Awesome smart bulb, does It really kill bacteria?
on October 31, 2021
Posted by: xKing
from Frisco, TX
LiFX is the best smart bulb that is available on the market right now. Awesome and easy to use app, out of the box integration with Apple HomeKit, Google Home and Alexa, ability to control the bulb locally (via local network, with no internet access), easy install (if you have an iPhone - you don't even need a LiFX app - just turn the bulb on, go to your phone wifi settings - bulb will show up there all ready to be setup) - all this makes LiFX a market leader, add a very good color reproduction and 1100 Lumen brightness - you have the best choice! No hub is required either, bulbs connect to 2.4 GHz WiFi on their own. I love LiFX bulbs and use a ton in my home.
However - this bulb says it can help fight bacteria. Not viruses (so it won't help with COVID-19), just the bacteria.
UV light is the most common, proven and effective way to kill unwanted organisms, Sun light has some UV in it! However UV is harmful for humans and animals, that's why it's generally recommended that room with UV light in it is not occupied for the cleaning time. This is not ideal for the home use. LiFX decided to come up with an alternative - HEV (High Intensity Visible) light. It's not harmful for humans nor pets, but it's not recommended to get exposed to either.
The idea of this bulb is easy - just use it in your desk lamp or let's say your kitchen island lights as a normal bulb, but switch it into "Clean" mode when room is not occupied (like at night). It will glow blue and supposedly kill harmful bacteria. Is it efficient in doing this? Studies I was able to find (all links below) demonstrate that yes, however bulb has to be within 4 feet from the surface and run for 12 hours to get rid of the 98% of bacteria on the surface. Running for 8 hours will reduce the efficacy to 90%.

Perfect for neon tube art
on October 31, 2021
Posted by: xKing
from Frisco, TX
It's an unusual LED strip, it's main purpose is to be made into some sort of "neon tube" form :) You can certainly use it as a regular RGB strip of course, but It's main purpose is to be bent into some kind of a fun shape. Hardware and 4 templates are included with the kit but you are only limited by your imagination. I've used one of the included templates and a project board to make a mockup to see if I like it or not. As soon as your shape is complete - head over to the app and make it glow! App comes with a bunch of pre-programmed effects and ability to download more effects from the Twinkly "store". Setup and remote control is very easy using the app. I think there is also a Python language library that can control Twinkly lights so home automation enthusiasts are covered as well!
What I did not like is that LED strip, controller and power brick are all hardwired together, which means if any part is damaged like a power brick - you have to replace the whole set. You can't add more LEDs to the strip nor cut the strip to your liking, all you can change is the shape of it.

The best action cam yet!
on September 25, 2021
Posted by: xKing
from Frisco, TX
GoPro is a go-to brand if you need an action cam, being a 10th generation of their Hero line - this is the best one to get at the moment!
If you have prior GoPro experience and especially GoPro 9 - this update brings a better processor (named GP2) that allows better (double) frame rates (120Hz at 4k and 240Hz at 2.7k), ability to download material from the camera using USB-C cable and much better stabilization. User intercase if way more responsive as well now!
Most of your GoPro 9 compatible accessories will work with 10 as well, with one caveat (which is supposed to be resolved some time in November 2021) - Max Lens Mod - at the moment of writing of this review (September 2021) - it's not YET compatible with 10. Mounting adapter is absolutely the same as on any GoPro so any existing mounting accessory works flawless.
If you just getting into action cam world - take a good look at available "bundles", this exact kit is just a bare minimum (camera, 1 battery, 1 curved sticky mount, storage case), however there are kits that include mounts (GoPro shorty for example) which would work better for the beginners. Make sure to familiarize yourself with all camera functions such as pre-programmed modes, hindsight, timer, horizont auto leveling, image stabilization, time lapse and time warp, and many many others. GoPro is super versatile and knowing what it can do does make learning curve easier!
Camera is waterproof to 33ft or 10 meters (as shipped, some accessory doors may reduce waterproofing), front lens cover is easy to replace (just twist it to remove) if case it gets damaged (it also has hydrophobic coating now so don't lick it!). It's just 2 buttons and a touch screen to control everything, but it does take a while to go thru all the menus!
Accessories to get if you are just starting: GoPro Shorty - super versatile tripod/handle, GoPro Media Mod (it adds a better microphone and additional mic input), extra battery and dual battery charger (especially if you plan on filming in 4k 120Hz!). One battery lasts for about 1.5 hours of filming.

Fun, portable and safe way to enjoy fire
on September 25, 2021

Fire pit is an awesome addition to your backyard or camping activities. This one is super lightweight, portable (base fits into the top portion for transport, handle and carrying bag are included) and safe way to have fire going anywhere you like. One caveat - it can't go directly on combustable surface (like wood or composite deck), you'll need stone, concrete or dirt underneath it as embers do fly down sometimes. Lighting is extremely easy - just add your wood and put a couple of "tumbleweed" natural fire starters underneath. Firepit is designed in a way that it always draws fresh air from underneath resulting in a smooth clean burn (very little smoke comes out). It's a great and safe way to enjoy those long evenings in the fall! Outside walls do get hot but they won't burn you instantly, so it's pretty safe even if you have pets or little ones.

Takes too long to measure
on September 14, 2021
Posted by: xKing
from Frisco, TX
I'm not a healthcare professional not I have any blood pressure problems, however I do get my regular checkups at my doctor and trying to compare this device to what doctor's office uses.
First impression - while it works - it takes way to long to measure - on average about 50 seconds and sometimes even longer. My arm starts to feel numb while using this device and I can't wait to take it off. In addition to that - sometimes it will start pumping back up in the middle of the measurement cycle or it will randomly give error 2 (You are talking or moving) or irregular heart rhythm indication. Not a pleasant experience at all.
Device is powered by 4 AA batteries which are easy to replace and alternatively can be powered by the external AC adapter (not included), however instructions say to remove the batteries before using the AC power. Talking function is definitely a plus for elderly who might have troubles seeing the screen. It also has 2 person memory and can store up to 100 measurements which allows you to track your results.
Overall - it works, but I would look for something more reliable and not that painful to use.

Just right for Microsoft Teams
on July 15, 2021
Posted by: xKing
from Frisco, TX
I spend most of my work days on meetings and was looking for a great wired headset (wireless tend to die on me a lot). Logitech Z750 turned to be an amazing choice! It's solidly built, USB-A and USB-C compatible (included cable is USB-C but C to A adapter is included in the box) and provides a great sound quality! It works out of the box, just plug it in and any meeting software (Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx) works with it, but if you like a little bit more controls - you can optionally install Logi Tune software from a Logitech web site which will allow you to Fine tune your meeting experience.
Adjsutments include - Sidetone - which is how much of your own voice do you hear? I normally have this set to 70% so I don't feel weird not listening to myself. Mic Level and Equalizer settings (possible EQ options - Default, Volume boost, Podcast and Bass boost). I have my EQ set to default all the time. Additionally you can choose if you would like Voice Prompts (such as Mute On/Mute Off prompts) and to automatically mute you if mic boom is positioned facing up (out of the way). Headset comes with a little in-line remote about 2 feet away from the headphones which allows you to quickly mute/unmute, adjust volume and pickup or drop the call. Headset can be work with mic boom on the left or right side (however the assumption is that it's on the left, but that only matters if you listening to the stereo podcast)
Overall - it's a great choice for a whole day teleconference, however if you do have a big head like I do - it may be pressing on your ears a bit too much. I took 1 star off just because I do feel a little discomfort on my ears after a prolonged period of time and have to slide the ear cushions forward just a little big, this reduces background noise isolation but stops the discomfort.

Great kit to get you going!
on June 25, 2021
Posted by: xKing
from Frisco, TX
If you ever tried to vlog or do a livestream on YouTube or Instagram - you know that your phone is an awesome all inclusive device to do it. It has a great camera and a very decent microphone, but you have to find a way to hold it real steady, shield from wind (to avoid wind noise) and make sure you are not in the dark or not against the bright light source behind you.
RODE Vlogger Kit is a perfect solution for all these problems!
It comes as 3 major parts:
Tripod - which is adjustable for 2 different height settings (by twisting the plastic ring just above the legs) or can be used as a handle with all 3 legs folded. It comes with a ball mount already attached, however it's easily removable and if you like - you can add an extension rod between the tripod and a ball mount (for example Invisible Selfie Stick works great) to extend the height. Phone mounting bracket is equipped with rubber pads to hold your phone gently but firmly in place, just tighten the screw and your phone is not going nowhere even if you shake or bump ip pretty hard. Ball mount allows for pretty much any angle or even a portrait mode.
Top of the phone holder comes equipped with a cold shoe mount for a light and conveniently there is a little light cube in the kit! It's amazingly bright for it's size and light output can be adjusted in 4 steps (however it does not remember previous setting and always starts with the dimmest one) 60/160/230/300 lumens. Not only this light comes with a diffusor, but also with 8 colored gel filters to change the light color (or match ambient light temperature for a correct white balance for example).
And of course - microphone. It's a cardioid pattern directional microphone capable of picking up frequencies from 20Hz to 20kHz, powered by the Lightning port from your device and also features 3.5mm jack for headphones. Noise rejection from off-axis makes your recordings sound professional (no "all around noise" as if you would used an internal phone microphone) and almost eliminates wind noise with included wind filter (aka dead cat). The only problem I had with the mic is that my phone's Lightning port is kinda deep when I use phone case, so I had to find a little Lightning port extension. Mic needs to be unplugged and re-plugged if you would like to change it's direction.
Overall - it's all you need to start vlogging/streaming with your phone, it's lightweight enough to take it anywhere and makes it so much easier and safer (it's less likely that you drop your phone!).

B&W PI5 true wire-free headphones are attractive, well-built, and they deliver a refined sound quality. Featuring Bluetooth 5.0 with Qualcomm aptX technology these earphones ensure reliable connectivity whether you are streaming from your smartphone, tablet or PC. Allows connection of up to two devices at the same time, however, only one device can be used to play or make a call at a time. Download the Bowers & Wilkins free headphone app, available for Apple and Android for further control of the sound and noise cancellation, right on your phone. The PI5 headphones feature the latest innovations in adaptive noise cancellation along with 4 built-in microphones that pick up ambient noise and cancel it with an equal, but opposite, audio signal and enhance the call quality. There are three levels of Adaptive Noise Cancellation – High, Low and Auto, that can be controlled either by the multi-functional button on the left earbud or via the app. Similarly, the touch-sensitive button on the right earbud allows you to enable voice assistance. The buttons also allows you to control playback and phone call functions with single (play/pause, answer call), double (skip forward, end call), or triple presses (skip backward). Another stand-out feature of these headphones is the intuitive detection sensors that put the earphones on standby or reconnect them depending upon whether they are removed or put back on. The PI5s come with a sturdy and attractive charging case for charging the earbuds when not in use. The case is equipped with two 350mAh rechargeable batteries. Each earbud has a rechargeable battery which provides up to 4 hours of wireless playback. Including the charging case, the PI5 can provide up to 12 hours of continuous playback.

A little on a bass side
on May 21, 2021
Posted by: xKing
from Frisco, TX
Let's get straight to the point - I value sound equipment for it's ability to deliver accurate sound - closer to the original artist's / producer's version - the better. These are an awesome headphones, but they do seem to boost bass a bit too much for my taste (and neglect highs). There is nothing in the settings or an App to remove that bass boost.
Other than EQ issue - headphones are pretty decent, comfortable to wear while exercising or on the run, they do come with 3 different sized tips for an optimal fit. Earbuds have proximity sensor in them which allows them to pause/resume track when removed from the ear, however I found that sensor a little bit finicky. Sensor can be disabled using the app though.
Noise cancelling works very nice - headphones sit pretty tight in the ear canal and provide great noise isolation on it's own but active noise cancelling improves on top of that. There are 2 "spatial awareness" modes available as well just in case you need it.
Battery life is nice, each earpiece reports it's battery life to the phone and it's available in the app, charging case does not report battery percentage to the app, but it has an LED which changes color depending on the case battery state (when earpieces are out of the case - LED shows case battery status, when earpieces are in - earpiece battery status). Case can be charged via USB-C or by any Qi compatible wireless charger.
Overall - it's a nice wireless set of earbuds, and I really hope that EQ can be fixed with the next firmware update.

Must have for a DSLR
on May 13, 2021
Posted by: xKing
from Frisco, TX
If your are serious about recording video with your DSLR (or mirrorless) camera at all - you pretty much have to get an external microphone. Camera internal mic is typically noisy, picks up all camera sounds and not sensitive enough. Shure is a well know microphone maker (SM7B is pretty much a gold standard in podcasting) so I was super excited to try their camera mounted microphone!
Mic goes on top of the camera into the hot shoe (where flash normally goes) and connects to the camera microphone input via 3.5mm cable (included). Microphone output is a dual mono, unbalanced. Not only this dramatically improves sound quality and makes it possible to record a person standing 10ft away from the camera, but it also cuts down on the noise significantly!
This is a shotgun microphone with a pop/wind filter attached to it, it's capable of recording sound frequencies 50Hz to 20kHz. Microphone gain is adjustable 0 to 60 points with 1 point increment, there is a low-cut filter (on/off) which rolls off frequencies below 170Hz 12dB per octave (useful to remove wind noise), however in a windy conditions - wind screen is recommended (model number A83-FUR).
Microphone is powered by 2 AA batteries, battery chemistry can be selected in the menu (Alcaline, NiMH or Lithium) so you have accurate lifetime representation. All settings done on the on-board LCD screen and a 5 position joystick.
What if you prefer to record sound separately? You don't need a recorder with this mic! It has a micro SD card slot which can hold cards up to 32Gb and record up to 64 hours of sound! SD card recording and camera output are active at the same time, camera output level is independently adjustable as well (LOW, MED, HIGH).
Live monitoring is possible via on-board headphone monitoring port (output level is adjustable 0 to 60 with 1 step increments).
Overall - microphone quality and amount of possible adjustments is impressive! It can be used without a camera too (just as a standalone recorder), just use the 1/4" mount at the bottom.

My floors are squeaky clean!
on April 18, 2021
Posted by: xKing
from Frisco, TX
My previous experience with vacuum robots was not very pleasant - they got stuck, cleaned unpredictably (cleaned where they felt like vs going where I needed them to), were noisy and required messy cleanup of the dust bin multiple times. Once I even had my old robot trip my home security system cause it moved the chair and I had some explanation to do with responding officers.
I was super excited to finally get to try the DeeBot! It has and improved surface mapping system (that turret sticking above the robot is actually a sensor array) and is able to build my home map very efficiently. Once the robot has collected enough data - it will actually recognize rooms as areas and let you pick the cleaning order. Included charging dock/emptying station takes the messy cleaning away, robot will automatically dock for charging and self-empty it's dust bin into a station's bag (which seems to last pretty long!). Once the emptying station bag is full - it's easy to swap it with a new one, no mess, no dust flying around. Robot's own dust bin is easily accessible, they even included a small cleaning brush to assist with cleanup!
Mopping - this is a very nice bonus to this machine as before I had to use a separate robot, now with DeeBot - it's all in one! Just fill up the water tank and attach microfiber mop. Robot will automatically recognize it's in a mopping mode and won't go over carpeted areas, it will only clean hardwood/tile surfaces. Water tank is large enough to last thru the whole cleaning!
Battery life - finally a robot that does not go to recharge 2-3 times during the whole cleaning!
Now my last point - does it get stuck? Yes, but very infrequently. My bad spot is the small rug in front of the front door so I have to remember to remove the rung (which allows robot to mop under :)).
Overall - I'm extremely happy with DeeBot - I can finally let the robot clean while I'm working from home and not 'babysit' it to make sure dust bin is clean, it's not stuck under the chairs or anything like it. Noise level is very low so it does not really disturb me.

Great travel companion
By xKing from Frisco, TX
This laptop would be a great travel companion. Screen can be folded all the way to the back making this laptop a big tablet, Windows recognizes it as a "tablet mode" and adjusts the interface so that's easy to use that way. Tablet mode is a great idea if your space is limited such as a car or an airplane. That is if you don't mind wiping your fingerprints off the screen later.
Overall construction is very nice and solid, aluminum top cover and plastic bottom make it easy to hold and it does not get real hot to the touch while working. Bottom is fairly easy to take off (philips screwdriver and plastic prying tools needed) allowing access to the single memory slot and a hard drive (watch for hard drive - it will fall off when bottom cover is off). Laptop has a good selection of ports (including HDMI, 2x USB 3 and a USB-C!) making it easy to connect to the accessories you need. Hardware volume control paddle is located on the right side of the laptop almost next to the power switch - I actually send laptop to sleep couple of times while trying to adjust the speaker volume, so be careful.
Screen resolution is a full 1920x1080 HD but the space under the screen (where the Acer logo is) feels unused - I wish Acer did extend the screen to the bottom a bit more. From the beginning - my laptop had a very noticeable green tint to the screen which I had to correct using the Windows color calibration tool - no issues after that.
Keyboard and the touchpad are functional and easy to use, keyboard is backlit (either on or off, no brightness adjustment).
Battery - I was able to use laptop for 4 full hours watching videos, surfing web and working on the documents before battery fully drained, it took it 3 hours to charge back to 100%. Included 45W power adapter is surprisingly small and easy to pack, supports any voltage from 100 to 240 so overseas travel is not a problem!
Performance - I did not notice any delays while working with the big office documents, 8 Gb RAM (upgradeable to 12Gb) and i5 CPU have more than enough for any office tasks, however I would recommend upgrading to SSD if you require a lot of disk activity.
Overall - great laptop for those who work on the go and need a good selection of ports at the workplace, strong performer!

It's really comes down to your personal preference. HP you've mentioned has a smaller 13.3" screen, but a solid state drive will perform better. Acer has a bigger screen but a slower mechanical hard drive.

Physically - any 2.5" SSD drive will fit. It really depends on your budget and how much storage would you like to have. I personally use Crucial drives.

Finally an Android tabled designed for your car!
By xKing from Frisco, TX
This tablet would be a real good option for those who want just an Android tablet in the car, it mounts hassle free with the included mount. I used the "bean bag" as a base and suction cup attached to the bean bag.
Tablet has a magnetic attachment at the back that takes care of the electrical connections as well so all you need to do is to place the tablet on the mount and that's it! No wires to plug in!
Physically it's a very well made device with rubberized back which makes it secure in hand, screen is bright and I had no problem looking at it with my polarized sunglasses on.
It has micro USB port for charging / data transfer, micro SD card slot, mini HDMI port and a 3.5mm sound output jack.
Mount has a full size USB port, 3.5mm sound output jack that you can connect to your car's AUX input and a power port, that connects to the standard 12V DC or 24V DC cigarrete lighter outlet. Optionally - you can screw in an included FM transmitter antenna to the mount, so it will output sound to your car's FM receiver.
Hardware volume control, power switch and a home button are on top of the tablet, buttons are easy to operate while the car is moving.
Unfortunately this tablet does not have a built in modem so if you would like to connect it to the Internet while on the road - you will need to have some kind of WiFi in your car. This kinda defeats the main product slogan of making any car a connected one, you will still need to provide your own connection. I've used a mobile WiFi hotspot for my test.
Included apps:
Navigation - I liked that one, it comes with the lifetime Map update, directions are clear and easy to follow, speed limit is displayed for major roads and you could optionally setup a notification for when you are over the speed limit for X number of MPH. No school zone alerts though.
Online functions include gas prices (by GasBuddy), traffic and weather - all of these require tablet to have an active internet connection. Weather could be useful when planning your route while pulling a trailer for example, so you could avoid windy roads. Mount does have a very good GPS receiver built in so when tablet is on the dash - you will be getting a strong GPS coverage, however if you take the tablet off the dash - it will turn into "Waiting for GPS signal" mode without a clear sky view.
Dash Camera - well, it requires you to mount your tablet so it's back camera is acting like a dash cam but that means you have to position tablet vertically, aim camera on the road and make sure nothing is in front of it. I've tried using it and while picture quality is good - frame rate is not, it's more like 15 FPS which makes passing cars look blurry. You would also need to start the Dash Cam recording every time you start your car since it would automatically stop recording every time you turn your car off (and tablet looses the external power). During my tests I've found that included mount is pretty shaky and it makes a camera recording pretty shaky too. There is an option to record sound, but no way to put current date/time, speed, GPS coordinates on the record.
Collision waring - unfortunately it was showing "calibration" and was never able to do anything, I suspect it may be due to the position of the front facing camera in my car. In addition to that - you can't launch the collision warning app AND a dash cam app at the same time - they would complain that camera device is used by the other application.
Backup Camera - it requires you to purchase an optional backup camera kit from Rand McNally, I did not have the kit for this test.
Tire Pressure and Temperature monitoring - again - that's an optional accessory (4 sensors and a receiver module) that is sold separately.
I see this one being very useful for the trailers, so you always know your trailer tires are ok.
Car Diagnostics - that is really a DashCommand app that is available for the purchase and requires an optional OBD II reader accessory which is sold separately.
Other pre installed apps include Rand McNally app store, Road Atlas and trip planner.
Besides pre-installed apps - tablet comes with the choice of 3 external app stores you can install: Amazon App Store, APKPure and Aptiode. Google Play Store is not available by default but you can put it on manually. After that - you are free to download anything you like, about 18Gb of onboard memory is available.
Overall - it's a great hardware with a lot of options, hassle free mount and connection to the car, but included software needs some work.

Well, it did install, but you are correct - Google Services App is crashing. I suspect it needs a little bit more that that, probably a GAPPS package, just need to find a way to load it. I will post here if I will be successful.

Great for beginners, easy and plenty of features!
By xKing from Frisco, TX
This is a great receiver if you just getting into the home theater, plenty of features, 6 HDCP 2.2 compliant HDMI inputs, 7 on-board amplifiers make it a great choice!
Setup is extremely easy and detailed wiring instructions are available in the manual as well as on-screen guide, you could get it all setup in less than 30 minutes.
There are the biggest advantages:
1) Great streaming capabilities - receiver supports Apple AirPlay, Google Chromecast Audio (it could be also controlled with Google Assistant) and Spotify (premium Spotify subscription is required). AirPlay support includes synchronous playback in multiple rooms.
2) Receiver supports all existing High Definition Audio formats - DSD, DTS-MA, Dolby ATMOS, DTS:X
3) Very easy automatic speaker setup and configuration.
4) 2 zones are supported, this receiver can power total of 7 speakers at the same time, so if you enable zone 2 - your 7.1 or 5.1.2 speaker configuration would become 5.1
5) great networking options - Ethernet or WiFi connections supported
6) Bluetooth could work in transmitter mode! This means that you can stream music from your receiver to the bluetooth speaker or headphones!
Few negative points:
1) First and the biggest one - this receiver is not as powerful as many would like. First thing I do when I consider a new receiver - I flip it around and look at the power supply rating, this receiver states 240W. Let's assume 30W of power is needed for receiver itself and pre-amp, which leaves just 30W of power available per channel if all channels are driven. That is not enough if you have big tower speakers, however if you only using bookshelf speakers in the small room - it could work for you. User manual does not list power rating for 8Ohm speakers, only figure you see is for 6Ohm 2 channels driven at 0.09% THD and receiver would supply 100W per channel. But where are the figures for 8Ohm? This is not unique to Sony, most of the receiver manufacturers tend to over inflate power ratings. Ideally I would like to see power with 0.09% THD all channels driven into 8Ohm.
2) 4Ohm speakers won't work with this model
3) If you have a turntable - you will need to use it's own phono pre-amp or external phono pre-amp, this receiver does NOT have an internal PHONO pre-amp.
4) Manual EQ settings are almost non-existent - you get 2 sliders: Bass and Treble, no actual frequency bands. No EQ settings for the subwoofer channel at all.
5) Receiver is a little sluggish to react to it's own remote, there is a noticeable delay between button press and reaction.
6) No pre-amp outputs for the main channels, only for zone 2 and subwoofer
7) Included remote is fairly simple and central arrow keys seem to rattle.
Overall: this Receiver would work great if you use it with small bookshelf speakers and you like things to get setup automatically for you. However advanced users may want to look at the different model.

Sorry about the confusion, what I meant to say - the receiver is great if you just getting into Home Theater, but it lacks advanced features. Talking about my friends - I would recommend them a different model because I would be able to help them further with the system configuration, therefore advanced model would work better.

Listen to your playlist in peace with these Sony headphones. They have a 40mm dome driver to deliver the full depth of audio, and the noise cancelling feature minimizes outside disturbances for a better listening experience. These Sony headphones have a battery life of up to 30 hours for extended jam sessions.

Really wanna buy these headphones, but does the ANC from these (Sony) create an undesirable pressure to the eardrums? Tried the Bose, they hurt my ears after a while...

Sony has an interesting feature called pressure adjustment - it calibrates the noise cancelling based on the ambient atmospheric pressure (hold the noise canceling button to perform the calibration), I think that might help you, give it a try! I don't have any discomfort with either Bose QC35 or Sony so I can't really tell for sure.

Bring bold color to your gaming hobby with this Razer Kraken analog headset. Thick padding and a lightweight construction make it ideal for extended wear, and the fully retractable microphone lets you adjust the device to meet your needs. This Razer Kraken analog headset has a long cable that provides flexibility of movement as you play.

Does your voice playback through the headset? I always have one earphone off so I can hear myself so I'm not too loud and that's how my last headset broke

that is not the question to the headphones but more to the application you using. if it has the ability to mix input into output - you'll be able to do so. However - I was able to hear myself when wearing these headphones just fine, they are not that much isolating

Cook delicious meals for the whole household with fresh-tasting ingredients. This Samsung refrigerator keeps produce crisp, stores meats and cheeses at optimum temperatures, and makes frozen foods last longer.

Why are the crisper compartments not sealed?

Why are the crisper compartments not sealed? I can see a space between the edge and the top of the compartment. The space is visible on the photos of this model too.
You have to understand how the fridge works - it has a fan that blows air behind the freezer to chill the air down and then distributes air around the top compartment. In order for that air to be able to circulate - the gap is left (just like under the internal doors in the house, so HVAC works)
