Have these as surrounds. Sound awesome, however there's a slight buzz every now and then with lower frequencies. Could be the mounting bracket. So, can't blame the buzz on the speakers. Overall, I'm very surprised at how they handle the 135 watts I throw at them without distortion. Highly recommended. I am getting the ProMonitor 1000's now to see if they are able to handle the sound without ANY buzz, but these are still awesome, especially for the price.
What's great about it: Clear powerful sound with small footprint
What's not so great: slight buzzing with lower frequencies
I would recommend this to a friend!

Samsung audio problem

Purchased a Samsung 50" : The audio is poor. Not interested in surround sound - just want to understand the speech. Any recommendations other than a hearing aid ?!
My wife sells hearing aids. I am an audio aficionado and I've been to several patients houses to set up their sound after they purchased hearing aids. The problem with sound from TVs is that every sound comes from only two small weak speakers. You need to drop the bass a little and increase the treble slightly, but the biggest problem I've encountered is when people have their TVs set to produce fake surround sound. Go into your menu and make sure the fake surround is off. All that function does is turn up the background noise so it sounds like surround. What you really need is at least a 3 speaker system. A center channel for speech and two stereo speakers on the side. And oh yeah, go buy a set of hearing aids.
