SynopsisIn the year 2012, the era of the nation-state is drawing to a close. The nations of the future increasingly have turned to private military companies, also known as PMCs, to aid in their defense. These elite mercenaries provide clear benefits to the nations that engage them, but they also tend to take a rather lax view of the law. Even so, the Reykjavik Accords have authorized the PMCs' right to serve in every aspect of military operations. As the PMCs' role is further legitimized and their influence grows, concerns have begun to mount. Have the PMCs been granted too much power? And, if so, what will the consequences be for the world?Tom Clancy's HAWX puts you in the pilot's seat for revolutionary aerial combat action in an all-too-realistic world of the near-future. Engage in intense high-altitude warfare, complete with cutting-edge technology and devastating firepower. Become an elite pilot of the future through use of the game's unique Enhanced Reality System, which provides a incredibly realistic flight experience, including radars and incoming missile detection, weapons trajectory control, an anti-crash system and more. Take the throttle of more than 50 authentic aircraft as you prove your skills in dogfights over war-scarred modern landscapes. In HAWX, you're at the controls for stunningly rendered air combat.

Only flight game I wanted and did no disapointt

The modelling of the planes in this game is absolutely incredible, as is the environement. The control scheme and handleing of the airplanes are the best that I have seen in quite some time. The game lacks the realism of blackouts and fuel consumption and ammo capacity. I think that is ok since I was not looking for a flight simulator and it keeps game play simple and enjoyable for us non-pilot fanatics. The one thing that stoped me from giving it a perfect 5 was the lack of realism in the speed of the planes. Aside from that this is a really good flight action game. I am very happy I got this one.
What's great about it: Graphics, plane controls, choice of planes, environment
What's not so great: speed of planes not reprented during game play at low altitudes.

Well done

Well this is a very good game and I enjoy playing it. I have played the two previous games and enjoyed the both of them and this one seems to be just as good but on a higher level. Unlike fear one the wierd stuff starts happening straight from the begining. The graphics have improved so much from part one, but still don't depend on great graphics to make a good game. The story-line focuses on Alma and lets you know her story which actually gives you insight to what you are fighting. I even felt bad for her at one point. Very good game and if you like fear and fear files you will more than enjoy this latest installment.
What's great about it: The fact that you get to find out alma's story
What's not so great: Nothing I can think of

Great comeback

Lets start with the graphics which are great with the exception of certain modeling. All the characters look great when in fighting mode but on the close up of viper for example her cleavage looks horrible and unrealistic. I know that may not seem like alot but after playing games like soulcalibur and dead or alive one comes to appreciate anatomically correct modeling and admire the human form dipicted well. Sorry but I am a C.G.I. artist and appreciate these games on an artistic level as well as gaming quality. Even the look of ken and ryu are a little wierd but these are new times filled with new ideas. this is in my opinion a great addition to the franchise. as far as game play all I can say is wow, a street fighter with character creation and so man different options for moves. Capcom really pulled out all the stops. Yes I know it is only a 2D game but seriously in those games its always hard to use the ability to move around your opponent to your benefit and in the heat of battle its always in 2D anyway. But yes I know the option is always nice to have. Either way if you like street fighter get the game you'l enjoy it allot.
What's great about it: The old style of play is grand in its simplicity.
What's not so great: The character modeling shoul have been better in some cases

The concept of the weapons are new inovative and fresh. Their delivery in the game was fairly well done but the one thing that I can't get over is the size of the enemy, they look so small from a short distance and yet they are your size. The way the weapons deform the environement is like nothing ever done before but not enuf to carry this game to a top contender spot. At $19.00 though, this game is good enough to get, plus hey 1000 ahievment points.
What's great about it: The weapons concept
What's not so great: the size of the modles are not good or the camera view is bad

If you are an MK fan you have to have this game. The clothing of the characters tear as the fight progresses and the characters bruise. I myself am a street fighter man but I will give props to the creators of this game for a job well done.
What's great about it: The graphics the moves thecontrols and the story
What's not so great: Just a suped up M.K. game

I myself am not into war / first person shooters that take place in eras gone past like the world wars but this game was well done. The engine used in this game is the same used in part 4 I beleive. If you love first person shooters and love the cod series this is a must have.
What's great about it: Same engine and good graphics of cod 4
What's not so great: based in the past world war 2 or so

I have not played it much and the only true complaint that I have are the graphics of the vehicles especialy the tires. the look a little toyish to me. Over all I think it is a very good game but I don't think it improved greatly on number one. Perhaps I was expecting a little more. Don't get me wrong it is a hot game but it had alot to live up with motor storm 1. Don't get me wrong its not that it did not live up to MS1 I just was expecting it to do it with flying colors. I think its a great game but the toyish look of the cars kind of killed it for me a little but the game play is great and so are the selection of vehicles and this time they let you see the performance rating of the vehcles via a star rating system. This was what was lacking in MS1 and helps you to choose the right vehicle. Overall a very good addition to the motorstorm franchise just falls short of being a great one.
What's great about it: The clasic motorstorm style
What's not so great: the vehicle graphics are borderline toy looking

WOW!

This game is most definately better than the first and that is no small feet. I have bought other shooter games that have just came out and none compare to gears except maybe resistance fall of man 2 and an older game call of deuty 4. The graphics are better than one, not by much but noticible. the cover system was really fixed so their is less chance of going from cover to cover when your actualy trying to get out of cover or simply run. the new weapons are incredible and the overall lenth of the game is acceptable and I say that because as a gears fan I did not realy want it to end. I also think that the last boss battle should have been a little more difficult but it was still very hot. And yes I am going for the 2.0 achievment,l 200,000 kills. This a great addition to the gears franchise.
What's great about it: all
What's not so great: online does not have a stand alone mode but that would not go with the game premis

This is way better than part one and I thought part one was fantastic. The graphics are so well done and the city looks more war torn and detailed than Gears of War and I love that game so its not an easy thing to say. They changed the health system to that of the usual shooter where you regain complete health over time wich in this case it goes perfect with the story line unlike the other shooters. The weapons are incredible the AI is well done OH! just go buy the game trust me you won't regret it. OH! and the controls for the game are on point.
