Over-engineered and hard to use

I just spent over 4 hours fighting with this projector mount and still couldn't get it to work. A $220+ mount should take <20 minutes to install and should be utterly easy to use... and, of course, it should work.
The single worst problem was the "locking" system the mount tried to implement. There are a series of 4 holes on the swivel mount section of the ceiling pieces and 4 pegs on the projector piece. Once the ceiling pieces are installed on the ceiling and the projector piece is installed on the projector, you are to simply insert the pegs into the holes, slide the pegs sideways 1/2 inch and then pull a lever to "lock" it all in place. In theory it sounds great, however, the pegs would not simply slide over, I had to use a hammer to get them to move over. And even once I got them over there, the lever wouldn't "lock". I tried everything I could think of, and I've done this a half-dozen times before with various mounts and projectors. Nothing worked.
Other than that, the threaded drop down pipe was threaded such that the other pieces would not easily screw back off of it. The swivel mount piece would not come off the threaded pipe after I put it on.
As I said, I spent over 4 hours fighting with this mount and never got it to work. I returned it to the store for a full refund, purchased a $100 mount elsewhere and had my projector mounted and working in 20 minutes after I got home.
Don't waste your money on this item, you don't always get what you pay for.
What's great about it: looks, i guess
What's not so great: functionality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
