Good but not Great

This film was good. I would not rank it Great. It gave you the back drop on how Hanabal became who we all know him as. The only thing is that certain parts were a little to far out there and made you feel like you could not picture Hanabal doing that or things that way (this could be due to Anthony Hopkins performance being almost perfect to play the roll). Some of the things that happen made you feel like this was a movie more to show him killing people and not how he learned everything he did and how he became as educated as he was. Overall I did enjoy it for the most part and I like the whole Hanabal series.
What's great about it: Gives a back story.
What's not so great: Little bit dull.

Sin City roars to DVD with this single-disc edition from the fine folks at Dimension Home Video and Troublemaker Studios. With an enhanced version coming down the road that includes each story presented by itself in its entirety (including deleted scenes), this disc has been made to preserve the original cut of the film as it was seen in the theaters. The release is short on extras, though there is an eight-minute making-of that features interviews with the majority of the cast, as well as the creator Frank Miller and filmmaker Robert Rodriguez. Picture quality is incredible, with an anamorphic 1.85:1 widescreen presentation that radiates the contrasting picture, while the Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 tracks blare the score and effects just right to make it a satisfying listen. Those who are looking for a much richer home experience might want to wait for the next release, though there may be many that end up diving into each and any version as it comes along.

GREAT MOVIE

This movie was great, it had a large cast of well known actors. The way it was put together was very good. The black and white scenes were done very well. This is one of my top movies.

Do Not Waste Your Time

This film had no point to it and was stupid. I did not find it very funny. This film is for those between the age of 18 and 24. If your under 18 you should not be watching it and if you over 24 you have grown to mature for this movie.

This film was based on a true story. Williams performance is perfect like always. I liked it for the most part but the film was slow. It was a story that I am sure has happen to a lot of people and the only reason it was made into a film was the fact that it happen to someone famous.

The first one was great, the second one was not good so I thought the third would be a dump but it was a good movie and I liked it a lot. I would recommend it and watch it again.

This fiml was just ok. They say its a true story but who really knows. It has this love scene somewhere in the middle and becuase of it the film got one less star. Should have had more shooting and action.

Frank Oz's comedy about a needy psychiatric patient comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. There are no subtitles, but the English soundtrack is closed-captioned. The only extra feature is the original theatrical trailer. This release is sure to please fans of this film -- there is a small cult following around it -- but those that were immune to its charms during its theatrical release are not likely to be won over by this average DVD.

This is a classic or atleast it will be in a few years. If you have not seen this film you should. Its got two great actors in it and its one of those films that make you think twice.

Grosse Pointe Blank never got the attention it deserved, but it is one of John Cusack's better films. While the DVD, like most early releases, lacks supplemental features, it is nonetheless a great opportunity to see the movie's successful blend of neurotic humor and well-choreographed action with an impressive 1.85:1 non-anamorphic widescreen transfer and Dolby Sound. While it is an early transfer, the print looks good and is clear of dirt or grain. The sound outshines that of the video release and actually makes the disc an impressive sample of the audio and visual potential of DVD, at least for the early years of the format. The audio transfer also upholds the film's quirky comic interplay in its quieter moments while waiting to really deliver the goods during the action scenes. The theatrical trailer is the only special feature on the disc. While it would have been nice to hear a John Cusack and George Armitage commentary track, the disc is still worth hunting down for Cusack fans or lovers of dark comedy and gunplay.

I liked a lot of owen wilson films so I watched this one. Nothing great and kinda dumb and no point to it. I gave it a star above disapointing due to kate hudsons great performance and her perfect facial expressions just at the right moments in the film.
