BEST MOVIE EVER
on October 18, 2007
Posted by: janie
I absolutely adore this movie! I was smiling from the moment it started until the ending credits. It starts out with a great song sung by our main character, Tracy Turnblad (Nikki Blonsky). She does a great job and so do the other actors in this production- ELijah Kelly, John Travolta(in drag), Michelle Pfeiffer, Amanda Bynes and Christopher Walken. One of my favorites was John Travolta, because it was just so funny to see him play Tracy's large mother. I hope that you enjoy this movie just as much as I did, and still do. Order now!!
What's great about it: great music and colors, nice moral, funny
What's not so great: NONE!!

Package Description: Move it! Move it! for Madagascar, the #1 Family Comedy of the Year, from the studio that brought you Shrek and Shark Tale. When four pampered animals from New York's Central Park Zoo accidentally find themselves shipwrecked on the exotic island of Madagascar, they discover it really IS a jungle out there! Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, and Jada Pinkett Smith headline an all-star cast of hilarious animals, including a quartet of mischievous penguins and legions of lemurs, led by the outrageous King Julien. Madagascar is a roaring good family film that you'll go wild for again and again! Plus! Before the mission to Madagascar, those zany Penguins stirred up some holiday spirit back at the zoo. Check out the "cute and cuddly" foursome starring in their very own whacked-out film, A Christmas Caper!

This is a very funny movie and I thought the creators did an excellent job. Anyone at any age can watch this movie and enjoy it. It's a funny cartoon movie about zoo animals living in NYC, find themselves stuck in Madagascar. We see all their hilarious troubles on this wild island and get a good laugh pretty often. I'd definately recommend this movie.
What's great about it: funny, PG rated, kids and adults love it

Directed by Garry Marshall, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement picks up where its predecessor left off -- that is, with American teenager Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway) reeling over the news that she is a princess within the royal family of Genovia, a little-known European nation with a population of barely 50,000. As promised, Mia, along with her best friend, Lily (Heather Matarazzo), travels to Genovia after their high-school graduation. The unlikely princess has hardly settled into the castle, let alone begun representing the country, when she learns that a larger title is approaching more rapidly than expected; it seems as though Mia will have to take over as queen. Suddenly, in addition to further schooling on the etiquette of royalty, Mia finds herself with a daunting prospect -- according to Genovian law, all princesses must be married before they can be crowned. In addition to Julie Andrews' reprisal of her role as Queen Clarisse Renaldi, The Princess Diaries 2 also features Hector Elizondo and John Rhys-Davies in supporting roles. Though Princess Diaries author Meg Cabot did pen a sequel (The Princess Diaries: Princess in the Spotlight), this film is not an adaptation.

Eh...its okay
on October 16, 2007

This is an okay movie, but definately a disappointment after the first Princess Diaries. It's not as funny or original. Also Mia (Anne Hathaway) isn't as much of a "good girl" as we'd all hope she'd be. Her decisions frustrated me therefore making the movie less enjoyable. I'd say if you have nothing better to watch, this is an okay movie to pass the time.
What's great about it: funny-ish, cute
What's not so great: its a sequel and those are never quite as good as the first

The hit comedy The Princess Diaries gets the royal treatment in this special two-disc DVD release. The Princess Diaries appears in two transfers, a widescreen version letterboxed in the aspect ratio of 1.85:1 (and enhanced for anamorphic playback on 16 x 9 monitors), and a full-screen transfer pan-and-scanned to the 1.33:1 ratio. The audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital 5.1, and viewers may choose between the original English-language audio and a dubbed track in French. Optional subtitles in English, French, and Spanish are also included. The disc which features the letterboxed transfer of the film also includes two alternate commentary tracks, one featuring leading ladies Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway, and the other with director Garry Marshall. Other bonus materials on the widescreen disc include a collection of trailers for other Walt Disney Home Entertainment releases, a look at the making of the movie, a preview of the sequel The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement , outtakes and bloopers, and more. The full-screen disc includes a different set of extras, including eight deleted scenes (with introduction from director Marshall), and music videos for the songs "Supergirl" by Krystal Harris and "Miracles Happen" by Myra.

Great Movie
on October 16, 2007

Princess Diaries is a great movie. It stars Anne Hathaway, (who does an excellent job at her role) as this dorky and clumsy teenager in high school. She's often "invisible" to other students, but get's through eveything with her bff at her side. But even though she had many awkward moments throughout her life, she could never imagine anything more crazy. Until her grandmother (JULIE ANDREWS!!), comes and tells her she's a princess. This is a hilarious film that takes us through her princess training and everyday teenage problems in a funny way. Hope you go and see it! It's a great movie, people of all ages should definately enjoy it!
What's great about it: funny, cute, G rated so its perfect for kids

Pop singer Mandy Moore stars in her first feature film, an adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' young love tearjerker, A Walk to Remember. The film is presented in its original anamorphic widescreen 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. Both English and French soundtrack options are available, along with English, French, and Spanish subtitles. Special features include two feature-length commentaries. The first is an amusing commentary by Shane West, Mandy Moore, and director Adam Shankman. The trio discusses cut material and gives entertaining insight into filming the movie in Dawson's Creek territory. The second commentary is a more serious narration by novelist Sparks and screenwriter Karen Janszen who talk about the differences between the book and the movie and the film's overall themes. Moore's "Cry" music video is included with the film's theatrical trailer and cast and crew filmographies. After listening to the first commentary, it becomes obvious that outtakes and deleted scenes should have been added to the disc, as they would've been a great addition to this too-sparse package.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE
on October 16, 2007

I absolutely love this movie. It has a great storyline that is so creative and sweet. It's definately my favorite chick flick and is ranked pretty high on my list of favorite movies. It's all about the pastor's daughter(Mandy Moore) who has cancer. She's an outcast in her school, and eventually the most popular guy in school falls in love with her beautiful soul. After falling in love with her, his heart is stolen because she dies. It was really, really sad. But still an amazing movie.
What's great about it: amazing movie, cute, so sweet
What's not so great: its sad at the end =[[

When brothers and fellow FBI agents Marcus (Marlon Wayans) and Kevin Copeland (Shawn Wayans) accidentally ruin an otherwise painstakingly executed drug bust, getting back into the good graces of their boss becomes a high-priority assignment in itself. With this in mind, Marcus and Kevin take on a case far beneath their usual standards when they agree to escort socialite sisters Brittany (Maitland Ward) and Tiffany Wilton (Anne Dudek) from a private terminal at JFK Airport to their hotel room in the Hamptons. Once there, two considerably higher-ranking agents will take over the girls' protection. The extra security is no mere perk of wealth, however, as it appears that Brittany and Tiffany have been targeted by a serial kidnapper. The FBI hopes to apprehend the perpetrator by using the girls as bait, unbeknownst to them. The plan may have worked if it weren't for Kevin and Marcus, who manage to let the sisters in on the secret. Understandably, neither of them want any part in the process, so they force the brothers to come up with a radical solution: With the help of an FBI lab scientist, the very much African-American Kevin and Marcus will be transformed into two white women who could pass for Brittany and Tiffany. The agents must keep the charade up long enough to lure the kidnapper, but fooling everyone involved will be the job of their lives. Directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans, White Chicks also features James King and Lochlyn Munro.

I am a huge fan of Monk, and if you have never seen this show before I would highly recommend it. It is very entertaining and also intriguing. When I'm watching Monk I'll be trying to solve the mystery, laughing because of Monk's OCD, and also getting goosebumps because of what's happening. I absolutely love Monk and hope that you will understand. I highly recommend that you get this.

Fun for kids
on October 8, 2007

If you're looking for a great gift for a little boy(ages 5-9) then this is probably one of the best E-rated games out there. Both of my little brothers, ages 6 and 9 both absolutely love this game and have spent much of their time playing it. All of their friends look forward to playing it at their house too. Even though it's great to find an E-rated game that everyone enjoys, this can be a problem too. A lot of times my brothers have spent too much time playing the game. So if you want to keep your kids happy and healthy, I would give them a designated amount of time to play, and then push them outside and have them play Star Wars with their friends. Hope this was helpful!
What's great about it: Fun Game, STAR WARS!!, rated E
What's not so great: kids get a bit obsessed, time taker

Good CD.

I thought that this was a good CD. Paula DeAnda is a good singer and has shown us that through this cd. Her lyrics were good and the tunes were catchy too. My favorite song would definately have to be Walk Away(Remember Me) because it is just such a good song. But I did like the other songs too, especially the first three songs. I would recommend this CD to a friend, especially if they like this kind of style of music. Go ahead and buy it, it's definately worth your money.
