printer and the scanner/copier work very well. It was easy to set up, even though the Win 7 drivers had to be downloaded from Windows Update, it wasn't too painful. Installation on a Windows 8 machine was a breeze.
I specifically chose this model over an HP so I would have a wired (RJ-45) connection, since wireless printer connections are unreliable no matter which manufacturer I deal with.
The wired network connection prints quickly, and the print quality is quite good. This was a good value for the price!

Purchased the latest set of toner cartridges for my HP 2605 color laser. These work well, and the cost isn't terribly bad when compared to the terrible cost (and frequent replacement) of inkjet cartridges.
I've been very pleased with my laserprinter ever since I purchased it, and these cartridges keep it working at it's best. Even better when I was able to find them on sale, so it was a good price and quick shipping!

My son had this phone about 3 months, and it shattered after falling 1 foot. He liked the screen, calls seemed ok, but the design is absolutely atrocious.
He's now stuck with using an older spare phone already in the family until he can upgrade again (16 months from now!)
Another issue is: No Removable Battery. There is no way to add an extra capacity battery, nor can you remove the battery if (I mean when) the phone freezes. This is a huge design flaw, and if LG is trying to be as terrible as apple, then congrats, they succeeded.
I've always had trouble with LG products, and this just seals the deal. I pleaded with him to buy something else, but sometimes you just have to learn the hard way. Both his LG and his wife's iPhone broke, I categorize them the same - Junk!
If you must purchase this phone, buy insurance. Better yet, buy something else...

This Yamaha looks good, it fits well on the shelf with my Yamaha amp, but the smart menu setup is limited, expecially compared to the toy-like Samsung system it replaced.
Most significant for me, it suffers from a key defect - there is no dedicated power on - power off remote codes. This makes it very difficult to set up with a universal remote. Im taking it back, may be forced to consider a Sony...
Happy to see Yamaha is building blu-ray equipment, hope they get it right next time!

I can't get that excited about toner, but I'm very pleased with the printer, and it made sense to pick this up at the same time. I would still recommend it even if you were buying it outright, this cartridge is advertised for 1200 sheets <4 cents per page. Can't complain about that!

Purchased this for my mother in law, her inkjet kept drying up. This model offers a WIRED connection to the LAN (I would never trust a wireless printer connection!) and it duplexes as well!
The BestBuy deal offered a package price on the printer and toner that was too good to pass up. I'm very pleased with this printer.

Heard about this system from a friend, and had to give it a try. This system requires a robust internet connection, but if you have one (I'm running 30MB cable) it is a great option.
The system was set up in 15 minutes, and then you have nationwide phone service. For the price of the taxes (check their website), you can replace your traditional POTS with VOIP. After 2 weeks, I was comfortable enough to port my existing phone line, and I went from $43/mo for local only to >$5/mo for unlimited US long distance (OOMA basic)
I then opted for the $9.99 additional for OOMA premier--With premier you can access your voicemail anywhere in the US, or forward your home phone to another line (cell?) while traveling. For me it was still an incredible deal!
I have had the occasional echo, but I simply call back.
I'm very happy with this choice, and I worry for the phone company (well, not really!)

Bought this to replace an aging W98 machine. It's guick and runs well, but I have a few issues with it. The first was the included keyboard, it has a function key on the outer left edge - instead of the control key. I find it very frustrating.
The solution is to buy a different keyboard. But Lenovo should realize this is a normal computer, not a laptop, don't give me a laptop keyboard for it!
The other issue is an M$ problem (Win8). But I'm trying Classic Shell rather than reloading the entire machine with an OEM copy of Windows 7.
It's a small machine, you really cannot add anything into it, but for the purpose (basic e-mail and internet machine) it works just fine.
The solution is to buy a different keyboard. But Lenovo should realize this is a normal computer, not a laptop, don't give me a laptop keyboard for it!

If you are looking at this listing, I'm sure you already know the plot of the movie so I won't comment on it. If you are thinking about replacing your existing DVD with Blu-Ray, do it!
We purchased this to replace our DVD, and the colors and detail are amazing - I enjoyed the opening sequence more than ever before, not only the radio montage, but the details of the earth and the solar system were stunning! The rest of the movie was still good, but the first few minutes just knocked me out!
What's great about it: Visually stunning
I would recommend this to a friend!

This laptop is actually for my wife - the hard drive in her previous laptop died, and she decided she'd rather just get a whole new computer rather than try to replace the drive. If we had known what a pain Windows 8 was, we probably would have gone with replacing the drive. Why does Microsoft feel they need to completely re-invent the wheel every time they put out a new version of Windows? Trying to set anything up on this computer was a real pain - it took me forever just to figure out how to get to Control Panel. All so Microsoft could make our computer look more like a cell phone. Thanks, Microsoft.
Once we got it set up, Windows kept urging us to upgrade to version 8.1. So we did...only to find out that the virus protection software offered by Comcast to their customers doesn't work with 8.1. So we had to reset the computer back to factory settings, losing everything we had installed up to that point. Lots of fun.
Anyway, we did eventually get it set up to where she can use the applications that she had on her old PC - Quicken, Office, picture editing software, etc. And she does like the new laptop - her only complaint is that built-in mousepad doesn't have a physical "line" to seperate the mouse area from the buttons, so she freqently moves the mouse when she meant to left-or-right click on something.

I feel your pain - Windows 8 is ridicululous for anyone who isn't fingerpainting on their tablet. When I had to purchase a machine recently, I went cheap and installed classic shell - this brought back Win7/XP interfaces. Cost - $0
A more complete solution would be to purchase Windows 7 OEM software and reload your machine. I'm happier when I do this since the garbage software from the PC manufacturer is no longer installed, and my machine runs best this way.
You want to make sure you can find Windows 7 drivers before you do this however, and you may want to enlist a tech savvy friend if you've not done a bare-metal install before.

is this just the difference in the processors with the laptops? other features appear the same and so is the price?
The processor is it. the 6600 gives you a Core 2 processor instead of the base model.

is there a portable CD player that works thru my cars cassette deck?
Your deck probably does not have a direct input - so look for a cassette adapter (BB sells several of them). You can "play" the cassette and plug the cord into your CD player (or MP3 player, or GPS, or... just about anything!)
Be sure to set the volume on your CD a little lower otherwise you will get some distortion if you drive the adapter too loudly.

Yes you can. The blu-ray player will read the normal dvds just fine (like dvd players can also read cds)
