when i saw this movie for the first time i quickly fell in love with Richard Armitage's character John Thornton he has a serious intensity about him that is just so amazing and mysterious ,he reminded me of matthew mcfadyen's character Mr. Darcy on pride and prejudice which might i add is my all time favorite movie, and now north and south is right at the top of my list with it also! i also loved Daniela Denby-Ashe as strong-willed and stubborn margaret hale. i would recommend this movie to any jane austen/romance movie lover!
