This player is astounding. It was a replacement for the Sony 5100 which was good, but.....there's no comparison. This is the new world of players. Load time super fast. 3D quality is totally immersive. I had watched GRAVITY on the 5100, but re watched it the other night on this model...this time I WAS ducking space debris. One amazing aspect no one has mentioned is Netflix. The Netflix Super HD is amazing on this player as is the sound. The picture quality ( from streaming) looks as good, and sometimes better than many blu ray disks. This is a superior product. Thank you Sony.

GREAT SOUND .... BUT

This receiver has truly amazing sound, even playing TV, music at the lowest possible level. Friends have even been awed by it. HOWEVER, the remote is the worst I've ever encountered. For $1000 you'd think Pioneer would provide something usable. Unless you have a bright light on, forget using the remote (thank goodness, Apple has an app that can control the thing. Set up is baffling. I've been trying to find settings for 5 days and am still lost. Can't get through to support..forget that. I've set up many receivers in the past for myself and others almost blindfolded...this one defeats me. There's no users manual. Wi-fi? better be prepared to spend another $250 to $300 to get that. The Gui? what gui. Only confusing categories, no guidance. Have also noticed the video is not as crisp and sharp and colorful as my last Onkyo. If you're willing to hire a geek squad group to set everything up and write the instructions down for you to reference...this is the receiver for you...the sound does rock. If Not, go on to another brand.
What's great about it: Sound quality as good as it gets
This digital camera features an optical image stabilizer, face detection technology and motion detection technology to ensure images are clear and detailed. The DIGIC 4 image processor with iSAPS technology provides superior image quality.
I have been constantly surprised by the amazing qualiity of pictures that I have taken with this camera, both indoor and out. This is the first camera that I have felt no need to do any "fixing" of any picture. I have found that it is wise to use the appropriate setting for your surroundings, i.e. indoor, landscape, portrait etc rather than use the auto. The auto is not as accurate as it should be. It's relatively easy to use for anyone. Kind of foolproof. But.....when I purchased this camera, I had high hopes of being able to substitute it with my Canon HD vid cam. No such luck. The HD video quality is barely acceptable. I guess I'll have to keep lugging my vid cam around. Also, the flash position is very annoying. It pops up exactly where anyone whould be holding a camera that has no viewfinder, only a widescreen LCD display. It is posible to put your finger on top of the flash so that it doesn't pop up when the camera is turned on, but I worry that sooner or later, the "spring" will start to break down. The LCD screen is not as crisp and bright as I have seen on other brands. It's a little heavier than most compacts, but it will fit in your pocket. On the whole, if you're looking for the best pictures possible, this camera is a sure bet. I'm posting an indoor and outdoor picture, unretouched so that you can judge for yourself.
What's great about it: Picture quality second to none
What's not so great: HD video, pop up flash position
Forget the critics, forget the ABBA haters. This is a joyful, fun and even moving version of the stage bonanza. The Greek Island locations couldn't be more perfect. As for those who say the stars can't sing? Meryl is dynamite. Her Winner Takes It All is amazing. And what fun she has throughout the film. Baranski is a well known Broadway Musical Star and she can sing. Brosnan? He's got a gruff sound, but he sure acts the songs wonderfully. Watching MAMMA MIA is like observing a great party that you wish you were invited to.

Major Disappointment

I've been anxiously waiting for Tiger 08, but what a disappointment it is. The graphics look fuzzy, no sharpness to the courses. The sound mix is terrible. The new 3 click swing is farcical. The Photo game face only works if you have a digital camera that can connect via usb. It will not accept a flash drive usb device. All in all, I'd recommend playing the fun Tiger 07 for another year and hope that 09 will be equal to 07.

easy-to-use and easy set up

Only bought as it was the only 4k available at the time all my other products are Samsung. One thing that does frustrate me is that for no good reason does the picture from time to time goes completely off and to a snowy loss of signal type screen and then the picture comes back on. Very annoying when half way through a movie.

Your problems

You must have a defective player, as sometimes happens...return it and get a replacement. You'll be happy you did...trust me.
The thinnest iPad ever is also the most capable. It's loaded with advanced technologies, including the Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

Not so impressed!

I traded my iPad Air for this one and I have been more frustrated then anything else. This is suppose to be faster??? Yet to see the difference, the touch screen requires me to touch it multiple times for something to actually happen. The finger swipe is cut but to be honest, knowing what I now know, I wouldn't have traded my other one in. They gave me 300 for it so I'm not out the full amount but I hope I grow to like it or things get working better with updates, I might even take it back.

how can I use a PC to view the output from a blueray player?
we project movies from a blueray player onto a large (12'x16') screen and want to preview the player performance ahead of time on a PC at my desk (no TV set available). How can I do that?
If your PC monitor as an HDMI input you can plug the player directly in. Other than that, forget about it and take your chances.
