The long-awaited and much-anticipated next installment of the award-winning The Elder Scrolls franchise is here. Now, the expansive, open world that forever revolutionized the face of the fantasy epic leads you deeper into the combat, the magic and the myth than you've ever been before. This time, you don't just play as a character, you truly become whomever it is you wish to be — and have the freedom to do anything you can possibly imagine. This follow-up to the 2006 Game of the Year, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, offers stunning graphics and a gripping storyline that immerses you in the game from the moment you turn it on. Are you ready to unroll the Scroll and let the journey begin?Imagine rolling clouds, rugged mountains, bustling cities, lush fields and crumbling dungeons. Imagine ancient dragons beholding secrets so powerful they could transform your future. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim immerses you in the engrossing world of the franchise you already know and love with more realism, more choice and more intensity than ever before. Featuring a new game engine that brings every tiny environmental aspect to life in blistering detail and AI that brings you close to your allies — and your enemies — Skyrim blurs the line between your world and that of the game. An all-new character engine opens wider an already vast virtual world, putting every decision, every action and every consequence entirely in your hands as you arm yourself with hundreds of new weapons, abilities and spells. Developed by Bethesda Game Studios, the creators of the 2008 Game of the Year, Fallout 3, this immaculate fifth chapter challenges your skills, immerses your mind and will forever change the way you view gaming. It's time to return. It's time for Skyrim.

Awesome game

If your into deep RPGs this is for you..I hear people saying this is comparable to the Fallout series. I would have to disagree. Skyrim is way better, the random animal and dragon attacks are well organized. The companions you can pick up along the way are a great touch. With multipe ways to travel the world it keeps the game pretty well paced. huge replay value considering character creation freedom and quest options.
There are a few minor gameplay flaws, such as stutters in graphics, and characters sticking in place both npc and main characters. The questing menu could have been more organized considering the amout of quests that are availible. It's very neatly impossible to separate main plot and side quests.
But overal it's an awesome game playing experience, flaws and all. Well worth the purchase
What's great about it: Tons of quests not just a quick romp in the playground
What's not so great: Graphics flaws typical of open world RPGs

i picked up this game expecting to be disappointed, even with all the overly positive reviews. I was surprisingly shocked by the addictive gameplay. it's really a hard to put down title. With a variety of missions to keep you busy. I have to say that way the missions were setup were surprising, they do not seem linear once you complete what seems to be a lengthy tutorial. You are thrust out on your own to complete the story line. Load times between sectors are a bit lengthy but are forgivable due to the amount of time you can spend in one area if you so choose.
Personally i spent 8 or so hrs on the game the first night i played. After that i had to set aside time to play the game, not because missions are long but because it seems easier to complete several missions in a row before turning in to collect your bounty.
What's great about it: This game is as fast paced as you make it.
What's not so great: minor graphics issues

Leaves You Wanting More

Ok so alot of people complain that this is more of the same. if you are a R&C fan you expect a specific art style and game play. This game keeps that While, adding small adjustments to the graphics and tweaking the weapons as always. The space play was a massive improvement from the previous 2 games, and a welcomed change. overall this is a solid piece of entertainment. If you are looking for a funny action packed game this should definitely be on your short list.
What's great about it: Its about the little things
What's not so great: now you gotta wait to see if there will be a new game

Fun Game!!!

I decided i wanted this game when it first came out but waited because i had so many other games i was playing. Well i picked it up to play between Ratchet and Assassins Creed 2 and i don't regret it. The music is loud and crazy and you can change tracks on the fly. Despite its lack of a jump button its pure fun( a jump button would have made this game over the top in terms of game play). The Story was just great it had some great laughs. And the injection of Ozzie Osbourne in his role in the game was hilarious. Don't take this game to serious its great as it is. i smell a sleeper hit in this one. If you love heavy metal or just want a fun hack n' slash or even a not so serious RPG this is a definite buy.
What's great about it: Sound Track, Open World and its just plain fun
What's not so great: Lack of a jump button, and dialogue can get a little repetative
