For College Students

I've had this Chromebook for only a week. I got it after my 2013 Macbook Pro failed me for the 4th time (hardware issues after hardware issues). I love Apple products (I think I just got a bad grape), especially after Microsoft's recent updates to their software. However, I only have one year of school left and am not sure what my laptop use will consist of after graduation so I wasn't about to drop another x,xxx on a computer that might end up collecting dust.
I bought this Chromebook primarily for its ability to meet my needs as a college student and its price. I spend most of my time writing papers or working on group projects using Google Drive. It's a universal platform for most students on my campus and after having lost a final paper because it wasn't backed up in Word, I've never written anything outside of Google Docs. Because Chromebooks essentially run on internet connection and everything I use as a student requires internet anyway, this was a great option for me. This particular Chromebook is slim and probably weighs less than some of my paper notebooks, which makes it a great pick for students.
I hope to see some more advancement with Android apps. Most of them work pretty well, but some have yet to be compatible with Chromebooks.
I would also like to mention that although the specs mention a USB connection, it might be useful for some to know that this is USB C, not USB 3.0. I got a USB C to USB adapter on Amazon for less than $10 so that I can charge my phone or transfer photos from my camera without an SD card.
I run Netflix and YouTube videos pretty easily and can have multiple tabs open with functional ease. I've also enjoyed the 2-in-1 feature much more than expected! Great computer so far!
