Hoo boy. What can I say? I watched the first half glued to my seat. And then, the plot twist was... ridiculous. Do yourself a favor. Watch it, stop it about 45 minutes into it, and then make up your own ending.
The Horror after Dark series, I always thought, was supposed to be just that - Horror movies. Not a recreation of past events in a suspenseful fashion. If you are looking for an actual horror movie, this is not really it. The plot is definitely interesting, and well-done, however, the acting falls very flat, and the movie leaves you feeling uncomfortable at best, with the craving to never visit over the border. I suppose in that, it does its job, but I will be honest, I was not impressed at all with either the acting, or the supposed supernatural effects.
What's great about it: truly depicts the horrors of human nature
