game of the year contender

this game has lived up to the hype so far.. such a massive game is so impressive words really do not give justice... this is a must buy. the graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is fun.. good pace.. some may be turned off by the complicated start of the game.. its not linear and some may not be willing to invest the time it can take to get going.. there are hints of oblivion but these are merely subtle and it does not feel at all like its predecessor.. there is sooo much dialogue.. you can tell some work went into this masterpiece! choose your own path! the weapons are sweet, a new targeting system allows you to pick where you want to inflict damage.. that part doesnt get old.. pick up the strategy guide to get started out strong
What's great about it: graphics, gameplay, story, weapons
What's not so great: may be overwhelming to casual gaming crowd, 1 player
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amid the post-war boom of Hollywood's Golden Age, newly minted detective Cole Phelps is thrown headfirst into a city drowning in violence and corruption. Utilizing groundbreaking new technology that captures an actor's facial performance in astonishing detail, L.A. Noire is a violent crime thriller that blends breathtaking action with true detective work to deliver an unprecedented interactive experience. Interrogate witnesses, search for clues and chase down suspects as you struggle to find the truth in a city where everyone has something to hide.Against an overarching plot of violence and betrayal, L.A. Noire challenges players to solve a series of self-contained cases as they work their way through the ranks of the LAPD. Each case features a distinct storyline with a beginning, middle and end, and each successfully solved case brings new challenges and leads Cole closer to the true story at the dark heart of the Los Angeles criminal underworld.

Very disappointed! Way too slow paced!
By ninfan78 from Chicago, IL
I have been looking forward to this game since last year and was counting down the days until I can feel the excitement of working as an LA detective back in the 40s. Let me just tell you right off the bat that I wasnt expecting this to be a 40s version of GTA or Red Dead Redemption but with it still being an Open World game, I thought it would have some similarities. The first few missions were really fun and I was so stunned by the amazing graphics and how cool it was collecting all the clues. After about a half hour, I got bored so quick. The gameplay was soooooo slow and even just 15 minutes in, it was feeling repetitive. The concept was cool but I mean seriously, how much fun is it playing for hours where all you do is walk around, look for clues, ask witnesses questions, find more clues, ask more questions, solve case, then go to the next case where...guess what...its finding more clues, asking questions, blah blah blah.
The game isnt really challenging either. Dossnt make you really think at all other than just finding right info by process of elimination.
Incase your wondering what you cant do as compared to other Rockstar games, You cant just kill anyone. Cant even pull out your gun unless someone pulls one on you. Cant even run over pedestrians in car, If you crash into someone, nothing happens, and no multiplayer.
All in all, If you like action and atleast some action, DO NOT buy this game. If you wanna really mellow experience and love just solving crimes, then maybe its for you.

nobody should miss this game, if you have problems paying attention or suffer from medical conditions such as adhd or if you have to be constantly shooting at people then may want to pass though :)

SynopsisFor decades, one name has defined NFL gaming and authentic football immersion. Rich with the strategy, emotion and raw aggression that encapsulates the NFL, that name is Madden. No matter what colors they paint their faces on game day, all of the fans know where to turn for intricate playbooks, accurately rendered players, intense rivalry matchups and everything else they see on Sunday. Lower your shoulder and prepare to experience bone-crunching hits, the scramble for a loose ball and the pulse-pounding rush of fighting for every yard. Feel the inexplicable high of bursting through the line for a 40-yard dash, or intercepting a pass before it gets to the star receiver. Get ready to immerse yourself in the exciting NFL action when you step under center in Madden NFL 12, and experience the grit and immediacy that you've come to expect from this revolutionary series. Now, lace up for a new season and prove that your team can rise to gridiron glory in Madden NFL 12.Break the huddle with purpose, read the field at the line of scrimmage and dominate your opponents as you get ready for a gritty, uncompromising pro football experience that's better than ever. Get closer to NFL action than ever before in the latest, most game-authentic Madden yet. Boasting a completely overhauled presentation, including 32 NFL team-specific run outs with cheerleaders and mascots, more than 500 dynamic broadcast cameras that are authentic to each stadium, on-field cameras shot by expert NFL Films cameramen and a new network-inspired broadcast graphics package, Madden NFL 12 lets you experience game day like never before. Maintain full control of players up to the point of impact and feel the most realistic hits in franchise history with the all-new Collision System which uses a player's momentum and more than 100 tackle animations, including gang tackles, to deliver authentic hits, tackles and collisions. Prepare for the smartest Madden defense ever that features more than 100 defensive AI enhancements allowing players to read and react to plays on the fly. Know your players and their roles on the field as you prepare for the fourth quarter. The all-new Dynamic Player Performance shows that no player's performance is the same at the end of the game as it is at kickoff. Players can become indispensable after stringing together a series of big plays or completely lose their confidence after a dropped pass or fumble. With all 32 NFL teams, stadiums and your favorite players, Madden NFL 12 is true to the game.

very concerned(demo impressions)
By kcmogamer from kc mo
my initial impressions of the madden demo are that we have a problem... where are the fans>? honestly football fans make up a big part of what football is all about, during the games i played, there was not one time that the camera turned to show any fans cheering, the only thing that i thought was better presentation wise was intros for team, they added a mascot for the first 10 seconds of a game, you wont see them again during the game, i feel that the gameplay is solid, but the crowd cheers are very tame, no player chatter on line, no random screaming fans, basicly the demo was very robotic, i didnt feel involved in the game like i wanted to , at this point, asking for bells and whistles when it comes to basic presentation is far from asking too much, so we have another year , another round of asking for $60 for a game, being a chiefs fan, i am expecting the game to show people bbq tailgating before the game, i expect the chief riding the horse, etc. with so little time to make any changes like i am expecting, it leaves me concerned and wanting more, football is about so much more than just the players, its about atmosphere, and its supposed to be an experience, i will be hoping for a surprise come august 30th, but im not getting hopes up

killing the messenger
August 19, 2011
well as it turns out the demo actually is pretty much how its going to be(major sigh), players dont even celebrate huge TDs... epic fail..sorry but raising the bar each year and making the experience more enjoyable is supposed to be an expectation... and the idea is bashed on? if you want to skip epic presentation in the beginning of a game, hit A button and skip it, im just advising the overall engagement in this game will fail, wait and see, NCAA developers so far have shamed Madden 12 which is such a disappointment considering the professional version should be cared for so much better, supposed to be a football simulation, gameplay is fine, work on something else at this point

Can I exchange Project Gotham Racing 4?

I bought the messenger kit that came with a new headset, chatpad, 12 months of xbox live gold, and a new game of Project Gotham Racing 4. I already redeemed the code for the Live and I am using the headset and chatpad. I have NOT opened the game yet. I don't want to play PGR4 and I was wondering, can I exchange it for a different game?
i dont think so.. ur only option is to trade in the game for store credit in which you recieve close to nothing or sell it on ebay.. i think brand new the game is already cheap.. you should keep it!
