Fast, Functional, But Storage May Be a Problem

This laptop is a perfect size for a student and will give you all tools you need for a college or high school setting. Its lightweight and the ability to switch between a tablet and laptop display is something a lot of people can take advantage of. The computer is also extremely fast. This is in large part due to the SSD. Just like its description says, you sacrifice storage space for faster load times. Now, after buying two laptops with different hard drive types, I can say that the HP is much faster than my Acer with 1TB HDD. So if you value speed more than you do storage space and you don't see yourself running out of space with this laptop then go for it. Its a great buy.

I decided to grab this external drive because it was on clearance and I still wanted to be able to burn and copy CD's. It works straight out of the box with my HP pavilion. There is no need to install the software that comes with it. Your computer should recognize the disc drive and be able to play CD's and burn new ones straight away.

I have no complaints about this mouse. It is comfortable and works as advertised. The Bluetooth connectivity is a great feature. It saves you from using a USB port which would be taken up by most other wireless mice on the market. Great buy, and the colors match most HP laptops great.

I purchased this laptop after doing heavy research online. This was my first laptop that I had bought because I need one for this upcoming first college semester. This is a solid laptop and very fast. The solid state drive increases speed by a considerable amount and the Intel i5 processor is always a good bet. The backlit keyboard is a must in my opinion and the size of this laptop is perfect for a student who will be carrying it around everyday. Overall I was very happy with this computer.
Now to the reason I returned it. After about two days of having the computer it began freezing. It would just lock up randomly and I would have to manually shut it down using the power button. I contacted HP and after about an hour they assured me that the problem should be fixed. But, I didn't want to chance it. Being that this machine is last years model I wasn't sure what kind of shipping it had been through over the last months. I decided to get a refund and buy the newest model with all the same specs. I just wanted to be safe.
This is overall a good laptop, but I would just go with the newer model. It is about the same price and has newer features.

What is the battery life of this laptop
About 8 hours I believe.
