Just right upgrade for S1 Pro
on May 21, 2023
Posted by: xKing
I do public speaking mostly and ability to quickly set up is essential. Power may not be available or extension cords and microphone wires create tripping hazard. S1 Pro Plus is the answer! It's a much appreciated upgrade of the S1 Pro that added built in wireless capability. No longer I need to find a wireless mic kit, everything is included with S1 Pro Plus. Internal battery lasts up to 11 hours (and takes about 4 hours to fully charge) and wireless line/microphone and instrument transmitters eliminate signal cables. Mic/Line transmitter does not seem to introduce any noticeable delay nor feedback, I had no problem during a couple events I had to do. Along with wireless capability - speaker is well equipped with 3 input ports (2xXLR/TRS and 1xTRS / standard 3.5mm jack) one XLR output (that can be used to daisy chain the next speaker) and Bluetooth connectivity. There is a bons USB-C port to transmit audio to a connected computer (for live streaming on Zoom for example) and USB-A port to charge your electronics! Each input channel is individually controlled by a combination push/turn knob and a little screen. Volume, Treble, Bass and Tone match (line, mic, instrument) are individually adjustable. Wireless transmitters are conveniently stored inside the special "bays" inside of the speaker where they also charge and update firmware when needed. Speaker firmware can be updated via USB-C connection as well.
Overall it's a wonderfully equipped speaker which includes all you need for outdoor performance - would it be speaking or playing instruments. You would obviously need to bring your own microphone, instrument and pole mount (if desired). Speaker can be placed on the ground in either standing upright, tilted back or on the side position, it would automatically detect it and use appropriate twitter (there are 3 twitters in the array and one midrange driver) for the best sound.
Few things I've noticed that might be improved:
- Wireless Transmitter Bay covers are easy to loose, it's ok if you always keep your transmitters in the bay, but if you are not - those covers can be easily misplaced
- Old S1 Pro had all the physical controls and knobs, one glance at the speaker allowed me to see there Reverb, Tone, Treble and Bass were, now I have to rely on the little screen menu.
- Sometimes when reaching for the volume adjustment knob I inadvertently push it and end up on the Treble adjustment instead.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bowers and Wilkins Pi7 S2 True Wireless headphones continue the success of Pi7, delivering hi-resolution, crystal-clear audio quality for your movies, music, and phone calls. Featuring 9.2mm dual hybrid drive units enhanced by individual amplifiers and Qualcomm aptX adaptive technology, these earphones ensure stable wireless connectivity whether you are streaming from your smartphone, tablet, or PC. Download the Bowers & Wilkins Music app (available for iOS and Android devices) to enjoy high-quality music streaming from Deezer, NTS Radio, Qobuz, SoundCloud, TIDAL, and TuneIn. The Pi7 S2 showcases improvements to its predecessor, Pi7, like the end-cap construction with a revised antenna design for extending its connectivity range to up to 25m while keeping the wireless connection stable. The Pi7 S2 headphones feature active noise cancellation that gets activated with a touch of a button, along with call-clarity enhancing microphones that pick up ambient noise and cancel it for clear call quality. The touch-sensitive button on the right earbud also allows you to enable voice assistance. Another stand-out feature of these headphones is the intuitive detection sensors that put the earphones on standby or reconnect them depending upon whether they are removed or put back on. The Pi7 S2 comes with a sturdy and attractive charging case for charging the earbuds when not in use, just like the Pi7. These earphones deliver 5 hours of playback on a single charge, and 24 hours of battery life (including the battery life of the wireless charging case).

Great update to the great earbuds
on March 28, 2023
Posted by: xKing
I've been using Pi7 earbuds for about 2 years almost every day now and was super excited to try the Pi7 S2 - second generation! What can be added to the exceptional audio quality and powerful noise reduction? Earbuds and charging case look almost exactly the same with the exception of some decorative metal looking band and, of course, a big "wireless" button on the case which allows to plug case into audio source (like airplane entertainment system) and transmit audio wireless to the earbuds! Included USB-C to 3.5mm jack cable is required for that to work so make sure to pack it in your carry on! Single charge is good for about 10 hours of use in a loud environment in my case (gym, yard work, running power tools). Bowers & Wilkins Music app can be used to adjust noise cancelling mode (between Max, Auto and Off) and update firmware. You can also see charge level of both earbuds (just a single indicator for both), but, unfortunately the only way to tell case battery status is by looking at it's LED (Red - battery low, Yellow - battery half, Green - battery above 3/4).
Overall - it's an extremely well sounding earbuds, if you value quality audio - it's a pair for you!

Camera quality is outstanding
on December 10, 2022
Posted by: xKing
This drone is new addition to the Mavic 3 family, compared to the regular Mavic 3 - it does not include telephoto camera, but it's a bit cheaper so if telephoto is not necessity - it's a great choice! You still get a 3x digital zoom with Mavic 3 Classic and 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad camera is truly outstanding. It can shoot in 5.1k at 50fps or 4k at 60fps and 4k 120fps slow motion, it's mounted on a 3 axis gimbal that assures image is always perfectly stable (FPV mode is available to emphasize bank as aircraft turns to make your footage more airplane-like). Props never come into camera field of view. Aperture setting (2.8 to 11), shutter speed and ISO (up to 12800) can be either automatically set or manually chosen in master mode, there is a way to put histogram on the remote's screen to aide operator in setting the correct exposure. 20MP photos (5280x3956) can be taken in the camera mode which also allows for exposure bracketing for those HDR images.
Total flight time is advertised as 46 minutes and I was able to achieve around 30 in a pretty high wind (wind resistance up to 12m/s which is 23 knots) before I had to start heading back "home". Drone is equipped with intelligent return to home function that skips climb to the safe altitude if obstacle avoidance is possible - which saves time. Speaking of obstacle avoidance - in certain modes like "active track" it's a really great feature as it would allow operator to concentrate on the video being taken.
Battery charge takes about 1.5 hours and I recommend purchasing a battery charging hub, you'll probably buy more batteries later anyway, plus it allows for better battery cooling during the charge process (battery won't charge if it's too hot).
Included remote with an integrated touch screen is absolutely a blast - no need to fiddle with your phone anymore, it significantly cuts down the pre-flight time! Remote has threaded mounting holes for different accessories as well.
Prop noise and performance - being a bigger drone - I actually like how quiet it is! Big propellers (that are easy to remove by just push and twist action) make significantly less noise than small drones! Maximum airspeed of this drone is 42mph in a sport mode, 33mph in Normal and 11mph in cinematic. It's also equipped with a cruise control function which allows for a smoother flight while taking a video. Aircraft maximum service ceiling is 6000ft above sea level.
Overall - it's an excellent photo/video drone, could not wish for a better camera! Easy to control, safety features include obstacle avoidance and air sense (detection of the manned aircraft via ADS-B), smart return to home - guarantee long and productive service life of your investment!

Neato D9's 200 minute runtime, covering 1,600 square feet on a single charge, makes it ideal for medium to larger-sized homes. You can't use circles to clean a square corner. That's why Neato's D-shape allows for a 70% larger brush than those found in round robots along with an industry-leading 0.70 liter dirt bin that holds more dirt between cleanings. Neato's D9 offers corner-to-corner and edge-to-edge cleaning in a short amount of time and its unique Helix multi-surface brush is now 50% quieter on hard surfaces. Neato's D9 also offers 40% greater dirt pickup than D3 & D5. The powerful performance combined with an easy-to-clean Ultra-Performance filter traps up to 99.5% of allergens and dust. Equipped with energy-saving Eco Mode for general vacuuming to high-performance Turbo Mode, Neato gets the job done. The Neato D9 uses LaserSmart powered by LIDAR, the same technology used in self-driving vehicles, to map and navigate your home with precision, leaving your carpets with those satisfying straight vacuum lines in no time. Because it uses lasers, not cameras, to navigate your home it works just as well in low light conditions like under furniture and never records images of you and your belongings. It also doesn't have microphones on board and features state-of-the-art encryption both on the robot and in the cloud. With regular software updates sent automatically, you can feel confident you're getting the latest features as soon as they're released. Get cleaning in minutes with Neato’s hassle-free setup using the MyNeato app. Create Zones to target trouble spots more often—like crumbs under the dining table. Create No-Go Zones to avoid spaces such as a pet dish or child’s play area. Clean where you want, when you want—on demand or scheduled in advance. Available in a premium, brushed black finish that fits in with any décor. Let Neato D9 take care of the dirty work. You've got better things to do. The Ultimate Cleaning Machine.

Gets stuck quite a bit
on October 25, 2022
Posted by: xKing
I needed a vacuum for upstairs and this robot seemed like a great fit. Charging base is super slim and won't take much space in the hallway (it's not a self-cleaning dock), I did not need moping capability either. Robot is very easy to setup using Neato phone app and can get going in a few minutes.
There are 2 power settings - Eco for reduced suction and Turbo for some extra power (makes it a bit more noisy), I keep mine on turbo and it's still able to go thru 800sq ft of carpet on a single charge. However - I wish navigation software could be better. Sometimes it gets stuck under furniture and while I do receive a push notification on the phone - it's also trying to say out loud what is wrong. As soon as robot is moved away from the problematic stop - chances are it will go there again! Couple of times it could not find it's charging dock even though it literally parked right in front of it! Sometimes it becomes stubborn and tries to plow it's way thru obstacles getting stuck even worse.
That said - I do like slim design and miniature docking station. Emptying dust container is super easy, robot does require a brush cleaning once in a while as well.

Stop using your phone for vlogging
on October 13, 2022
Posted by: xKing
If you've been using your phone to film your vlogs and thinking of upgrading - this is the camera for you! This kit comes with everything that is needed to start including an awesome stand/handle with integrated remote control, external microphone and image stabilized 16-50 f/3.5-63 lens. Your viewers will notice the difference! Camera has a large 23.5mm x 15.7mm 20.9 Megapixel sensor (which is definitely larger than any smartphone sensors combined) that offers great low light performance with minimal noise, on board stereo microphones (plus included external RODE mic) and a built in touchscreen that can be oriented to face at any direction. Front of the camera features tally light (Red LED) to indicate that you are really recording.
Camera saves the material to UHS-I SD card (full size SD) which is easily accessible. External power can be provided via on-board USB-C port to allow for a long recording time or use as an awesome web camera for your zoom calls/live stream events. Material can be transferred to your smartphone or a tablet using Nikon SnapBridge app (which also allows to be used as a remote control).
A few things that you should consider before buying though:
There is no eye view finder so internal display or external app are the only way to look at the frame, there is no in-body image stabilizer (IBIS), if stabilization is important - make sure you use stabilized lens (that said - Nikon has a wide variety of lenses to choose from - both Z-mount and F-mount plus FTZ adapter). Camera has external mic input, but no headphone jack to monitor audio real time (additionally sound meters disappear from the screen if it's oriented towards the object you are filming for some odd reason). There is no on-board flash either, so think of an external flash if needed.
But overall - this is an amazing upgrade from filming using your smartphone to a dedicated professional camera (which actually has most of the settings available via dedicated buttons), your vlog viewers will definitely notice!

Upgrade to one of the best radar detectors
on October 4, 2022
Posted by: xKing
It happened to all of us - driving in a steady traffic, just following someone ahead of you, not really watching the speed limit and boom - flashing lights behind and we end up with a pricey ticket. Better situational awareness is crucial to prevent this from happening! However - detector should only alert you if there is really a legitimate radar source, otherwise it will just be ignored most of the time.
I've been an Escort Radar Detector user for several years and excited to try this new model. Original Escort 360c came out about 5 years ago and was due for an upgrade - this model has really taken a lot from another recent product - MaxCam 360c.
Detector comes in a neat carrying pouch and super easy to install - suction mount to the windshield, plug 12V plug into vehicle power outlet and you all set! If your car has on-board WiFi - radar detector will use it for database and firmware updates, if not - you can just pair it to your phone over Bluetooth to configure.
Detector will alert you to radar signals around you when you driving and indicate the location signal is coming from by illuminating appropriate arrow indicators. Signal strength can be shown on the screen so you can judge how far away the source of radar signal is.
If the same signal is occurring at the same location multiple times (maybe the store doors or a fixed "speed display" sign) - detector will remember GPS coordinates of that signal source and just mute it next time.
Comparing to my other detector (Escort Redline 360c) - this new model has noticeably less false alerts, especially in the K band (it's rarely used by police officers but I keep it on just in case, most of the officers in my area use Ka band or Laser).
Radar detector is highly customizable and I recommend that you really do your research to see what radar bands should be enabled at the area you are using it, there is how I have mine configured:
(as in Escort Drive Smarter app):
K Notch: On
Auto Power: 4h
Language: English
Units: English
User mode: Advanced
Voice: Off
Cruise Alert: 35
Marker Settings: Speed Trap, Speed Camera, Red Light & Speed Camera
Over Speed Alert: Off
Over Speed Limit: 5 over
Auto Learn: On
Band Settings: all OFF except - Laser; Ka-Band Narrow 6,5,4,2,8; K-Band Narrow: 4,3,2,1
GPS Filter: On
Sensitivity: Auto
ZR3 Mode: Shift 4 Seconds
Arrow Mode: Band
Auto Mute: Medium
Brightness: Auto
Display Color: Red
Meter mode: SpecDisplay / Tech Display Front Rear 2
Pilot: Full Word
Speed Display: On
Tones: Mild (I don't like harsh alerts personally)
Couple things that I'm not a fan of - Drive Smarter app seems to be half baked. Kinda glitchy, took a while to pair the detector with it, I really prefer the older "Escort Live" app. This radar detector is not stealth (can be detected by radar detector detectors) just in case that matters in your region.
Overall - will it save you from the speeding ticket? In 90% of cases where officer is just sitting on the road and periodically runs the radar - YES. However if officer is targeting you with the laser radar gun - it's very likely that even if you get alerted of "Laser" - it will be too late (you will need Laser Shifters to prevent that).

For those looking for the best in the latest television technologies, the U8H should be a top contender. The most exciting 2022 upgrade is Mini-LED. With Mini-LEDs that are 50x smaller than traditional LED lights, local dimming and contrast control reproduce incredible black and white levels within the same scene like never before in the series. The U8H is now compatible with the Wifi 6e router protocol. Streaming from the wide selection of Google TV apps is now easier and smoother when connected to a dedicated router channel that won’t be competing with other connected devices on the same router. For gamers, the U8H now comes equipped with Dolby Vision Gaming and FreeSync Premium Pro for enhanced gaming picture contrast and even smoother, tear-free motion. And lastly, the U8H now comes with a 2-year warranty and is available in a 75” screen size. 2021 was a huge year for the Hisense U8H series and with so many upgrades, 2022 looks to be just as promising.

Can a TV bee too bright?
on September 15, 2022
Posted by: xKing
First of all - it's a BIG TV! It came on a double length pallet and it really takes 2 people to move the box around. Screen diagonal is a true 75", no games. Once you manage to get it out of the box - make sure you have a wide enough space to put it (even though legs could be installed a little bit closer or wider - 50" or 40" between the legs). Legs do provide a clip for cable management so you can have your interconnects out of the view. TV can be wall mounted, keep in mind that power connector is all the way to the right and HDMI connectors (4 of them - 2 HDMI 2.1 and 2 HDMI 2.0) all the way on the left side.
Image - wow, it's just stunning! This TV is not an OLED but image it produces does look like one! No parasitic light on dark areas of the image, no artifacts at all. First thing I've done is I went to YouTube and searched for 4k HDR and Dolby Vision demo videos - gosh, it's really mesmerizing!
Note that TV comes pre-set to some "Energy Saving" mode - take it out of it, I would recommend setting FILM MAKER mode to begin with - it really does improve picture! Speaking of brightness.. If you have a room that is always brightly lit - this is a TV for it - it can achieve remarkable 1500nits (and some tests show upwards of 2000nits) screen brightness and still maintain fantastic picture quality!
Overall - if you need a really bright TV but not ready for an OLED expense - get this TV! No matter if it's a family room, media or a game room - this TV would handle movies and games alike! It even has a little subwoofer on the back for a better sound (it does sound pretty decent, but external speakers or soundbar are still recommended).

Just don't forget to buy cables
on September 11, 2022
Posted by: xKing
It's a first Gaming monitor Sony decided to put on the market and I do think they did a great job! This display comes with amazing characteristics - 3840x2160 panel resolution, 144Hz refresh rate (via DisplayPort, HDMI is 120Hz max), Adaptive Sync and G Sync compatible (so monitor rate matches your graphics card output rate), two HDMI 2.1 ports with low latency, full size DisplayPort 1.4 and a USB-C Alt DisplayPort inputs - it's ready go with your gaming PC, laptop, Mac or a Gaming Console (such as a PlayStation). All settings are available via On Screen menu (controlled via a small joystick on the back) or INZONE Hub software (Windows Only), additionally when connected to a PlayStation - monitor will automatically adjust it's mode depending on the type of content being played (Game, Movie, etc). Sony's 96 zone (basically 12 by 8 squares) back lighting system does help with contrast compare to an edge lit displays and puts it in between edge lit and OLED monitors.
Now a few things that I hope Sony would fix - display stand being the first one. It looks great but kinda difficult to adjust properly, lowering the display brings it closer, there is no tilt available (you have to move the whole monitor), no portrait view either, however monitor is fully VESA mount compatible so you can come up with your own monitor mount if desired. Second thing is accent light on the back of the monitor - it can be adjusted between 13 different colors but it's super weak. Barely can light up the wall behind the display. And a third thing - USB-C port power output is limited to 15W only which is a bummer if you though you can power your laptop off the monitor using just a single cable for interconnection. Speaking of cables - all you get is a power brick. There are no HDMI, USB-C, DisplayPort or other data cables included. None. You expected to bring your own!
Overall - it's a very good choice for Gamers, especially if you into PlayStation world!

Tiny but packs a lot of power
on September 5, 2022
Posted by: xKing
While picking out a wall charger I consider many parameters such as - is it a company I can trust? How many ports do I have? What is the total power output and what if I use multiple ports? Many chargers significantly reduce output if multiple devices are plugged in... This one ticks all my requirements! It's smaller than a standard Apple 18W one (with Anker's prongs folded) so it's ideal for travel applications - won't tear up your bag with prongs. It's also packs a LOT of power - 65W to be precise - that is about as much as a MacBook charger provides! When using multiple outlets - power is split in the following way:
2 ports use - 45W port 1 and 20W port 2 (either USB-C 2 or USB-A)
3 ports use - 40W port 1, USB-C2 and USB-A - 12W per port
So obviously plug in your laptop (or if you charging a high powered battery pack) to port 1 all the time and use the rest of the ports for phones, watches and other lower powered devices.
This charger has enough intelligence to adjust it's output voltage to compensate for a long cable voltage drop so please use a Good Anker made or other MFi certified charging cable with your devices to unlock the full power of this charger.
I would absolutely recommend this one!

Gorgeous screen
on July 25, 2022
Posted by: xKing
This is a great workhorse for whatever office work you might need to be done! Laptop features an amazing HDR 1920x1200 screen with only about 1/4" bezels driven by a mighty RTX 3050Ti graphics card, sleek aluminum body, huge touch pad to allow for precision tracking.
Powered by a 12th gen Intel i7 6+8 core (20 thread) processor and featuring 16Gb DDR 5 2400MHz memory on board (2 DIMMs located under the bottom cover and accessible for a field replacement) - this machine crunches thru any task you might throw at it. Storage is provided by a KIOXIA 512Gb NVMe drive (there are 2 PCIe slots under the bottom cover, one is taken by NVMe and second slot is available for an upgrade).
External connections - 3 USB-C ports, Kensington lock slot, 3.5mm audio jack and SD card reader. Additionally Dell includes a small external USB-C to HDMI and USB-A dongle which is real handly for connecting this laptop to external monitor or a projector.
Power supply can be connected to any USB-C port, it provides 130W of power for the laptop and any peripherals. On-board 86Wh battery is capable of running this machine for about 10 hours doing office work or just watching youtube videos, which is quite impressive.
Overall - it's an amazing work machine, great screen real estate, trackpad, storage and connectivity options would make it a perfect choice. Very well made machine!

Connect favorite peripherals to this Acer Aspire laptop. Four USB ports let you connect accessories, transfer files or charge a cellphone while you work, and HDMI outputs make dual-screen functionality possible. Access nearby wireless networks with this Acer Aspire laptop and stream videos or upload your own images captured with the built-in HD webcam.

Great travel companion
By xKing from Frisco, TX
This laptop would be a great travel companion. Screen can be folded all the way to the back making this laptop a big tablet, Windows recognizes it as a "tablet mode" and adjusts the interface so that's easy to use that way. Tablet mode is a great idea if your space is limited such as a car or an airplane. That is if you don't mind wiping your fingerprints off the screen later.
Overall construction is very nice and solid, aluminum top cover and plastic bottom make it easy to hold and it does not get real hot to the touch while working. Bottom is fairly easy to take off (philips screwdriver and plastic prying tools needed) allowing access to the single memory slot and a hard drive (watch for hard drive - it will fall off when bottom cover is off). Laptop has a good selection of ports (including HDMI, 2x USB 3 and a USB-C!) making it easy to connect to the accessories you need. Hardware volume control paddle is located on the right side of the laptop almost next to the power switch - I actually send laptop to sleep couple of times while trying to adjust the speaker volume, so be careful.
Screen resolution is a full 1920x1080 HD but the space under the screen (where the Acer logo is) feels unused - I wish Acer did extend the screen to the bottom a bit more. From the beginning - my laptop had a very noticeable green tint to the screen which I had to correct using the Windows color calibration tool - no issues after that.
Keyboard and the touchpad are functional and easy to use, keyboard is backlit (either on or off, no brightness adjustment).
Battery - I was able to use laptop for 4 full hours watching videos, surfing web and working on the documents before battery fully drained, it took it 3 hours to charge back to 100%. Included 45W power adapter is surprisingly small and easy to pack, supports any voltage from 100 to 240 so overseas travel is not a problem!
Performance - I did not notice any delays while working with the big office documents, 8 Gb RAM (upgradeable to 12Gb) and i5 CPU have more than enough for any office tasks, however I would recommend upgrading to SSD if you require a lot of disk activity.
Overall - great laptop for those who work on the go and need a good selection of ports at the workplace, strong performer!

It's really comes down to your personal preference. HP you've mentioned has a smaller 13.3" screen, but a solid state drive will perform better. Acer has a bigger screen but a slower mechanical hard drive.

Physically - any 2.5" SSD drive will fit. It really depends on your budget and how much storage would you like to have. I personally use Crucial drives.

Finally an Android tabled designed for your car!
By xKing from Frisco, TX
This tablet would be a real good option for those who want just an Android tablet in the car, it mounts hassle free with the included mount. I used the "bean bag" as a base and suction cup attached to the bean bag.
Tablet has a magnetic attachment at the back that takes care of the electrical connections as well so all you need to do is to place the tablet on the mount and that's it! No wires to plug in!
Physically it's a very well made device with rubberized back which makes it secure in hand, screen is bright and I had no problem looking at it with my polarized sunglasses on.
It has micro USB port for charging / data transfer, micro SD card slot, mini HDMI port and a 3.5mm sound output jack.
Mount has a full size USB port, 3.5mm sound output jack that you can connect to your car's AUX input and a power port, that connects to the standard 12V DC or 24V DC cigarrete lighter outlet. Optionally - you can screw in an included FM transmitter antenna to the mount, so it will output sound to your car's FM receiver.
Hardware volume control, power switch and a home button are on top of the tablet, buttons are easy to operate while the car is moving.
Unfortunately this tablet does not have a built in modem so if you would like to connect it to the Internet while on the road - you will need to have some kind of WiFi in your car. This kinda defeats the main product slogan of making any car a connected one, you will still need to provide your own connection. I've used a mobile WiFi hotspot for my test.
Included apps:
Navigation - I liked that one, it comes with the lifetime Map update, directions are clear and easy to follow, speed limit is displayed for major roads and you could optionally setup a notification for when you are over the speed limit for X number of MPH. No school zone alerts though.
Online functions include gas prices (by GasBuddy), traffic and weather - all of these require tablet to have an active internet connection. Weather could be useful when planning your route while pulling a trailer for example, so you could avoid windy roads. Mount does have a very good GPS receiver built in so when tablet is on the dash - you will be getting a strong GPS coverage, however if you take the tablet off the dash - it will turn into "Waiting for GPS signal" mode without a clear sky view.
Dash Camera - well, it requires you to mount your tablet so it's back camera is acting like a dash cam but that means you have to position tablet vertically, aim camera on the road and make sure nothing is in front of it. I've tried using it and while picture quality is good - frame rate is not, it's more like 15 FPS which makes passing cars look blurry. You would also need to start the Dash Cam recording every time you start your car since it would automatically stop recording every time you turn your car off (and tablet looses the external power). During my tests I've found that included mount is pretty shaky and it makes a camera recording pretty shaky too. There is an option to record sound, but no way to put current date/time, speed, GPS coordinates on the record.
Collision waring - unfortunately it was showing "calibration" and was never able to do anything, I suspect it may be due to the position of the front facing camera in my car. In addition to that - you can't launch the collision warning app AND a dash cam app at the same time - they would complain that camera device is used by the other application.
Backup Camera - it requires you to purchase an optional backup camera kit from Rand McNally, I did not have the kit for this test.
Tire Pressure and Temperature monitoring - again - that's an optional accessory (4 sensors and a receiver module) that is sold separately.
I see this one being very useful for the trailers, so you always know your trailer tires are ok.
Car Diagnostics - that is really a DashCommand app that is available for the purchase and requires an optional OBD II reader accessory which is sold separately.
Other pre installed apps include Rand McNally app store, Road Atlas and trip planner.
Besides pre-installed apps - tablet comes with the choice of 3 external app stores you can install: Amazon App Store, APKPure and Aptiode. Google Play Store is not available by default but you can put it on manually. After that - you are free to download anything you like, about 18Gb of onboard memory is available.
Overall - it's a great hardware with a lot of options, hassle free mount and connection to the car, but included software needs some work.

Well, it did install, but you are correct - Google Services App is crashing. I suspect it needs a little bit more that that, probably a GAPPS package, just need to find a way to load it. I will post here if I will be successful.

Great for beginners, easy and plenty of features!
By xKing from Frisco, TX
This is a great receiver if you just getting into the home theater, plenty of features, 6 HDCP 2.2 compliant HDMI inputs, 7 on-board amplifiers make it a great choice!
Setup is extremely easy and detailed wiring instructions are available in the manual as well as on-screen guide, you could get it all setup in less than 30 minutes.
There are the biggest advantages:
1) Great streaming capabilities - receiver supports Apple AirPlay, Google Chromecast Audio (it could be also controlled with Google Assistant) and Spotify (premium Spotify subscription is required). AirPlay support includes synchronous playback in multiple rooms.
2) Receiver supports all existing High Definition Audio formats - DSD, DTS-MA, Dolby ATMOS, DTS:X
3) Very easy automatic speaker setup and configuration.
4) 2 zones are supported, this receiver can power total of 7 speakers at the same time, so if you enable zone 2 - your 7.1 or 5.1.2 speaker configuration would become 5.1
5) great networking options - Ethernet or WiFi connections supported
6) Bluetooth could work in transmitter mode! This means that you can stream music from your receiver to the bluetooth speaker or headphones!
Few negative points:
1) First and the biggest one - this receiver is not as powerful as many would like. First thing I do when I consider a new receiver - I flip it around and look at the power supply rating, this receiver states 240W. Let's assume 30W of power is needed for receiver itself and pre-amp, which leaves just 30W of power available per channel if all channels are driven. That is not enough if you have big tower speakers, however if you only using bookshelf speakers in the small room - it could work for you. User manual does not list power rating for 8Ohm speakers, only figure you see is for 6Ohm 2 channels driven at 0.09% THD and receiver would supply 100W per channel. But where are the figures for 8Ohm? This is not unique to Sony, most of the receiver manufacturers tend to over inflate power ratings. Ideally I would like to see power with 0.09% THD all channels driven into 8Ohm.
2) 4Ohm speakers won't work with this model
3) If you have a turntable - you will need to use it's own phono pre-amp or external phono pre-amp, this receiver does NOT have an internal PHONO pre-amp.
4) Manual EQ settings are almost non-existent - you get 2 sliders: Bass and Treble, no actual frequency bands. No EQ settings for the subwoofer channel at all.
5) Receiver is a little sluggish to react to it's own remote, there is a noticeable delay between button press and reaction.
6) No pre-amp outputs for the main channels, only for zone 2 and subwoofer
7) Included remote is fairly simple and central arrow keys seem to rattle.
Overall: this Receiver would work great if you use it with small bookshelf speakers and you like things to get setup automatically for you. However advanced users may want to look at the different model.

Sorry about the confusion, what I meant to say - the receiver is great if you just getting into Home Theater, but it lacks advanced features. Talking about my friends - I would recommend them a different model because I would be able to help them further with the system configuration, therefore advanced model would work better.

Listen to your playlist in peace with these Sony headphones. They have a 40mm dome driver to deliver the full depth of audio, and the noise cancelling feature minimizes outside disturbances for a better listening experience. These Sony headphones have a battery life of up to 30 hours for extended jam sessions.

Really wanna buy these headphones, but does the ANC from these (Sony) create an undesirable pressure to the eardrums? Tried the Bose, they hurt my ears after a while...

Sony has an interesting feature called pressure adjustment - it calibrates the noise cancelling based on the ambient atmospheric pressure (hold the noise canceling button to perform the calibration), I think that might help you, give it a try! I don't have any discomfort with either Bose QC35 or Sony so I can't really tell for sure.

Bring bold color to your gaming hobby with this Razer Kraken analog headset. Thick padding and a lightweight construction make it ideal for extended wear, and the fully retractable microphone lets you adjust the device to meet your needs. This Razer Kraken analog headset has a long cable that provides flexibility of movement as you play.

Does your voice playback through the headset? I always have one earphone off so I can hear myself so I'm not too loud and that's how my last headset broke

that is not the question to the headphones but more to the application you using. if it has the ability to mix input into output - you'll be able to do so. However - I was able to hear myself when wearing these headphones just fine, they are not that much isolating

Cook delicious meals for the whole household with fresh-tasting ingredients. This Samsung refrigerator keeps produce crisp, stores meats and cheeses at optimum temperatures, and makes frozen foods last longer.

Why are the crisper compartments not sealed?

Why are the crisper compartments not sealed? I can see a space between the edge and the top of the compartment. The space is visible on the photos of this model too.
You have to understand how the fridge works - it has a fan that blows air behind the freezer to chill the air down and then distributes air around the top compartment. In order for that air to be able to circulate - the gap is left (just like under the internal doors in the house, so HVAC works)
