iPhone 7 features an all-new 12MP camera with an ƒ/1.8 aperture for great low-light photos and 4K video. Optical image stabilization. A 4.7-inch Retina HD display with wide color and 3D Touch. An A10 Fusion chip for up to 2x faster performance than iPhone 6. Touch ID. Faster LTE. The longest battery life in an iPhone. Immersive stereo sound, splash and water resistant, and iOS 10.

iPhone 7 camera is flawed

When I try to take close-up pictures with the new iPhone 7 camera, the results are blurred pictures. For example, if I want to take a picture of a magazine cover page, holding the iPhone about 16 inches above the page, the camera has difficulty focusing. It jitters and never stops jittering. The result is a blurred picture and cannot read the text on the cover page. This happens even with flash or no flash. I've used my iPhone 6s to take pictures of labels on machines with great success. Helps to read the fine print on most labels. Unfortunately, I cannot do this with my new iPhone 7 Black 128GB with iOS 10.0.2. The pics are blurred. Is there anything I can do? I wonder if this is a design flaw? I wish I still had my 6s. The picture attached is just one example of the problem. The jitters are not coming from my hand. The display itself jitters while trying to take a close-up. It's as if the camera cannot focus properly. Could be a system wide problem with this phone!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Camera has been replaced by Apple
October 26, 2016
I took the iPhone with camera problem to the Apple Store in Valencia, CA, where a hardware issue with the camera was confirmed by the Genius Bar. An Apple technician replaced the camera and I had my iPhone back in less than an hour! The camera works great now! Yes, I would now recommend the iPhone 7. It's the best one yet!
