Honestly if you haven't seen this movie, then you have probably been living under a rock or a doomsday bunker most of your life. This is a timeless classic told through the eyes of Disney. Actually one of my favorites with characters created and brought to life as only Disney can. This movie is now decades old but brought back to life through new technology a whole new generation can enjoy the magic all over again. Definitely one for the collection!!! So bibidi bobidi boo!!! -_^ Cheers

It's the best of how campy the 80's were

So growing up during the 80's we were lucky to live through some of the fun moments in movies before they changed into what they are today. Police Academy was a fun series that just had you laughing with an All Star cast of comedians. The first three featured the original cast including new additions you would see throughout the others which made it very funny and fresh every time. The fact you mixed comedy with a few fun action sequences made the movie pretty simple in that aspect but kept it fun. This series would spawn 7 films all together, keeping some of it's most noticeable characters such as High Tower, Jones (Sound Effects guy), Tackleberry (gun crazy military man), Hooks, Lazard, Mahoney (sp?) , Procter and more. This movie is perfect for those nights you need a simple laugh to make your night. And at the value of getting 4 movies for one low price? Makes this deal is a steal. Just make sure you don't get caught by High Tower, he hates stealing. :P
What's great about it: It's freakin POLICE ACADEMY!!!

Get ready for a strange voyage back to a strangely familiar fantasy land with Disney DVD's release of this belated sequel to The Wizard of Oz. Presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen, the image is clean and nearly flawless. Sporting solid blacks, even skin tones, and little evidence of edge-enhancement, this disc will look great no matter how it's viewed. The Dolby Digital 5.1 remix rings through loud and clear, with no hiss to speak of, offering a great showcase for David Shire's wondrous score. Of course, Return to Oz wasn't exactly a box-office phenomenon when originally released in 1985, but that hasn't stopped Disney from including some interesting extra features. It's great to hear Fairuza Balk recollect her first major role in a candid and easygoing interview, and it's obvious that everyone involved in the production truly believed in the film. In addition to addressing issues of stratospheric audience expectations, Balk also talks about her longtime relationship with director Walter Murch and the grueling audition process she endured to land the coveted role of Dorothy. Though original TV spots and a theatrical trailer are also included, the television spots are in particularly poor shape and appear almost completely desaturated in addition to sporting onscreen timecode.

Definitely a must buy! Classic!

I remember when this movie came out in 1985 actually I was only 5 years old but my mum took me to see this film and instantly I loved it. The characters were different than most were used to but that's what made this movie so special. It was a darker turn into Oz which sets a different life to it that made you wonder more about the place with the yellow brick road. The movie is good for all ages really, and is another great movie that is under appreciated by others. (Much like The Black Cauldron another Disney Favorite) It makes me wish they would transfer this to Blu Ray for in High Def I bet it looks even more amazing. Hands down this movie is perfect for people who truly love movies. It sets a standard for film that rarely anyone uses any because they are all so generic or PC. This reminds me of the times when things weren't as complicated as they are now and movies did exactly what they needed to do and that's capture audiences and make people talk about it.
Again definitely go buy it!
What's great about it: Great movie! The Characters and story take you to a whole new OZ!
What's not so great: Under appreciated
