High quality but doesn't cover area advertised

I bought this because I have about 500 sq. ft area to cool. The air was very cool coming out but did not even come close to cooling my area. I would say this might adequately cool a 200 sq ft area. I am returning it. The machine itself is very well made and has lots of features. I am so disappointed. It only cooled to about 3 degrees less than the outside temperature so definitely not worth wasting the electricity.
