We needed a new portable AC when the old one, bought 6 years ago, stopped working. We need it for our bedroom as it's a large house with only one A/C zone, plus the bedroom is above the garage. Our HOA doesn't allow window units, so this is perfect.
The Honeywell had the best ratings, plus the delivery to the door. I set it up myself, and we've had it going almost every night for the last 2 months.
It's efficient, cools the room quickly, easily adjusted. The fan makes some noise of course, but it's not disturbing, and we both sleep through it.

What's great about it: easy to set up, efficient, does the job
What's not so great: a bit bulky

That this unit venting hose must be close to the window?or can't be exstented?
The window is far from the room it must be cool
The venting hose, which looks like a dryer hose, allows the unit to be maximum about 4 feet from the window. I didn't measure, but our unit is about 3 feet from the window and I can tell it won't go much farther.
