Innovative, Great Sounding & Noise Canceling!

What is the first job of a good set of headphones? They need to sound great…these do and then some.
The latest Bluetooth 5.0 interface, a companion app that allows customization, between 8-10 hours of listening time (on the lower end of you use the ANC feature) and easy charging with the included cable.
Pairing is easy, and the BackBeat App allows you to activate ANC or deactivate it, you can also customize the sound with two EQ settings called Bass and Bright. The bright setting has just the right amount of bass and treble for a great sound in my opinion, the bass setting is for those who prefer that much more bass. Both sound great.
ANC is good, not on par with over the ear headphones but it works great for in ear headphones.

Calls are clear, and the caller had no trouble hearing me and vice versa, probably a lot to do with Plantronics starting out as a phone headset company and easy Inline controls allow you to activate your phones voice assistant, adjust volume, adjust ANC, skip tracks etc.
The real innovative feature is there are “Smart Magnets” in each earphone that when connected together put the headphones into a hibernation mode that turns off ANC and the connection to conserve battery life…very convenient.

Just short of what Im looking for

First off, I really wanted to love these, the case is cool, the earbuds look great and it has Qi charging, what’s not to like?
First and foremost, earphones need to sound great, these fell short in my opinion, perhaps when compared to others in this price point they do well but I was not too thrilled with their bass performance.
They are of high-quality construction, pair easily (after having the earbuds pair with each other) and the case charges the earbuds with the included USB-C cord or placing the case on the included Qi Charge mat which is a great feature in my opinion.
I couldn’t figure out how they are supposed to best go in my ear and I couldn’t figure out how to change out the earbud tips (and I am no neophyte when it comes to earbuds etc) and there is no place online or in the manual that I could find that speaks to how to do these.
They have the latest Bluetooth 5.0 interface and the range, charging time etc are great. They are also water resistant but not water proof. I experienced just over 3 hours use on a charge so that’s as advertised.
There is a companion App you can download that shows battery life etc and it has a few preprogrammed EQ settings in it. You can choose various areas on the frequency scale, but it doesn’t look like anything is customizable, you have to stick with the preprogrammed profiles. Perhaps if they allow the EQ to be customized, Id be able to get the sound to my liking as the “Bass Booster” profile they include falls short of how I like my sound or maybe I just don’t have the earbuds in my ears properly, but I tried every which way.
These are OK, just not great.

Fantastic Video editor with AI added in...

All of the features that you look for in a video editor with some cool Artificial Intelligence added in.
If you take lots of videos (and who doesn’t these days) this program will help you edit them to become visual masterpieces. The Home screen allows all functions to be at your fingertips so there is no need to hunt for features etc.
One of the coolest features is Adobe Sensei, Adobes AI can auto generate (by scanning your content for photos and extracting them) photo and video collages that you can tweak the to your liking before finalizing. I had the luck that all the content that was produced with this feature so far for me has been great and they are easy to share on social media etc.
Quick Edit (which uses Adobe Sensei) is a great feature that has a couple of guided edits that help you make any footage look great with easy trimming features that make creating content easy.
There are also interesting effects and transitions to help you customize scene changes, the look and mood of your video etc.
Overall I’d recommend getting this great video editor.

Great Multi Function...just short of perfect

If you have a small office or home office and need something with print, scan and copy capabilities with WiFi connectivity then this is your machine. Tons of paper in the tray? Yes...250 sheets. Multi page scanning? Yes..up to 50 page in the document feeder. Speed? Prints VERY quickly. WiFi printing? Yes...works flawlessly from tablets, cellphones and PC’s within your network. Easily available toner? Yes...and it includes a drum that can print up to 12,000 pages!
Also available in App stores is the Brother iPrint & Scan that allows you to check toner level, preview any scans etc which works great.
The thing that makes this just short of perfect is, if you also need something with fax capabilities then you are out of luck as that’s the one thing this lacks.
Perhaps it’s a sign of the times as I can’t remember the last time I sent or received a fax (have done so from apps but not on my fax in a while) but if you definitely need a physical fax as well then this isn’t for you.
Conclusion: Speedy, high quality non color printing, copying and scanning at a great value.

Great 4K TV on a budget

OK… when first getting this TV I didn’t expect much..Man was I wrong...from the feature set to the picture quality to the build quality it ticked many of the boxes for a great price. It really wasn’t that long ago that TV’s of this size with 4K etc would be exponentially more money than this set will cost you...way to go progress!
As it’s an Amazon Fire TV, there are many smart features built in to the TV including voice control so there is obviously software to run all this. When taking the TV out of the box and mounting and or installing on a stand you will need to go through the usual electronic software upgrade process to bring the TV up to current specs, which while is a necessary evil I did find somewhat annoying when I first set the TV up as all I wanted to do was start using it and maybe update later. I had to let the process run for a bit and then I was on my way.
The 4K pic while only at a 60hz refresh rate (which I personally prefer to avoid the video “soap opera” effect of sets with a 120 or 240hz option) is adequate and motion blur isn’t that noticeable. Colors look great, sharpness is on point and there are enough HDMI connections to allow you to make this the centerpiece of your entertainment. There is also ARC HDMI capability for ease in getting sound to a sound bar or other audio system, and even a digital out to give you a couple of choices on how to augment sound.
There are on board speakers that sound ok and there is EQ adjustment capability to tailor the sound to your liking so if you use only the TV speakers they will do an adequate job for you. I personally never use on board speakers and have hooked this TV to a sound bar.
Getting back to the thing that differentiates this TV from others is the built in Amazon Fire TV capabilities and the Alexa voice control. Using these features is seamless and it just works, from watching Amazon Prime content to launching Netflix using these features is easy. Not to mention that you can do all this with the included voice remote that will launch Alexa, always at the ready to help…you can even ask Alexa to “switch to HDMI 2” and the TV will change inputs…pretty cool.
In conclusion, you cant beat the value proposition of this TV…4K Pic, pretty good on board speakers, multiple inputs and Amazon Fire / Voice capabilities.

Fantastic music to your ears...

If you are looking for fantastic sounding True Wireless Earphones then the M&D MW07’s should be your go to set.
First off, the packaging is top notch and shows the attention to detail that Master & Dynamic puts into their products.
Included in the box is everything you will need including various sizes of typical ear tips and two of something M&D calls “Fit Wings”. The charging case is a gorgeous shiny chrome like case that acts as a storage and charging case at the same time. I liked the finish so much that I protected it with an application of a ceramic coating used to protect automotive paint.
My set of MW07’s came fully charged from the factory so it was great that I didn’t have to charge them and I could get to using them ASAP. The first time taking them out of the charging case they go into pairing mode and paired quickly and easily with my iPhone Xs.
The ear tips go into your ear canal and the Fit Wings help secure the earphones in your ear underneath your ear ridge. I switched out the ear tips that were installed at the factory for the bigger size ear tips and also swapped to put the larger fit wings on the ear phones (as my ears are on the larger side).
When putting them in my ear and walking around etc these are some of the most secure earphones I have had and I don’t feel they will fall out in the least.
The charging case uses a USB C port and M&D have included a cable and typical USB adapter if you don’t have a USB C charger or computer with a USB C port. M&D claims charging case will give you 3 additional charges from your initial charge (which will last about 3.5 hrs providing all was fully charged to begin with) for a total of about 14 hours of playtime. My real world experience matched up with the 3.5 hrs of use (actually just a tad more) so the MW07’s will be more than sufficient for a full days worth of use.
Now to the music.
In a word...spectacular!
M&D uses Beryllium drivers that give the crispest highs and the tightest bass I have heard so far on true wireless earphones. From the left earphone you can control volume up and down and from the right earphone the multifunction button allows you to pause, skip forward or back and to activate your phones voice control. When I used them for a couple of phone calls I could hear the calls perfectly and the folks on the other end heard me fine as well. I do like that the call audio is in both ears as I have had other earphones that only had the caller in one ear which I didn’t like.
From the beautiful case and earphone design to fully enveloping sound and ease of charging and use I couldn’t recommend these more, just get them, you won’t be disappointed.

So, I’m not new to pressure cookers but certainly new to an air fryer. I was pretty excited to see both in one with the Foodi.
This is a BIG piece of machinery so you definitely need a nice bit of counter space to use the Foodi.
There is a book of recipes included that seem to be tailor made to take advantage of the pressure cooking and air frying combined technology which is helpful. The Foodi can pressure cook, steam, slow cook, air fry, bake and broil.
It’s all no good if the food doesn’t come out tasty.
The Foodi doesn’t disappoint.
The first dish I made was one of the first recipes in the book the Teriyaki Chicken, Broccoli & Rice. It was pretty easy to make putting rice etc in the bottom with the chicken breasts on top on the included rack then pressure cooking, afterwards adding in the broccoli and teriyaki then broiling and it was done.
Very quick and fairly easy dish that utilized the two technologies perfectly. My wife and daughter loved the dish and I liked the ease of prep.
Overall the Foodi is well built with a great information input & display that tells you how much time is left etc.
I’m looking forward to using the Ninja Foodi especially this winter when I can make some quick and tasty meals for my family.

I’m somewhat of a Bluetooth headphone nut and ease of use, battery life and most importantly sound quality are very important to me. Equally important is feeling secure when you are wearing the headphones in your ears, not having to worry if they will fall out, not worrying about having to be careful etc. Battery life is also key and if you get all this along with water and sweat proof features, you have yourself a home run set of headphones. All this is present in the X4’s. Fitment options give you the ability to wear them over or under the ear and the various foam tip sizes included insure you have a secure, noise limiting fit in your ear. The X4’s are very comfortable and aren’t fatiguing wearing them for long periods of time. EQ is customizable with the app and they sound great. The only complaint I have and it’s a minor one is how they charge. Rather than having a micro usb on the headphones they charge by putting them on a proprietary connector that plugs into any usb charger, your pc etc to recharge. They charge quickly and it works well but I’m just afraid I might lose it then have an issue replacing it. They probably made this choice to save real estate on the headphones but I don’t like it. Despite that I still gave them 5 Stars...these are a great set of headphones and I would recommend them!

Enveloping high quality sound in a small package

There are many Bluetooth speakers on the market today that claim great sound. I am here to tell you they all don’t live up to the hype. The Megaboom 3 lives up to Ultimate Ears’ claims and then some. Pairing is seamless, battery life is 20+ hrs, it’s waterproof, drop proof and gives high quality 360 degree sound with customizable bass and treble to truly bring music to your ears. They have done a fantastic job with this speaker and you can see the quality built in from the exterior cloth cover to the buttons and really the whole package.
The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars and only 4...(I’d actually say it should be 4.5 stars but I can’t give it 4.5 stars) is due to the fact it lacks one feature that I feel should be included and that is the ability to use the speaker on phone calls as a speakerphone. If it had that this would be the perfect Bluetooth speaker. Otherwise it’s pretty close.

Precious memory saver...

We all have those boxes somewhere in the house whether they are in the attic, basement or some closet, that are filled with old photos of our friends and family. Maybe once a year if we are lucky someone digs them out and we look at the albums or loose photos and then put them away for the next time someone feels like lugging them out.

All you need to do is scan your photos in the 680W and you will be able to save, edit and share all of those photos. You can even scan both sides at the same time (of a document or picture with writing on the back etc) Depending upo the quality setting you can scan a photo EACH SECOND, which is amazing.
Sharing is easy via Dropbox or Google Drive or certainly via email or social media.
I am so excited to preserve my familys legacy in digital form for generations to be able to access.

Is there a way to download the software not by CD? My computer is an an ultrabook and doesn’t have a CD/DVD drive.
You can just add the printer in your printer settings via WiFi, I did not have to use the CD to load any drivers.

I want to use HUE lights with this. Can I buy a 2nd Google Home for my 2nd floor so both floors can access Home to turn off/on lights? If my phone (synced to Home) is out of the house, will voice activation still work for the lights?
This will work with Hue, you should be able to have multiple units in your house and they will work without the phone that is linked to them in the house.

Yes it can work with both Android and Apple devices.
