I really like these cameras. Easy to set up via Wi-Fi. All the settings worked just fine. I am now 800 miles away and able to see the cameras just fine. So what's the issue?
I need to change the settings. I can't. I am on fast internet but that doesn't help. You can't use Microsoft Edge, as it just won't accept it. Then I use Internet Explorer and get a message about the certificate. Then i use Chrome and similar problems. Then i try to change the settings and nothing. I have been trying for days.
So, you need to make sure the settings are ok prior to leaving. I am able to set everything ;up while on the same network.

I bought two of these for my new Security Cameras. They work just fine. I formatted both, installed them in the camera and no issues at all. The come in a clear plastic case and include an adapter for my PC to use as an SD card.
The price was reasonable.

I thought this would just be a fun novelty but it isn't. Set up was a snap and i located it centrally in our home via WiFi. No problem at all and it worked the first time. I have a Kindle Fire tablet and that does help a bit in management. Once set up i then added skills and even used IFTT. So now, i have a flash briefing with news i am interested in, my WEMO lights are controlled by voice as well as WEMO app, i listen to my music, i get the weather information, my family listens to jokes and much more.

I did minor research before going to purchase a holder for my smartphone. I wanted something easy and moveable. Well, this is it. Took just 5 minutes to read and understand the instructions. SEt it up in my car. The magnet works great and my phone is easy to put in and take out. This is an excellent item.

Find out who's at your door, even when you're away from home. Just connect the doorbell via Wi-Fi and use the Ring app on your iOS or Android device to interact with visitors, receive alerts and review footage.

I really didn't want to put this rating here but I have to. The sale at BB was great so I bought it. My daughter already had one and i really like it, though she had already replaced hers because of the camera after 2 days but i saw lots of promise. I received it in 2 days as BB promised. I watched YouTube installation videos as well as Ring videos. Looked easy and in fact it was. Unboxing, removing old doorbell (wired), installing the plate. New doorbell setup went very smooth. Kudos. Problem, no video. So i contacted support which was easy to do. Level one tried several things but still no video. Then they had level 2 call me. Nice. Simple to get in touch with them. The tech stayed with me on it. Total time over 3 hours with both tech levels. Still no video. Could it be my Netgear router? I switched routers just in case but same problem. After 3+ hours the conclusion was i needed a replacement. OK. I got an email later that said it had been ordered. No other information at all. So when will it ship? I don't know. I gave level 2 control of my PC and settings were changed, I noted all the changes as they may affect security so i reset them the next day to where they were.
My guess is that I am in for a long haul on this to get things working having read some forum items but we'll see. If i get the replacement and if it works, i'll come back and update this. It is very frustrating to have a $200 doorbell that has a nice chime inside and out.

An update to my review

I want to give you an update. I would raise my stars to 2 now from one. Everything about Ring is great up to a point. That point seems to be product delivery. After working with tech support it was determined i needed a new Ring doorbell. It arrived 8 days later! It eventually shipped 2 days after agreeing it was needed. It went by truck. I installed it and it worked. At least I have video now. I have been testing it for a YouTube video I am doing and now find my issue is that it detects me when i am feet from the doorbell. It detects cars in the street as i set the sensitivity to high and distance to the maximum. It never detects people walking in front of the house. It doesn't detect me when i walk up to the porch. on the other hand it is a doorbell, so i guess it does what it is designed for which is someone at your door or ringing the doorbell. It is not a security camera. I should have thought it through before I bought it. So what do I think: design is very good, video is very good, sound is good, live view is good, motion is hit and miss, anything beyond about 5 feet for people is questionable to detect. So if you want it for nagging people at the door its perfect.

An update to my review

Well, its been about a month now since i received a working Ring Doorbell. Just to focus on the doorbell and not the Customer support. It works exactly as advertised. I worked on the settings for several days and would tell you that it has a clear picture, detects motion right in front of it and large vehicles, allows for two way discussion. I still would like the motion detection to be a bit better with people within about 10m feet but that isn't happening. The cloud pricing is very reasonable.

Can this wifi camera work sitting on a window sill indoors viewing out to the driveway?
I am doing this right now. The answer is that the picture is great. The problem is that you need to set it so its not very sensitive. I am currently at 19% and need to take it lower. The picture is great.
