Great Anime Movie!
on November 3, 2007

I've never really been into anime or even final fantasy but i really liked this movie. It had a lot of cool action in it and it was very random and made no sense to me. Anyway i really did enjoy it but it coul've helped to probably play the games.

Pixar's award-winning animated adventure film for the entire family The Incredibles gets a truly super treatment on this two-disc DVD release from Disney/Buena Vista Home Entertainment. After a short introduction from the film's writer and director, Brad Bird, the first disc kicks into full gear with a razor-sharp, spectacular 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen picture transfer. The disc's picture, which has been taken directly from the digital source, is breathtaking and is perfect for showing off the powers of a high-definition television. The film's lush audio is also wonderfully represented for home viewing with a THX-mastered soundtrack, presented in English, Spanish, or French Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround EX. The result is an audio presentation that thrusts the viewer into the film's world. A lively and informative audio commentary track from Brad Bird is also available. As if the phenomenal work done on the first disc wasn't enough, Pixar continues its proud tradition of including a generous helping of some impressive bonus features on a stuffed second disc. Starting out with another introduction from Bird, disc two of the Incredibles gets rolling with a collection of six deleted scenes. Each deleted scene has an introduction from Bird and features a combination of storyboards and half-finished animation. While most scenes are understandably disposable, they provide an interesting look at how the film might have been. Next up is the terrific exclusive Pixar-animated short Jack-Jack Attack, featuring the ultra cute baby of the Incredibles family contending with a babysitter. Also included is the acclaimed Pixar-animated short that played with The Incredibles' theatrical release, Boundin'. An audio commentary track is included for Boundin' by the film's director, Bud Luckey, as well as a short featurette on Luckey and his history in animation. From there, the viewer goes right into the lengthy and compelling "Making the Incredibles" featurette. Covering every single aspect of the film's long and complicated production, this documentary offers a raw and fascinating look at director Brad Bird and what goes into to making a hit family film. Next is a strange nine-minute mini-documentary with Sarah Vowell, who voiced the Incredibles daughter Violet. Vowell spends most of the time talking to the camera about her love for American history and Abraham Lincoln. An unusual highlight comes toward the end when she introduces a Violet action figure to her Lincoln action figure. A section of the DVD titled "Top Secret" finds many more unusual features, like a fictional 1960s-style Mr. Incredible cartoon with an optional hilarious audio commentary by the characters. Also in the "Top Secret" area are secret files on all the lost "supers" seen in the film, with a brilliant audio commentary from each character. Rounding out the disc are a series of bloopers and technical goof-ups from the film, a massive and attractive art gallery, a trailer collection, and a series of well-hidden secret Easter eggs. With all of these fine features, it is clear that this release of The Incredibles on DVD is destined, just like the film itself, to become an instant family classic.

AMAZING TWIST!
on October 29, 2007

This had the biggest twist of all since every little hole was filled and everything and everyone was connected in one way or the other. It's lame that Jigsaw dies in this but they're appenrantly making a Saw IV. Oh well hopefully it will be as good as the others.
What's great about it: Crazier, Bloodier, and Gorier
What's not so great: Jigsaw Dead??????

Barry Sonnenfeld's science fiction-comedy Men in Black comes to DVD with a pair of transfers. The widescreen anamorphic transfer preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1 and is preferable in every way to the standard full-frame image. Closed-captioned English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround, while a French soundtrack has also been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. English, French, Spanish, Cantonese, and Mandarin subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include commentary tracks recorded by Sonnenfeld and the actors and filmmakers, a music video from Will Smith, trailers, a preview for Men in Black 2, production notes, and a making-of documentary. This is a superb disc from Columbia TriStar.

It wasn't that bad of a movie but could've been much better. It was pretty funny in some parts and really enjoyable at the same time.

Alien vs. Predator crashes to Earth in this widescreen edition of 20th Century Fox's long-awaited intergalactic boxing match. With an anamorphic 2.35:1 widescreen image and both 5.1 Dolby and DTS tracks, the look and sound are impressive, offering a fitting presentation of the film's best qualities -- its dark photography and loud soundtrack. Extras on the disc begin with a director and actors commentary featuring Paul W.S. Anderson and his stars Lance Henriksen and Sanaa Lathan. Sadly, even if you stand by the film, you still might be annoyed at the level of praise that gets thrown around throughout the track. From Henriksen waxing Anderson's car every other second to both of them going gaga over the very un-incredible Lathan, the talk feels more like a bubbly love session than anything else. The other commentary comes from visual effects supervisor John Bruno and creature effects designers/creators Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff Jr., and it's informative as to what effects are what, but good for little else. Not only do you have to put up with both sets of effects people competing over credit for certain shots, but there's also a bit of ego-driven babble from Gillis as he continues to hold his mantle as the official Alien actor (this being his third film in the monster's shoes). The rest of the extras begin with an extended version of the film, though don't be expecting the R-rated violent cut of the film, which Anderson was rumored to have been forced to cut down weeks before the release. Instead, you get an extended opening scene of a Predator hunting down an Antarctic colonist in 1904 that is about 90 seconds long -- and that's it. You wonder why they didn't file that just in the deleted scenes section, which isn't too much to call home about in the first place. A 22-minute making-of is also supplied, though even that is basically made up of footage already released on the web before the movie's release. Other than that, only one other feature stands out from the rest of the extras, which include a ridiculous Superbowl spot and other Fox TV trailers, and that is the gallery of Alien vs. Predator comic covers from Dark Horse Comics. With 35 covers inside the gallery, this ode to all of the various mini-series is one of the most comprehensive things on the entire disc, which in a way, sums up this entire release in a sad kind of way.

This was actually not a bad movie but really good. They even explained kind of how it all happened and such. The only down side was the girl who survives at the end, I didn't like her she was too stuck up and a bit of a know-it-all.

One man bent on seeing justice done takes his obsession to the streets in this big-screen adaptation of the popular comic book, which comes to DVD in an enriched edition from Lions Gate. The Punisher has been given a letterboxed transfer to disc in the widescreen aspect ratio of 2.35:1, which is also enhanced for anamorphic playback on 16 x 9 monitors. The audio has been mastered in two formats, Dolby Digital 5.1 EX and Dolby Digital Stereo; the dialogue is in English with optional subtitles in English and Spanish. Bonus materials include an alternate commentary track featuring director Jonathan Hensleigh, two deleted scenes, four short documentaries on various aspects of the production of the film, a music video from the band Drowning Pool, and a preview of a video game tied into the film.

This was one of the coolest marvel movies ever made. It had so much action in it and was exactly like the comics with everything about the same. Even if you never read the comics it's still a great movie that anyone will enjoy. I strongly recommend that anybody buy this movie.
