Not as good as I thought it would be.

I was really surprised because I loved the movie but the soundtrack not so much. The most famous song that appears in the movie, "The Way I Are" by Timbaland, wasn't even on there. It does have "Low" by T-Pain and Flo Rida, a song by Missy, and a song by Akon but the rest aren't really worth it. I was excited about hearing some "underground" music that I thought I had liked while watching the movie, but it just wasn't good. It would be better to save some money and buy the songs individually.
What's great about it: a few good songs
What's not so great: lots of poor songs

Alan Parker's 1980 musical drama Fame comes to DVD from Warner Bros. with a widescreen anamorphic transfer. Audio is offered in a remixed English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound track. Also included is a French-dubbed stereo track and subtitles in English, Spanish, and French. Director Alan Parker provides a feature-length audio-commentary track. Cast members Lee Curreri, Lauren Dean, Gene Anthony Ray, and Maureen Teefy offer commentary in video segments which can be accessed in the branching video feature. The disc also includes the making-of documentaries "On Location With Fame" and "Fame Field Trip," as well as production notes and theatrical trailers. Overall, this is a fairly decent DVD release of a Oscar-winning film.

Classic! One of my favorite movies!

This is THE movie if you've ever attended a Performing Arts High School or if you're into dance, theater, music, and acting!!! This was my mom's favorite movie when she was younger and now it's mine - I didn't even know it was hers! Haha. Life is just like in the movie. It's rough when you want to be a star! So much competition plus you've got your own issues to deal with. The actors in here are amazing. Of course, everyone knows Irene Cara's songs "Fame" and "Out Here On My Own". Who will ever forget the kids dancing on taxi cabs in the middle of NYC? I can't wait for the new FAME to come out, it better live up and be as good as this one!!!
What's great about it: the music, the acting
What's not so great: not for young kids

The hit teen comedy Mean Girls debuts on DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the film's original theatrical aspect ratio. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, while a second English soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. English and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by director Mark Waters, screenwriter Tina Fey, and producer Lorne Michaels. They provide many humorous moments during their discussion, which is dominated by the director and the screenwriter. They are full of praise for the cast. Deleted scenes with optional commentary by Waters and Fey, a blooper reel, three making-of featurettes, and the film's original theatrical trailer round out this release. This is a solid release from Paramount.

This movie is the Clueless for the new generation. It's creative and hillarious. It will literally make you laugh out loud. The movie's well known with teenagers and young adults - I know TONS of people who can quote the whole thing. Memorable lines and new phrases, such as "That's so fetch." It's also Lindsay Lohan's last "big hit" movie! I love this movie.

This three-disc set contains all 22 episodes from the Emmy Award-winning first season of the situation comedy Arrested Development. Each is presented in an anamorphic widescreen transfer that preserves the original broadcast aspect ratio of 1.78:1. English soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. English, Spanish, and French subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include three commentary tracks recorded by series creator Mitchell Hurwitz. He is joined by many of the cast members on one of those commentary tracks. Deleted scenes, original songs by David Schwartz, and footage from a panel discussion on the show held at the Museum of Television & Radio round out this excellent collection from 20th Century Fox.

You've got to see it if you haven't!!!

I hadn't even heard of this show until my friend got me this box set - can you believe that!? It's so under appreciated - probably just because it's not advertised everywhere. It's one of the funniest shows I've ever seen, yet touching at the same time. The characters are brilliant. This show won 5 Emmy Awards and was nominated for 15 more. It won several other awards including a spot in a "Greatest Shows Of All Time". And I had STILL never heard of it. I also think Arrested Development was what boosted Michael Cera's career too. Jason Bateman is fantastic in it too. This show is so hillarious! I thought my dorm roommate was going to tell me to be quiet from laughing out loud so much, but instead she found it funny too!

Thiis movie is fantastic. At first, for me it was one of those movies where you don't really pay attention to the trailer. A "wait until it comes out on DVD" movie. But then I saw it and it was great! It's so witty and hillarious! You'll fall in love with the characters (Master Ooogway is my favorite). It has a famous cast including Angelina Jolie and Jack Black as the main character. They're such great actors that you don't even link the character to them, which I was worried about. The animation is perfect and the plot is extremely creative. I can watch this movie over and over - it's become one of my favorites!
What's great about it: everything
What's not so great: nothing

LOVE THIS MOVIE!

I saw this the first moment it came out to theaters and bought it the first moment it came out on DVD! The plot was extremely smart, seeing as how it's hard to create a TMNT storyline while sticking true to the characters and their background. The animation was great - Imagi Studios did a nice job. Mikey is hillarious as always and there's an amazing fight scene between Raph and Leo. It's a great movie for kids AND for adults who love TMNT.

Probably the best movie so far!

It's ironic - I stopped reading the series during the 5th book but the 5th film turned out to be my favorite movie! David Yates is a fantastic director. The cinematography is beautiful and the plot is great too. My favorite character, Luna Lovegood, makes her first appearance and the twins, Fred and George, have a spectaculer action scene! Just as my love for Harry Potter seemed like it was fading, this movie came out and hyper it back up! It stays true to the book as much as it can. Not to mention, Order of the Phoenix is #7 in the WORLD WIDE box office of ALL TIME. That's impressive.

Brace yourself for a new set of tricks, tracks and ways to race. The included Wii Wheel transforms your Wii Remote into a steering wheel that feels great in your hands, while the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller supply a classic control style for veterans of this racing series. Either way, you'll be able to perform impressive speed-boosting tricks, such as jumps, flips and wheelies. You can zip through brand-new tracks and arenas, and also tour classic courses from Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario Kart: Double Dash and Mario Kart DS. There are even options for trying all-new motorbikes that have their own special tricks and techniques. The action gets fast, furious and funny when you race in Mario Kart Wii.

I kept hearing how great Mario Kart for the Wii was, so I finally played it. It lives up to the rumors! I thought it was going to be ridiculous to play with the cordless steering wheels but it was just fine! I enjoyed all the new courses and new characters! Everyone loves Mario Kart, old school version or new futuristic version. I've noticed it's a great way to bring the family together - friends too! It's so much fun!
What's great about it: Advanced everything but still good old Mario Kart.
What's not so great: Nothing I can think of.

Cowabunga! One of the best box sets.

I grew up with these movies! The first and third are good, but the second one is the best. Each movie has a different director and each one is still perfect. Hillarious and intelligent scripts with awesome martial arts scenes. Not to mention, the soundtracks are GREAT! I was so excited when they finally came out to DVD. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't much extra footage. I would've liked to see how the movies were filmed or meet the actors - but you know, these movies were made quite a while back. About five other people on my dorm floor have this very same box set. It's a must for any TMNT fan.
What's great about it: amazing movies
What's not so great: no behind the scenes
