Wanted a small system for the back porch. This sounded good, so I bought it. Set up is easy. Easy to understand instructions.
Hooked up everything and turned it on. Went to program the presets for AM and FM. You WILL need to hook up the antennas for this. No internal reception at all. Went through the stations and set the presets. Then ran through the stations. Only the first preset was stereo. All the rest were mono, despite my living maybe two miles as the crow flies from the Phoenix antennas. Drove me nuts. Tried moving the unit from the back of the house to the front. No dice.
Finally, as I set down to write a scathing review, I tried letting the unit auto-program the presets. Viola! Stereo EVERYWHERE. For some reason, if you manually change the station, you get mono. Don't ask me why. Apparently, that's true of the presets as well. You just have to delete the ones you don't want later.
As I wrote before, unit looks nice, sounds nice. Easy to use. But that preset - manual tune thing is a head-scratcher.
