Maybe Mark Ronson is known in English productions circles but I'd never heard of him as an artist...my loss. A favorite track has to be Toxic, made famous by Britney Spears; Mark's version gets down and dirty and makes no excuses. Expect the same on other covers...he gets his head into the critical elements of the song and exploits all the best parts while imparting his penchant for the 60's groove, beats, and horns. Look for artists Amy Winehouse, Phantom Planet, Robbie Williams (and more) as featured artists.
Ya gotta like it hard, but this album is so melodic that it would be a great album to give your MOM if you wanted to convince her that the music you listen to has value. The engineers/producers did a great job of getting the mix right, too. This album sounds great as a whisper or a holler, but be forewarned, your system may not be loud enough to satisfy your desire for MORE on songs like Polyamorous and Natural Life.
What's great about it: Melodic, hard edged, infectiously catchy
What's not so great: I don't have the power to think that hard.
Heard Sia in BB on a loop and recognized that she had serious vocal potential. The album did not disappoint me at all. She has done her practice for sure and it pays off in the performance. I had listened to the album in pieces a few times but recently had the time and inclination listen to the album all the way through, sitting in the dark, kids in bed...
so the album gets a 5. It's not perfect (no album is perfect), but it is worth the price over and over.
What's great about it: Dreamy, catchy, hypnotic, +bonus tracks online

Sensor cooking with Panasonic's Inverter technology means this big boy is capable and easy to use. I've cooked 5 lb. whole chickens in 40 min. Cakes in casserole dishes in less than 10 min. My 4 year old daughter can cook breakfast sausages by herself and I don't have to worry about the house filling with smoke. If you get one of these (or any Panasonic with Sensor/Inverter) be warned that a mortal microwave will no longer satisfy you.
