The figurine is cool and it also comes with a dvd about a lost comic book that was never printed which is cool for die hard fans. the only thing is that its smaller than expected but it was was only a penny so i won't complain. recommended to collectors or fans of fantastic four movie/comic books.
What's great about it: fantastic four figurine
What's not so great: the size

oscar worthy

This movie is about the legendary Howard Hughes, who was both a filmmaker and an aviator, to which he valued most. Leonardo DiCaprio does a fantastic job portraying him in the film, and i have no idea why he didn't win an oscar for this because he should have. Also Martin Scorsese does another fantastic job at what he does best, directing. This film also has great performanes by Cate Blanchett( who did win a well deserved oscar), Kate Beckinsale, and Alec Baldwin. I would recommend this film to anyone who is a fan of great filmmaking. This dvd also boasts great special features, including an HBO documentary on the life of Howard Hughes, and the video and audio are perfect. There is no reason to not watch this film, it is perfect.
What's great about it: martin scorses/leonardo dicaprio movie, screenplay, acting, etc.
What's not so great: might be a little long but thats only if you don't like or get the movie

Mel Gibson's lush, savage Revolutionary War epic is given the royal treatment in this DVD from Columbia-TriStar. The film is shown in an anamorphic widescreen presentation, which preserves the original 2.35:1 aspect ratio. In addition, the digital mastering makes for a clearer picture with crisp, vibrant colors. The sound is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1, so viewers won't miss one thundering musket or crunching cannonball. As for extras, The Patriot does not disappoint. Director Roland Emmerich and producer Dean Devlin offer a feature-length commentary that offers some good insights into the making of the picture. The commentary at times seems to be improvised, however, occasionally leading to some distracting asides and in-jokes. The Patriot also offers a host of deleted scenes, which feature an optional commentary and serve to expand some of the film's subplots and characters. Viewers are also treated to three behind-the-scenes featurettes. The first of these offers a tutorial on the creation of the film's gorier special effects, while the other two provide an interesting look at the filmmaker's painstaking efforts to bring American history to life. For fans of the film, this is a must-own. For the uninitiated, it offers an excellent chance to experience The Patriot.

great war film

This is a very good film adaptation of the American Revolution, and believe me i do not like war films. Mel gibson and Heath Ledger give great performances and work great together. This film is obviously not going to be exact, its a hollywood movie and they tend to over dramatize things but over all regardless if you hate or love war movies you will like it and you owe yoursef to watch this movie.
What's great about it: the casting, direction, story
What's not so great: a little too long and can be sad at times

one of the best

This is probably scorseses best film, to which he won best director. The movie is about the irish mob in boston which isn't something many people are aware of. The casting in this film is probably one of the best i have ever seen, you have leonardo dicaprio, mark wahlberg, matt damon, jack nicholsen, martin sheen, and alec baldwin and all of them did absoutely perfect. The movie is based off a triology called Internal Affairs, and this one was based off the second movie in the trilogy so lets just hope they plan on making a prequel and a sequel as well. There is nothing negative about this film even though i am not a fan of the ending. You owe yourself to watch this film, you will not be disappointed.
What's great about it: the film, director, actors, screenplay, etc
What's not so great: the ending(i'm not going to give it away)

Brian Helgeland rocked the medieval world with this knightly tale that combined jousting and romance with a modern music score. Presented in Anamorphic widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, this DVD captures the snap, crackle, and pop of each lancing blow. The story of a squire "changing his stars" by impersonating a nobleman so he could compete in tournaments was one that brewed in Helgeland's head for a number of years before he finally put it to paper in one month's time. His years of research then allowed him to do the unlikely -- give tiny, enhancing details to a big-scale film. These facts and more can be found on the DVD, a disc that not only provides great insight into Helgeland's method and process, but allows fans to take a closer look at one of the things that made this such an entertaining film: the action and jousting sequences. (Who imagined there was pasta inside those lances to make them splinter especially well?) Features include commentary by Helgeland and his good friend, the oft-naked Paul Bettany, as well as 11 behind-the-scenes featurettes, six deleted scenes with the filmmaker's introduction (check out the one with Chaucer's wife), an HBO "making of" special, Queen and Robbie Williams' "We Are the Champions" video, filmographies, and theatrical trailers for A Knight's Tale and Final Fantasy.

this is another great movie with heath ledger. the movie is strictly for fun and isn't at all accurate so if thats what you want then don't even bother to read the rest of the review. The movie also has a lot of really good rock music, which set in medieval times is quite funny. If you like heath ledger, or just want to watch a good funny movie then do yourself a favor and watch this movie.
What's great about it: great movie, the dvd has a good amount of special features

great movie

this movie was filmed completely in venice which made it even better. the film isn't very accurate on the real casanova and doesn't take itself really seriously but thats what makes the film so much fun. heath ledger is great as casanova and brings a lot of carm and comedy to the role as well as sienna miller who plays off of heath very well. if your looking for a funny feel good movie that isn't too serious then you will like the movie, but if you are looking for a historically accurate movie about casanova then this isn't the movie for you.
What's great about it: the movie was filmed completely in venice and is a great movie
What's not so great: not a historic movie about the real casanova if thats what your looking for

A sumptuous picture and thundering sound quality compensate for the complete lack of extras in this DVD edition of Paramount's blockbuster. The picture is a gorgeous 2.35:1 widescreen transfer, although it is not anamorphic. Still, it's hard to complain with such vibrant blues, golds, and reds filling the screen. Sound, too, is excellent. Offered in Dolby Digital 5.1, it's given a workout throughout the entire picture. James Horner's score has never sounded more alive, and the actual sinking is an earth-shattering sonic experience. From the roar of seawater to the splitting of hull plates, every sound is reproduced with startling clarity. The only head-scratcher here is the complete lack of extras. A film of this size, and having this much impact, must have a vault-load of deleted scenes, documentaries, and so on. James Cameron has often re-released his films in extras-laden special editions. Let's hope that one for Titanic waits in the wings. In the meantime, the gorgeous picture and sound will satisfy those who simply must have Titanic on DVD.

this is the worst release of titanic
on January 20, 2008

this dvd release of titanic is even worse than the tenth aniversary edition. this release has no extras, bad picture and bad sound. there is no reason to buy this version especially since its more exspensive and is inferior to the other titanic dvd releases. The only one worth buying is the 3 disc collectors edition.
What's great about it: the film
What's not so great: lack of extras, horrible sound and picture

the best series ever

this is the best series ever. the collection comes with all ten complete seasons but the case is a sort of fabric and not well done. also the dvds come in slip cases which can easily be damaged. for those of you who were lucky enough to buy them separately and buy the collectors box that came out at the same time as the tenth season dont bother because your collection is far more superior. But all and all the collection is great for anyone who likes comedy and any fan who hasn't already purchased them already.
What's great about it: the series
What's not so great: the box it comes in

yes the fifth book is the largest and yet the shortest movie but still a fantastic job. they stayed with the story only leaving out useless information. the direction got better and it was more than just harry, hermione and ron this time. a great adventure. if you liked the others you will surely love this one.
What's great about it: a better direction
What's not so great: still kind of dark

this is the EXACT same thing as the titanic dvd released as a special collecotrs edition in 2005 but without a third bonus disc. this dvd release is more exspensive but yet you are only recieving 2 discs instead of the 3 you get in the special collectors edition. stay away from this release and buy the special collecotrs edition.
What's great about it: the movie
What's not so great: a second rate dvd release
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
