Scarface as it was meant to be.

Scarface is a masterpiece and a classic. Al Pacino delivers a gripping and perfomance as Tony Montana, you can almost believe he is Tony. Scarface shows how an empire can come up fast and go down just as quick. The movie also had the glory of being shot in the same time frame as it was set and also touch some political problems of the 1980s.
Scarface is a most for fans of crime films, Al Pacino, or movies in general.
What's great about it: Al Pacino, multiple extras, Michelle Pfeiffer
What's not so great: Hard to find time for adequate viewing

Batman & Robin. The film that ruined the original Batman movie series (not counting serials and the Adam West days). What caused it to be a flop? Basically Warner Bros. wanted it to be lighter for children and Mattel wanted profit, so the movie was basically one big toy commerical. Or at least Chris O'Donnell says it felt like it (in an interrview on the special edition he says when they made Batman Forever it felt like they were making a movie, this time it felt like they were making a big toy commerical). Basically it was throw back to the Adam West Batman mixed with wierd Batsuits (disturbingly almost every suit has nipples). Many also claimed the villians were uncharacteristic. Such as Bane who was reduced to a stupid lackey, Mr. Freeze who made puns and laughed alot, and Poison Ivy, who seemed to keep changing her goals. I don't blame the actors, I blame who ever put Joel Schumacher up to this, even Schumacher apologized for this film, when it comes to saying who let this movie be made, if you need a chuckle get this movie.
What's great about it: Price (bare bones edition), comedic at points
What's not so great: Terrible plot, awkward costumes, campy,

Todd McFarlane's acclaimed comic series comes to the screen in all its grim glory with this release featuring all 18 episodes of the animated series. Al Simmons (voice of Keith David) was a killer-for-hire under a government contract when he unexpectedly died in a fire and found himself in Hell. Desperate to see his wife again, Simmons made a deal with the Devil to lead his armies on Earth in exchange for spending time with the woman he loves. Now Simmons works in collusion with the horrific Clown (voice of Michael Nicolosi) as he struggles to do Satan's bidding while following his own agenda.

Spawn brings a dark and gritty adaption of the famous Comic book by Spider-Man and Batman artist Todd McFarlane. After going MIA in the field, Al Simmons (Kieth David) awakens as Spawn. And finds his hopes continuing his life diwndling with the revelations of his wife marrying his best friend, learning that as Al he died five years ago by being burned alive, and learning he made deal Malebogia, one of the reigning devils. While mostly true to the comics in the first season, the final two seasons each get looser, with their own dark, disturbing and enjoyable interpreations of the comic. Spawn, just like its comic counterpart, pushes to the edge of TV entertainment and breaks several barriers thanks to HBO.
And the steelbook case contains the little 'parchment' with Todd's signature on the front as he did with the comic book covers of the series.
This is for fans of Spawn, anime/animation, and comics in general. This is not for people who can't stand a little depression, people who a true to the letter adaption, or children.
What's great about it: Incredible story, good extras, signed by Todd McFarlene, For Mature Audiences, Kieth David, Ming-Na
What's not so great: Plot can get a little crazy, Not for people who need an adaption of comic true to the letter

Friday The 13th: 29 years later, this remake proves that the saga is an unstoppable movie series juggernaut. This time the effects are mainly done with computers, unlike Freddy vs. Jason and Jason X, which stuck with the traditional special effects methods. In this 'Killer Cut', the movie is far more intense, you even get some of a scene that somewhat details Jason's pyschological trauma. The only downside of the 'Killer Cut' is that the DVD edition is almost 'barebones', you get a featurette, deleted scenes and some traillers. For those who want the movie in theaters buy the Friday The 13th DVD; For those who want something more, buy the Killer Cut on DVD; And for those who want even more, buy the Killer Cut on Blu-ray.
What's great about it: Jason, great camera angles, neat special effects
What's not so great: DVD is 'barebones' almost.

Legendary heroes and brutal warriors are about to collide like never before. Both the DC Comics and Mortal Kombat universes are populated with amazing characters engaged in epic struggles for supremacy. When cataclysmic forces fuse these two worlds together, the result is a conflict unlike anything either world has ever seen. Witness the collision and join in the battle as Mortal Kombat warriors and DC superheroes clash in a showdown for the ages.Choose your side and enter the fray as Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe brings together familiar figures for an incredible fighting adventure that pits the likes of Batman and Superman against Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Make use of each character's signature fighting style to take down opponents, and neutralize enemies with distinct finishing moves that evoke the true Mortal Kombat experience. Two new fighting mechanics give you even more opportunities to savor the conflict between these two dynamic worlds, with Freefall Kombat allowing amazing mid-air battles and Klose Kombat permitting you to zero in on the fight for an astonishing close-up view. From the soaring heights of Metropolis and Gotham City to the eerie realms of Graveyard and Hell, the battle between these two powerful forces will shake both universes to their foundations, delivering an unforgettable fighting experience.

The Dark Knight vs. The Ninja Specter

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Truly a good game, I will erradicate one large myth for MK fans who haven't played it: No Fatalities= not true. If you are playing as an MK character or a DC villian you can perform a Fatality. If you're playing as a DC hero, you can perform a Heroric Brutalility. The graphics are amazing. I really only have two problems with this game: 1)story problems 2) a giltch that might only appear on Kollector's Edition.
1: The story seems to be based more on MK and DC movies. Also the characters are mismatched (Like matching Scorpion and Flash instead Scorpion and Batman) 2: In Kollector's Edition, there is a chance that the game will mess up if you beat story mode twice. You have to erase your profile data.
Other than those two problems, this game is truly impressive.
What's great about it: First Mortal Kombat Crossover, Batman, Graphics, Low usage of memory
What's not so great: Mismatched characters in story, a chance of a glitch effecting play throughs

The Bat is Back

Based on Jeph Leob and Tim Sale's Batman: The Long Halloween, The Dark Knight picks up where Batman Begins (and the animated prequel Gotham Knight) left off. In this action packed film, Batman (the incredibly talented Christian Bale) must continue tracking down Scarecrow(Cillian Murphy) and other 'Arkham Inmates' from the first film. Then he must deal with a new insane killer/theif, known as The Joker(Heath Ledger) and a mob boss named Sal Maroni(Eric Roberts). At his aid is his faithful butler, Alfred (Michael Caine), ADA Dawes (Gyllenhaal), James Gordon (Oldman), and newcomer District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhardt), who is Gotham's 'White Knight'. Throughout the course of the film, Batman is pushed to his limits. The Joker tries to drive him insane or just corrupt by pushing him until he will go to far and kill someone, turning Batman from dark hero to wanted vigilante. While for the most part all of the characters are well written, and though the clown keeps the morbid humor, Joker strays to far away from the source material for my taste. Instead of green haired and skin bleach maniac, you have a madman who won't shut up about his scars and is heavily based off of the aforementioned graphic novel's serial killer, Holiday. Despite this minor turn, The Dark Knight is as great as it's predecessor and the 1989 Tim Burton classic, Batman. This is a movie to see if you love Batman, books, comic books, films or just even music, due to the movie's bold scores.
What's great about it: Greatest movie of 2008, Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Maggie Gyllenhaal
What's not so great: Few extras, no deleted scenes

Can a PS3 play regular dvds and not just blu-ray dvds?

I just ask this because most all my dvds are hd dvds and not blu-rays, so can it run an hd dvd?
A PS3 can play regular DVDs and Blu-ray. However it cannot play HD-DVD (that is X-Box 360), which might be discontinued with DVDs in the future when the homevideo market format is switched to Blu-Ray or it will be Blu-ray and HD-DVD.
