Amazing camera - wish they stocked it in stores

Verified Purchase:Yes
Great camera for the size and price. The kits lens works fine for daily use and the focus is really fast.
I'm also using it with the Panasonic 35-100mm f2.8 lens to shoot theater performances and it's a great combination.
What's great about it: low light, fast focus, bright LCD, compact but capable
What's not so great: Need to find SCP to easy control
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dissapointed - too expensive for the results

I know you're supposed to think Bose is amazing, but I've tried enough products in the last few weeks to compare so thought I'd share my experience. I've had two sets of Bose speakers for years, and used two sets from other makers for the last week.
Contenders vs the Bose 5s:
Klipsch Promedia (~$150 at BB)
Logitech Z520 ($49 right now at BB)
Bose Companion 2 computer speakers (bought for $99 10 yrs ago)
The Klipsch wins hands down. An amazing consumer product. The price is reasonable and probably quite economical for Klipsch to manufacture because it's the same high-end design for the last 10 yrs. These go as loud as you want with 200W and wonderful detail and clarity. I can't imagine buying anything else for a powered 2.1 system ever. Every couple months I'm excited about a product I bought that was just the right thing - this is probably my purchase of the year.
2nd place tie - Bose Companion 2 or the Logitech Z520s
These are very different speakers but would be fine depending on the application. The companion 2s are actually my favorite for listening to classical music - the highs are so detailed that there are instruments playing which I can't even detect from the Logitechs. The Logitechs on the other hand are much more boomy, and not so directional. The Bose are good if you can point them directly at your head. But off center or across the room, all that detail goes away. There is also very little bass coming from the Bose 2s, even though there's a mini-sub built into each speaker.
The Logitech's have the 360 design with the tweeters pointed forward and backward. It gives more uniform sound around the room, especially for placement on a desk in the middle of room. They are also very economical at $49 right now - the difference between these and a $20 pair of typical computer speakers will be huge and would be worth the upgrade. The cons are: a little muddy highs when listening to classical, and their implementation of the 2nd audio input. When I plugged in my second computer, it muted the first. So I can't use my media computer to play music and have my workhorse laptop's system sounds play at the same time. For my needs, the inputs have to be unplugged and replugged at least daily. There is no warning about this in any of the documentation. I just learned it the hard way and so am taking them back. The Boses and Klipsch automatically mix the two inputs together at all times.
The Bose Companion 5 are my least favorite, which I'm bummed to say because I've had them for three years and they were not cheap. The high details aren't present like they are from the Companion 2s, and the 5s take up a lot of room and create a lot of cable clutter. The location of the bass adjustment is also inconveniently located on the very bottom of the back of the subwoofer which means I'll never adjust it - even if different media would benefit from adjustment. The Klipsch put this on the control module right next to the volume (perfect).
Good luck in your search. Be wary of making the assumption that price equals quality. Listen to multiple speakers and compare for yourself.
What's great about it: can get loud, nice 2nd input option
What's not so great: expensive, lack of tweeters, highs and bass mushy

Astonishing camera

Overall a stellar package with the kit lens. The obvious items are that this is a really small package for SLR capabilities. I get really sharp photos overall and very little noise in low light. There is a big system of excellent lenses available from Olympus, Panasonic, Leica and some other third party manufacturers. You can get almost any glass you want at this point, which is unique for a "compact system camera" (ie Sony NEX, Panasonic G series, Nikon 1 series, etc.)
Two things convinced me to buy this camera:
1. I tried it in the store with the 45mm F1.8 lens and was able to take shots of black objects at 1/4000 sec with barely visible noise at ISO6400. 2. I waited for the dpreview dot com review, and their assessment was it has the best photo quality you can get without stepping up to a FULL FRAME SLR (not the common SLRs, but the $3000+ ones that add up to a 10 lb camera bag with lenses).
I used to carry around my Olympus PEN and an SLR. Since upgrading to this from my Olympus Pen I stopped carrying the SLR altogether except for wildlife where I need my long lenses. I take a lot of photos of my fast moving toddler and get great results with the quick shutter speeds.
Kudos to Olympus for getting the Sony sensors into your cameras too. These are the same ones Nikon uses in its SLRs. This is the first generation of Olympus that is NOT using the Panasonic sensors and the noise and sharpness results are a big step forward.
Can't believe I'm the first reviewer. Guess it's too bad Olympus doesn't have the same marketing muscle as Nikon. These were fly off the shelves.
What's great about it: Sharp photos, great low light, beautiful viewfinder, touchscreen focusing, weather sealed
What's not so great: Price, would like brighter kit lens

Boost is great

This prepaid card paired with the Samsung Transformer Ultra or ZTE Warp is the best unlimited deal among smart phones, as long as you have good Sprint/Boost coverage in your area.
After switching from AT&T six months ago, I love paying half the price for much better service. I use the Transform for the keyboard and my wife uses the Warp and we're really happy.
Plus we don't have to feel like we're giving money to the Tea Party every time we pay the bill!

Great reader, but no AC adaptor

I like the reader - it's just what I was looking for.
But I bought it at Best Buy because the Best Buy website said it came with an AC adapter and the special Black Friday version at Barnes and Noble said it didn't.
When I opened the box from Best Buy there is no AC adapter and the instructions say this is can be purchased separately. Just beware that you'll be plugging this into your computer or another usb/AC adapter to charge.
Best Buy please update your website!

Super slow

A new card with a class 10 rating should be fast! This is really slow for my camera to write to. I've gone back to my old Class 6 Sandisk until I find something better.
I've owned two of these PNY Class 10s and they perform really poorly. If you need speed with a DSLR they are not for you.
What's great about it: price, size
What's not so great: slow, advertised fast but performs slow
